Guilty Elixir de Parfum pour Homme by Gucci

Very rich, an enveloping floral vanilla, quite a chancer. In my case, longevity and projection aren’t amazing for now; we’ll see if maceration does its thing. The official price is exaggerated, but it can be found for much less, around 75 euros for 60ml, which I think is a fair price.

I don’t understand the hype. As a fan of Quentin Bisch, I expected something finer, like Iris de Gris. Better I tried a decant than buying a bottle. It smells sharp, chemical, and aggressive from the very first second, very uncomfortable and cheap. It’s that synthetic accord of 12-euro Arab clones, but here they charge you five times more. After the initial shock, there’s no redemption. It leaves a generic, spiced sweetness, flat, without floral elegance. It lasts a long time, yes, but at the expense of refinement. It’s for those who prioritise longevity over scent. Just noise and projection.

I just tried it and people are right: it’s basically the Gucci version of Amouage’s Reflection Man. It smells of super-clean white florals, almost like detergent, with touches of vanilla and wood. Since I already own Paris Corner Killer Oud Revolution, which is a clone of that Amouage, I see they are almost identical and it makes me think the Gucci is unnecessary. I don’t notice a difference in quality. If you’re looking for that style but don’t want to spend a fortune on Amouage or the Gucci, which is more expensive and comes in 2 oz, go for the Paris Corner Killer: 30-35 dollars.

What a spectacular fragrance. It’s a white floral and vanilla scent that leaves no one indifferent. Longevity on my skin is very good, about 9 hours intense, although later it shows a bit more. In my opinion, now that it’s cheaper, it’s a very good buy before the price goes up.

It’s been 24 hours on skin and the dry-down is a genuine delight, although personally I stick with the Absolu as it’s a bit darker. A fantastic perfume either way.

What a find! I’ve been wanting the Amouage Reflection Man for ages, but the performance left me with a bitter taste (they say it’s not what it used to be), especially considering the price. When I grabbed the GG Elixir, I found something very similar in that Omani style, but with brutal performance: incredible trail and projection. It is pricey, of course, as like designer ‘elixirs’, it only comes in 60ml. But for the scent and performance, the effort is worth it. It smells like Pegasus by PdM. It’s a white floral with vanilla notes, ideal for any season (though it might feel a bit heavy in extreme heat), suitable for both day and night. In these times where commercial perfumes fail, it’s a pleasure to have stumbled upon this Gucci gem; it outshines its knock-offs. I hope they don’t reformulate it. Cheers to the group!

I’ve been using it occasionally for a year; the scent has been winning me over little by little. That white floral with vanilla notes, combined with beastly longevity, makes it the office scent par excellence, provided you moderate the sprays. I will definitely buy a refill bottle, because if Absolu comes out, I don’t know how long this fragrance will last without being reformulated.

I haven’t found anything that captivated me like this in a very, very long time. TREMENDOUS in every sense. The scent is spectacular: lots of vanilla, white flowers, and an incredible spice that results in an absolute delight. Among designer fragrances, the quality seems INCREDIBLE, more niche than not. Performance is spectacular, radiating strongly for about two hours and lasting close to 10-12 hours. Perfume madness. I’m fascinated by it. It’s expensive, but it’s worth it due to the performance; you don’t need to over-spray. I see it as very versatile, more suited to cool nights, but no problem for the day. It dresses you up, adds presence, and draws a lot of attention. For me, it’s ideal for shouting without actually shouting, for calling attention to oneself without being loud. I got 60ml for $110 on Jomashop. Without a doubt, one of my new favourites.

The iris isn’t as predominant; vanilla has the spotlight and in a heavy way, leaving the fragrance medium-creamy at the start. The first hour is very dense, creamy, heavy; then it lightens a bit and settles at a neutral point between creamy and sparkling. I like white florals, but I find it very heavy; perhaps it’s just my first impression and it will change with time. For now, it’s good, but for cold climates, day or night, it lacks a ‘captivating’ character; I feel it’s missing a bit of charm. For the female public, it might be very appealing; if you’re looking for something women find ‘nice/sweet’ and not ‘attractive’, something like a fragrance for a good first impression with a low failure rate, but little character, it’s an excellent choice for me (it’s very heavy; one spray per hand and one on each side of the neck is enough for 3-4 hours of intense projection and 12 hours of trail on skin, very resinous).

Magnet for compliments, long-lasting, special, you feel great wearing it, I think it’s among the best of the designers.

Powerful and rough opening dominated by white florals (smells like a funeral bouquet) pepper and nutmeg. 3/10 for me. After the initial impact that white floral note lingers unpleasant at first. Then vanilla iris a subtle amber and a projecting scent emerge: it’s not bad there’s something good underneath. By an hour vanilla takes over with an accompaniment that says: ‘this is wearable it has something exquisite’. It doesn’t resemble Amouage Reflection Man as I expected. My children who never usually comment asked: ‘what smells so strong?’. My wife said it smells like grandma’s makeup but nice. The next day after the gym family members told me: ‘waaaoo! you smell spectacular’. Never received so many compliments for something I don’t entirely like. I’ll give it time. 8/10: potent lasts 8 hours projects a lot. Performance 10/10 (nicho style 4 sprays are enough). Scent 5/10 (improves as it dries but to me it smells like a funeral floral arrangement). Projection 10/10. Compliments 10/10. Tried it in summer but it’s more autumn/winter/nightwear. Masculine though not entirely ruled out for unisex. If you like white florals give it a try. Bought it on Notino for 86€ a reasonable price given the performance. If you aren’t into white florals test before buying.

The first day was phenomenal but afterwards it lasted less than two hours. The same happened with Boss Bottled Elixir. Another disappointment and now there are already…

Summary: The perfume that has earned me the most compliments is simply spectacular.

I tried the tester because Fragrantica suggested it was similar to YSL Myself Le Parfum. In my opinion, they are not. This is a much more irritating and uninteresting version. The use of vanilla feels vulgar and poor taste in comparison. Next to Myself, it feels cheap and utterly uninspired.

A bit like One Million but more refined; my partner always asks what I’m wearing. Top-tier longevity and it smells fantastic.
