Delicious perfume. I received a sample of Next to Me, but judging by the notes, I think it’s Duba Next to Me, so I suppose it’s the same in a different bottle. The phases give me the sensation of something I’ve heard before, though the final result is original. A fruity opening stands out with coconut, melon, and above all peach, with a citrus touch reminiscent of the EDP opening of Habit Rouge. Then a soft rose emerges over a balsamic background, where a delicate oud and a subtle skin note take the lead as it dries. Despite the intensity, it’s not intrusive, very versatile, and unisex. Longevity very good, moderate projection. Scent: 9, Longevity: 8.5, Projection: 7, Value for money: 6, Versatility: 8, Originality: 8, Overall: 9.
Smells like sweets, quite sweet; I see it more as a women’s fragrance, like the feminine version of Le Male. I think the listed notes aren’t accurate; it smells more like fragrances with coconut, though it seems too dense and I’m not sure if it’s versatile enough for summer, I’ll have to try it again. The quality is far off from the price; it could be a designer scent at €50. Nothing special and dispensable. Projection of one metre in two hours. Longevity 7/8 hours.
Another gem from Monegal, a master who turns perfumes into art and mood. This hidden fragrance opens with saffron, peach, plum, and coconut, a true marvel. Slightly spicy, it soon settles into a delicious yet non-traditional leather, with dried rose and a brutal-quality oud. The resinous and amber base is pure bliss. A tasty, elegant, and distinct aroma, not for influencers. Top-notch quality, wear it with your head held high.
Next to Me and Duba Next to Me are the same, and what a delight. Although they claim to contain oud and leather, you can’t detect a thing; it’s super easy to wear and nothing challenging. It could easily become a signature scent without any issues.
