Wow, the love was instant upon first spray. Fruity notes with a green cherry and earthy undertone, set against a backdrop of suede and ethereal rose. Ten minutes in, the full orchestra of violet, vanilla, and resins adds depth and power. It reminds me of Aquila Absolute Electimuss—same style, striking resemblance; I adore both. Kintsugi is more delicate and powdery, yet that touch of suede and green cherry makes it incredibly sexy. Not a beast in projection: the first few hours are great, then it becomes a personal bubble that keeps you in a good mood. Highly versatile, perfect as a unisex signature scent for elegant looks. Super recommended for all seasons, perhaps not summer, but if you want to wear it, nothing stops you. On my skin, it lasts around 12 hours with some sillage after work. I love it. What a pity that hidden treasures like Kintsugi are overshadowed by the brand’s stars such as Tango or L’Attesa. Most people don’t even bother to smell or investigate thoroughly, failing to discover scents that, for me, offer a thousand times more originality and proposal than those two. Kintsugi is an absolutely irreverent and transgressive chypre, impossible to confuse with anything else. The scent is quite polarising and purposeful. In the base, we have a classic chypre, an earthy aroma that smells very much of petrichor, which, accompanied by the suede note, highlights the wet forest scent even more. It reminds me slightly of the Etat Libre d’Orange fragrance, Hermann. On that austerity blooms a very green violet that adds freshness and lightness to the fragrance, as if suddenly the sun emerged in the forest and a rainbow appeared. The two notes that imprint character and personality on the scent are the raspberry, very juicy and fruity, and the rose, a fleshy, dark, mature rose. These two notes stand out in the heart phase and balance the petrichor that the fragrance has in the base. A scent for rainy spring days and not very hot ones. Excellent longevity. Unisex.

No one bothers to investigate or dig deeper, missing scents that, in my opinion, surpass those two in originality and concept. The base features a classic chypre, earthy, smelling strongly of petrichor, which, combined with the suede note, enhances the wet forest aroma even further. On top of that dryness blooms a very green violet, bringing freshness and lightness to the fragrance, as if suddenly the sun came out and a rainbow appeared in the forest. The two notes that give it personality are the juicy, fruity raspberry and the fleshy, dark, mature rose. These stand out in the heart and balance the petrichor in the base. Ideal for rainy, not-too-hot spring days. Excellent longevity. Unisex.
