Descripción

Olé, by Ramon Monegal, is a floral fruity fragrance from the olfactive family, created for men and women. Launched in 2019, this composition was designed by Ramon Monegal himself. In its top notes, the fragrance unfolds a vibrant combination of pineapple, raspberry, and dates. The heart of the composition is held together with elegance thanks to the presence of cedar, jasmine, and orchid. To finish, the base notes offer a warm and enveloping sequence of balsam fir, musk, and vanilla.

  • Out of three tests from a discovery set of 7 (+1 sample). The scent is fundamentally fruity, with high-quality pineapple and raspberry, crisp notes that are easily distinguished. All this is accompanied by balsamic notes (according to readings, balsam fir) and a sweet vanilla and cedar base. It’s a scent that, despite the fruity notes, is more warm, pleasant, yet also bold and evocative. I haven’t tried Erba Pura by Xerjoff, but I have read its reviews and they apply to this fragrance. As a man, I find it difficult to wear; not to say it can’t be, but it’s more for a confident woman. Longevity is very good and the trail is moderate after an hour. In summary, it’s an attention-grabbing scent, something distinct with good performance, exactly what I look for in niche fragrances. 8/10.

Ole is one of the finest pineapple-based perfumes I’ve tried. It stands apart from others like Aventus, as its evolution is entirely different. It opens with a very natural, recognisable pineapple, blended with sweet notes such as dates. As it dries down, the florals (jasmine and orchid) take over, and the fragrance becomes more woody, with a base of musk, fir, and a delicate, long-lasting vanilla. I would define it as a pure fruity floral. On my skin, the longevity is acceptable, nothing bomb-like (6-9 hours), with a soft projection. It’s ideal for treating yourself or romantic dates. Its freshness makes it perfect for daily wear and any weather, very versatile and unisex. By the way, I tried a Monegal set with seven perfumes; Flamenco and Faista stood out, while Ole became almost imperceptible. It is one of the most discreet in the line, but in terms of longevity, it takes the crown alongside Flamenco. Scent: 8.5, Longevity: 8, Projection: 7, Value for money: 5, Versatility: 9, Originality: 7, Overall: 8

  • There’s not much to say about this fantastic fragrance. It opens with a pineapple sweetened by date and a barely perceptible touch of raspberry, so well-crafted that I could wear it all day with my nose pressed to my wrist. Gradually, over the course of hours, these notes relax to give way to a woody dry-down with that sweet vanilla base. It is a work of art in the tradition of Myrurgia, which Monegal now carries on. It is a fragrance I adore on a woman, but when my partner tried it, it suited him equally well. It is a true unisex and I recommend it for any collection without a doubt.

Ole is a standout among the pineapple perfumes I’ve tried. It diverges significantly from others like Aventus, boasting a completely distinct evolution. It opens with a very natural, recognisable pineapple, blended with sweet notes such as dates. As it dries down, the florals (jasmine and orchid) take control, and the fragrance becomes more woody, featuring a base of musk, fir, and a delicate, long-lasting vanilla. I would define it as a pure fruity floral. On my skin, the longevity is acceptable, nothing bomb-like (6-9 hours), with a soft projection. It’s ideal for treating yourself or romantic dates. It is one of the most discreet in the line, but in terms of longevity, it takes the crown alongside Flamenco. • I’d love to have this perfume; it suits me. When it arrives in Spain, I must visit this perfume shop.

  • I just received it, a Christmas gift. This perfume stands out from the others; the bottle and packaging are excellent, it lasts long on the skin, and you notice it wherever you go. In short, a perfume if you want to smell different and sexy at the same time. A 10/10.

  • I see that many highlight the pineapple, and indeed it opens with a ripe, juicy pineapple with raspberry hints, but on my skin, what dominates from the start are the dates. Good heavens, I feel as though I am eating very sweet, creamy dates; it is the first perfume to have such a realistic date note. After two hours, potent cedar wood appears, balancing the fragrance and making it very unisex; in my case, I don’t detect the fir, perhaps due to lack of familiarity. The jasmine adds a subtle floral touch alongside the orchid, but overall, I perceive it as more fruity and woody as time passes. In terms of longevity, it is a beast; it lasts me two full days; not even the best shower removes it after 48 hours. It has a brutal trail that you can smell from many metres away if there is a breeze. WARNING: do not spray it directly onto clothes, as the scent does not wash out after three washes and could interfere with other perfumes. Monegal quality, that is for sure.

  • I see many say the pineapple is what stands out most, and indeed it opens with a ripe, juicy pineapple with hints of raspberry, but on my skin, the date note dominates from the start. Goodness me, I feel as if I’m eating very sweet, creamy dates; it’s the first perfume with a date note that’s too realistic. After two hours, the potent cedar appears to balance it and make it very unisex; I don’t sense the fir, perhaps my nose isn’t familiar with it. The jasmine adds a subtle floral touch with the orchid, but overall I sense it as more fruity and woody over time. In terms of longevity, it’s a beast; it lasts two full days, and not even the best shower removes it in 48 hours. A brutal trail that people will smell from metres away with a little breeze. WARNING: do not spray it directly on clothes; it won’t wash out in the next three washes and can interfere with other perfumes. Monegal quality, that’s all.

  • I’m the only one, but what I notice most is the raspberry, like Haribo raspberry sweets that taste like themselves. In fact, every time I’ve tested it, it made me hungry and I bought sweets; it’s a gourmand in every sense. I wouldn’t wear it for that reason; I don’t want to catch diabetes, but if you like sweet, it’s spectacular and totally beast mode, highly recommended.

Finally managed to get a sample… It’s okay, it’s sweet and different. But on my skin, once it dries down, it becomes extremely sour with a green wood touch. I have to imagine the dates a lot; I sense them more in Khamra or Nomade Naturelle. I won’t buy it; it’s a good scent but doesn’t suit my taste, and I know I’d get tired of it eventually.

  • I simply love it. What stands out most to me is the combination of dates and orchids; it is my second favourite out of the four I own.

  • Pensandoenexceso

I liked it! I feel it has something distinct from the typical stuff; I see it more as a summer scent and very fruity.

I liked it! I feel it has something different from the typical. I perceive it as a summer fragrance, very fruity and with its own character.

Master Monegal, I surrender to his feet. ¡Olé! This scent deserves applause, and it’s clear it’s his work. I’ve tried ‘Siesta’ and you can feel this Spanish perfumer’s nose here. It’s one of the few raspberries I can tolerate. The phases are distinct; it evolves a lot, which fascinates me. It opens fruity (pineapple and raspberry), then the flowers emerge. On my skin, it’s a blend of fruits, green floral, balsamic, and mentholated notes. In two words: different and distinguished.

  • ValeriaChile

I adored its fruity, juicy, and sparkling opening, very cheerful and spring/summer-like. However, as it dries down, I detect a note that becomes unpleasant to my nose, coinciding with the same dry-down I find off-putting in Isla Blanca 2023. I believe they share the dates, and I think it is the balsam fir 😣

  • ValeriaChile

I love the juicy fruit notes at the start; it’s super cheerful and summery. However, it smells bad on me once it dries down, just like Isla Blanca 2023. I suspect it’s the balsam fir that’s failing, even though they share the date notes 🤔

  • Great work by RM. Opens very fruity and bright, somewhat feminine where pineapple and raspberry predominate, but a man can wear it without any problem. I expected a creamier perfume due to the vanilla, but it doesn’t leave a weird musk at the end (after 8 hours). Still, I give it an overall 7.5.

  • Candycandy40

I agree with the previous review. It opens very fruity and sparkling, but then turns unpleasant, at least on my skin. I think it is the pineapple-date combo that simply doesn’t suit me. Try it on your skin directly before buying, because the scent is very different between the blister and how it evolves on the skin. Unfortunately, it’s not for me.

  • Olé is probably one of the most famous fragrances from the brand. My experience is very special, as I perceive the pineapple and raspberry with a chocolatey tint and even at times like a fruit ice cream bathed in chocolate; it’s very evocative and delicious. Despite the sweetness, I perceive it as quite fresh and versatile. I think it can be worn all year round and is perfectly unisex. The quality of the ingredients is excellent, as it’s easy to fall into a synthetic accord with the fruity and musky notes, but here it’s appreciated as if this ‘ice cream’ were made from pulp and with great care. I love it, and if you like gourmand perfumes or the pineapple note, this is a must-try. Note: 9/10 Tested from the Discovery Set.

  • Olé by Ramon Monegal is a brilliant fruity-woody work that stands out for its distinctive character and outstanding quality. The declared notes are perceived as balanced and harmonious, creating a unique and captivating experience. I consider it quite versatile and attractive, perfect for various occasions. Its composition is a true total beauty that will surely resonate with those who enjoy fragrances that combine freshness and masterful depth.

Olé by Ramon Monegal is one of the richest and most extraordinary fragrances I have ever tried and own. From the very first moment I fell in love, a super sweet pineapple with subtle hints of raspberry and vanilla that give it that characteristic sweetness. For those seeking longevity, it lasts over 12 hours and projects like a beast during that time; an incredible fragrance. One of the most realistic and rich pineapple scents, an easy compliment magnet. It’s also very versatile, can be worn almost all year round due to that particular sweetness, but also in hot moments as it’s mainly fruity; perfect for night outs, summer or spring, being one of its best moments.

  • samucel87

Fruity opening with pineapple predominating, though with a sweetness that gives it a certain resemblance to mango. In the background, there’s a weight of woods that gives it body. It reminds me quite a bit of God of Fire, which isn’t far-fetched as they are from the same family: fruity-woody. It’s rich. Simply put, it adds nothing new.

  • Abdel - Perfumeros.com

A sweet fruity blend with a slightly synthetic air, where pineapple, dates and raspberry take turns in the spotlight. The pineapple is vibrant, the date denser, and the raspberry in the background. The white flowers barely manage to peek through amidst all the sweetness. When dried, it leaves an amber and vanilla base that feels recycled from other fragrances from the house. It has its moments, but it just doesn’t quite convince.

  • I’ve just tried it and I loved it a lot. It’s fresh and fruity, the pineapple smells sweet and suddenly also like mango. I own Flamenco (which I don’t adore but couldn’t part with), and compared to Olé, this one seems more enjoyable and wearable. As for trail and longevity, I suppose they’re equally beastly. Yes, I would buy it.

  • I don’t know what it is, but it just doesn’t suit my skin. Luckily I ordered a tester to check if it really is as lovely as they say… but on my skin it smells like a sharp, weird musk; it doesn’t disgust me, but it’s not what I expected.

  • Just like its brother Flamenco hooked me on the first spray, this Olé has given me a shock: it smells extremely masculine, but on top of that, it has that egg-like scent which is fatal. It resembles that annoying metallic note in Divine by J.P.G. It’s incredibly potent, so two sprays are more than enough; the green notes provide freshness, but that egg-like smell persists and is simply unbearable for me.
