Descripción
Osmanthus Eau de Parfum by Acqua di Parma is a floral fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2019, this composition features an olfactory pyramid designed by a master perfumer. The top notes unfold the freshness of neroli and green mandarin; the heart reveals the delicacy of peony, ambrette musk, and pink pepper; while the base notes anchor the essence with the elegance of osmanthus, also known as fragrant olive, and patchouli.

This fragrance felt luminous, pretty, citrusy and cheerful – perfect for wearing without a care. I loved it so much, though it doesn’t last long and needs reapplying, which I did without any fuss ♡♡♡. I showed it to some male friends, and they agreed it seemed more feminine than masculine… without anyone feeling offended, as it’s often said that perfume has no gender. Yet it’s marketed as unisex. Timeless and refreshing.
What a delightful surprise to be able to review this perfume. I bought it on offer at a good price, just wanting something nice, pretty and affordable for a gift. But the unexpected happened: I sprayed it on my arm and wow, I absolutely loved it. It has that citrus base found in all the brand’s colognes. It opens with an air reminiscent of Acqua di Parma Leather, then moves into spiced floral notes that transform into a blend of white flowers, citrus and pink pepper. Very pleasant and wearable for hot days or spring. It suits any occasion; it’s light, bright, sparkling, playful, youthful and full of good vibes. As for whether it’s more unisex or feminine, the truth is it’s very subjective; there are masculine fragrances from Amouage, Parfums de Marly or Nishane that are more feminine and we wear them without a second thought. Highly recommended. Scent 8.5/10, Sillage 7.5/10, Longevity 4.5/10, Projection 3.5/10.
AdP’s Osmanthus surprised me hugely; despite the floral notes, it feels unisex, revitalising and distinct from what the brand usually does. The scent blends the original ADN as a base with fresh, slightly sweet flowers and a perfectly noticeable osmanthus. The ambrette musk and spices add another layer, resulting in a fresh, lightly green, complex and original scent with little evolution but high quality. If I had to compare it, I’d say it’s like Cuir de Chine by Les Indemodables – also osmanthus-based and top quality – but this is more sparkling. For hot days, semi-formal events and, as I say, unisex to my nose, Osmanthus is a perfume you can’t miss if you can try it, as AdP has shown they can do something different beyond their colognes or the Blu Mediterraneo line. Note: 8/10.
Osmanthus by AdP has truly surprised me; despite its heavy floral notes, it feels unisex, revitalising and distinctly different from the brand’s usual output. The scent blends the original ADN as a base with slightly sweet fresh florals and a perfectly noticeable osmanthus. The ambrette musk and spices add another layer, resulting in a fresh, lightly green, complex and original fragrance with little evolution but high quality. If I had to compare it, I’d liken it to Cuir de Chine by Les Indemodables, which is also osmanthus-based and top-tier, though this one is more sparkling. For hot days and semi-formal events, and as I’ve said, unisex to my nose, Osmanthus is a perfume you shouldn’t miss if you can try it, as AdP has shown it can do things beyond its colognes or the Blu Mediterraneo line. Rating: 8/10.
What an interesting and well-crafted composition. I loved that it’s a superbly blended floral and I’m very grateful for that. Normally florals are made feminine; that is, most add things that mark them as for women. It’s rare to find one that’s ‘neutral’. This is clearly floral, but they’ve blended the notes so well that it’s not delicate; it’s more ‘wild’, rugged. Super unisex. Wow, I think I’ve never heard anything like this. This is a great example of niche perfumery: different, interesting, delicious, of good quality and quite unisex. If you smell it close up, the paper is intense, but it seems to have little sillage. It feels artisanal, reminiscent of a soap made with fresh herbs and quality flowers. I highly recommend you try it. Compositions like this are appreciated; this reminds me why I love perfumery. Along with The Matcha and The Noir from Le Labo, this has opened another door for me. It’s not a cosmetic, it’s a piece of art that can be worn.
Osmanthus is spring in a bottle, a fragrance that caught me completely by surprise. It opens with a very subtle citrus note that transforms into a well-crafted, pleasant floral. What I loved most is that it doesn’t smell like that typical feminine floral; it’s unisex, although I understand some might see it that way. Imagine standing in a field of elegant flowers with the spring sun above you. It’s sparkling, with a pepper base that gives you an instant energy boost. It has a light sweetness and fits spring perfectly. While women usually adore it, if you’re a fan of woody or purely masculine scents, it might not be for you. But do give it a try, because I haven’t heard anything like it. It wasn’t a blind buy, but after testing a decant, I already want the full bottle. My rating: Scent 10/10 – Exceptional and unique. Sillage 7/10 – Good projection, but doesn’t stand out. Longevity 6/10 – Could last longer.
