Starts interestingly with bergamot and heliotrope, floral but with a medium-heavy trail (if over-applied). Reminded me a bit of Tom Ford Noir EDP. At 2 hours, the bitter almond takes over and the florals fade. At 8 hours, sandalwood and vanilla; at 11 hours, amber vanilla, and so on until 12 hours. Of the Parfums de Marly samples, it was the most interesting due to rare notes like heliotrope and almond. The finish is good but not innovative. The floral part gives freshness for autumn rather than winter, a bit heavy for evening. With a generous dose, the trail was intense for a couple of hours, then moderate until 12 hours.

It disappoints me; I can’t smell it even though I apply a lot. Given the price and expert reviews, I expected more. I’ll try it again to see if I recommend buying it or not.

  • Some say it smells like sweat. Good heavens, I wish my sweat smelled like that. Then I wouldn’t buy another single perfume. The opening is a soft bergamot, nothing intrusive, gives a fresh sensation, but the bitter almond enters quickly, very subtle, and it sweetens. Middle phase with no development and ends with amber. It’s a scent I like, but longevity and trail leave much to be desired. With more strength and projection, it would be in my top 3.

  • A customer gifted this to me and I’m wearing it. I accepted it out of politeness, but the truth is it’s not a pleasant scent for me. It doesn’t suit my pH. I’ll be selling it soon. Don’t buy it blindly and certainly don’t gift it.

  • Dominated by almond and vanilla. At first, it seems citrus-woody (bergamot and sandalwood), lasts a few seconds, then turns into something linear with a background of almond and vanilla. Moderate trail, lasted 6 hours in the air and another 6 on the skin. The best part was that initial citrus-woody opening, but the second stage is also good. It reminds me of a Yves Rocher splash from the 90s, square bottle with seeds, slightly ambered, with lots of almond; it lasted 12 hours and projected four times more than this. Suitable for almost any weather (except extreme heat), versatile for countryside or formal events, ideal from age 25. Try before you buy: average longevity, weak trail, good scent but not distinctive or opulent. At $130, there are better options.

Theoretically it’s for men, but they don’t even try making it unisex (and being a niche fragrance, it should be). I wear it and love it. The citrus opening is brilliant, it clings to the skin, and the floral heart is perfect: neither heavy nor cloying.

I bought 8ml of this fragrance and what can I say??? It’s Armaf Craze, say what you want. The sample smelled amazing: almond, vanilla, lavender cleanliness, I love it. But I feel I must say it’s the same as Craze: sweet, clean, and lasts the same. Perhaps this one stays closer to the skin longer and Armaf disappears. I’m sorry if I’ve been heavy-handed with the comparison, but I had to mention it.

  • At first, I couldn’t see the birds. Perhaps the slightly confusing and strong opening didn’t captivate me, but over time one grows fond of the scent, which is bright and clean. It has very good performance, trail, and longevity. At the start, you notice the almond and vanilla a lot; the almond isn’t soft, it’s powerful, balanced by the vanilla, jasmine, and in the base the lavender. That’s what you notice at the beginning and in the first stage. After a few hours, the scent becomes sweeter and more linear, but it always leaves you smelling good, distinguished and jovial. Recommended for all ages from 25, it will never let you down. It’s a woman’s choice due to the white floral touch that makes it attractive, but not mysterious. My final note: 8/10.

  • Not worth it. If you like this type of scent, you have Armaf Craze, which is more long-lasting and cheaper.

I’d read many good reviews and decided to buy it blind. From the first spray, it feels high-end and of great quality; the nose receives a mix of vanilla and almonds, slightly spiced, typical of an oriental. The opening may seem unisex, leaning feminine, but in the dry down is the magic: it doesn’t lose the vanilla sweetness, it becomes more masculine, and although it’s sweet, it’s so well balanced that it’s not offensive if over-applied. On my skin it lasts a long time and projects well. I recommend it for evening wear and for young people over 18.

  • Yes, it resembles Armaf Craze and Hypnotic Poison, but unfortunately on my skin it has little intensity and longevity, so for value for money I’d stick with the Armaf. The Dior one is mid-range in price between the two, but its value for money is poor. It wins only because I’m a woman and it has a slight creamier, sweeter touch that makes me like it a bit more.

  • No vanilla, no nut, no almond, no heliotrope. It’s just another men’s perfume, smelling like Axe deodorant, lavender, amber, and a bit of cumin. Total disappointment, plus the longevity is terrible: 30 minutes on skin and 2 hours on clothes.

  • At 25, it’s perhaps one of the best and most balanced I’ve used, definitely my signature. I’d recommend no more than 3 sprays in summer. The quality is incredible, and maybe I’m so delighted because it was my bridge from designer to niche, but it’s certainly an excellent purchase. The opening is wonderful, like almost all, but what satisfied me is that Pegasus accompanied me cooking, having lunch, drinking tea, and even sleeping (at skin level). It has beastly longevity. 100% satisfied with this Marly marvel.

  • @elcholo was trying to guess where you got the bottle, because saying it doesn’t last or that you can’t smell any almonds is strange. It’s bitter almonds wrapped in creamy sandalwood, with a hint of cumin and sweet vanilla, from start to finish. The dry down lasts much longer than the 2 hours on clothes or 30 minutes on skin you mentioned; it’s easily noticeable at 8 hours and the projection is strong for the first hour and a half. People talk a lot about Layton and Herod, but Pegasus has a lot to say. I haven’t tried Armaf Craze or Vibrant Leather Platinum, but I have worn Hypnotic Poison, one of my favourite ‘feminine’ scents. They share that bitter almond and vanilla tone, a very addictive and attractive smell. I have few Marly perfumes left to try, and they all have something: they aren’t groundbreaking, but they are made to please, which makes them perfect.

  • Unisex and versatile scent with moderate performance. Combines sweet vanilla, creamy and bitter almonds, and aromatic lavender. I feel the notes are separated and there is no harmony; that sweet-bitter contrast strikes me. If it were more gourmand, it would be better. Anyway, it smells rich and can be worn anywhere. I stick with the Exclusif which has better balance.

  • I finished the sample and, although it didn’t excite me, it is interesting. It has two facets: the bitter green almond, very striking, and the sweet vanilla. At first they are separate, but as it develops they blend to create the ‘Pegasus’ accord, where the roughness of the almond continues to dominate. It seems androgynous; I don’t see myself wearing it. Of the Marly line, it is the one I like least, though I love the bottle. EDIT: I read it has been reformulated, but my sample holds up quite well. Be careful with the sprays; use one or two if you are timid, or you will overdo it. If you want decent performance with few sprays, look to Montale.

Pegasus PDM is beautiful and the longevity is a beast: 48 hours on my skin. I never imagined it would last so long. Scent: 9/10, Longevity: 20/10, Projection: 8/10. The quality of PDM is incredible.

  • jerry7474

Pegasus PDM represents freedom and beauty, like the white horse of mythology. It is neither too fresh nor too sweet, a perfect balance between white light and exquisite sweetness. If clouds had a scent, this would be it: celestial, without malice, pure goodness. Outstanding, soft, and subtle. Perfect for any gender. Performance is good, versatile for any season. Scent: 9.0, Projection: 2h, Longevity: 8h. Recommended.

  • jerry7474

Pegasus PDM: As the name and bottle suggest, it is freedom, beauty, and transparency. Imagine the white horse of Perseus soaring through the skies; this scent is that. Smelling it is like travelling to a magical place that envelops you. It’s neither too fresh nor too sweet, but a balance between white light and a soft, exquisite sweetness. If clouds had a scent, this would be it: a celestial aroma, without malice or darkness, expressing the good and clarity. It’s a masterpiece, soft, subtle, and beautiful. In one word: ‘Brilliant’ or ‘Luminous’. It’s unisex, versatile, and suitable for any season. Scent: 9.0. Projection: 2h. Longevity: 8h. Recommended.

  • What can I say about this fragrance bomb? Pegasus is strange, perhaps not everyone will like it, but it smells spectacular. When people ask me what it smells like, I don’t know how to explain it; it’s sweet but fresh. How? It smells like sweet, creamy vanilla, delicate, but with a metallic and cold base. It’s like spreading vanilla and almond cream on a sword xD. I fell in love with it from the first sniff; although it’s expensive, I managed to get a small bottle. It’s now my signature scent; that’s what I want to smell like. Performance is acceptable, it’s not a bomb and doesn’t have a great trail, but it lasts long enough for a day with energy. It’s one of those perfumes that seem invisible but are there, arriving with little breezes with every movement. If you want to try it without spending a fortune, I recommend the Maison Alhambra ‘Perseus’ Arabic alternative, which I also have. It’s very well made, a bit stronger and synthetic, but it’s 98% similar and costs less than 1/5 of the French one…

  • Pegasus is unusual and won’t suit everyone, but it smells spectacular. I always wonder how to describe it: it is sweet yet fresh, like creamy vanilla with a cold metallic hint. It’s like spreading almond cream on a sword. I fell in love at first sight; it’s my signature now. Performance is acceptable, not a beast but lasts for a lovely day. It seems invisible yet there, arriving with small breezes. If you don’t want to spend a fortune, try the Maison Alhambra ‘Perseus’ alternative, it is 98% similar and costs less than a fifth of the price.

  • antdreamer444

I bought a decant out of curiosity; although I have basic tastes, the scent is very unique. I wouldn’t wear it with a suit as it is too elegant, but the essence and dry-down are top.

  • If you can’t afford it, buy a dupe, but I admit this one is superior. If you can manage it, go for it.

  • OdiseoBcn

Elegant and classic, blending almonds, vanilla, and woods for a luxurious, mature touch. Projection and longevity are good, though it is a niche price. Try it before buying.

  • emilio_24

It’s not gourmand; the vanilla is barely noticeable. It smells of bitter almond with a metallic base and touches of sandalwood. In my mind, it’s the colour of the bottle but with lots of bitter almond. It’s also a little powdery. For me, it’s overrated; it’s not a fragrance to enjoy. It’s very masculine and elegant. Good performance but nothing crazy. It’s not bad… but I wouldn’t buy it; the 10ml decant lasted me a long time and that’s a sign I wouldn’t purchase the full bottle.

  • Of all the Marlys, this is the one I liked the least. It’s not bad, but it feels very feminine to me.

  • At first, smelling the bottle I expected nothing, but once applied to the skin it was a delight. It has a perfect balance between the bergamot and the sweet notes of the base. It smells expensive, elegant, sexy, warm and sweet. It is totally worth it.

  • beto_ruiz

The Marly Pegasus is oriental and spiced, warm and sweet with vanilla, almond and a powdery floral touch. Its evolution is linear; it smells the same at the beginning as at the end, with body and intensity. Ideal for autumn and winter, day or night, or for formal events and parties. Longevity is superior to 10 hours on me, with a powerful trail for the first two hours and then regular. The aroma is attractive; the spices, almond and vanilla dominate, and its sweetness makes it unisex. High price as is normal in niche, but with good performance.

  • I don’t know why this site doesn’t allow comparing perfumes from specific brands. To me, this smells a lot like Emper’s Stallion 53 and Santal 33 when dry, but when I try to add them, it blocks me. As for the scent… it deserves a chance because at first it is very strident, then it becomes acceptable. It starts citrusy and sweet, then turns fresh and spiced. For me, it’s cloying; I don’t use it much, it’s better for cold weather. Longevity is average but the trail is brutal. A while ago I compared Pegasus and Galatea from Maison Alhambra and almost no one noticed a difference; for me, they are the same, but this performs much better. Don’t buy without trying! 🕉️🕉️🕉️

  • It opens majestically with heliotrope and dries down to a milky almond finish. Try it before buying because if the flowers rot on your skin, it becomes unpleasant. It is the great forgotten gem of the Marly house.

  • peterMartinez

I have a soft spot for this perfume; it was the fourth to join my collection and it surprised me immensely. The almond note is very prominent, with a spiced and warm touch. It would work during the day in open spaces, but its true stage is night, and cool weather suits it much better than cold. It’s not a toy perfume; it’s a little more serious, yet it’s scandalous because its trail is incredible; the scent sticks easily to anyone who touches you. That vanilla, spices, lavender and above all that rich, starring almond make it perfect for me. It’s the undervalued gem of Marly. I recommend trying it first because it’s a super unique scent; no one has been able to replicate that DNA and I appreciate that. It has helped me stand out at formal and semi-formal events. Highly recommended.

  • This perfume is an enigma. Its opening and base are very different, perhaps that is what makes this scent so particular. Although some say it has a feminine touch, it doesn’t; it is a sumptuously modern and unique masculine perfume where style and irreverent personality blend together.

  • It opens sweet with that typical creamy almond and an elegant vanilla base. It doesn’t smell synthetic or cheap; you can tell the materials are high quality. However, I didn’t find it particularly interesting or different; it’s a fairly linear sweet scent that doesn’t evolve much over time. The projection was good for the first hour, but the sillage dropped progressively until it sat close to the skin after 4-5 hours. The longevity is decent, but nothing outstanding for the price. It’s not a bad perfume; it’s neat, elegant and easy to wear, but it didn’t generate any excitement or desire to own a full bottle in my case. Nor do I see it as revolutionary for the brand. In short: a correct and pleasant fragrance, but in my opinion it doesn’t connect enough to justify the over 200€ for the bottle. Final rating: 3.7/5
