Dulce de leche! With a citrus opening from the clementine, alongside the whipped cream; this gives way to a soft, sweet fragrance losing the citrus side, with the nectarine appearing fleetingly joining the dulce de leche with a bitter coffee note that softens over time, making the dulce de leche the protagonist alongside the whipped cream, plus a touch of soft floral. I think it’s the orange blossom from the naranjo, the same as its ‘successor’ Private Show VIP, making it its DNA but being totally different. It’s sweet, sensual, soft and very feminine. Simple yet elegant and versatile; I find no fruity or powdery notes, nor an exact age range, I define it as multifaceted. Ideal from spring to winter. I’m surprised that being an EDP its sillage isn’t overwhelming, rather intimate. Moderate longevity. Very comfortable and excellent for daily wear. Beautiful presentation, a bottle aspiring to be a precious stone, a cheerful and youthful essence. Personally, one of Britney Spears’ best fragrances.
After 6 months with this perfume, here is my experience: I expected it to be powerful and overwhelming given my experiences with other BS perfumes, but it wasn’t. At first it lasted about 3 hours on skin with barely perceptible sillage. Upon spraying, I sense a strong aroma of liqueur coffee with a citrus hint; after 5 minutes the dulce de leche appears, which will be predominant, accompanied by nectarine and orange tree orange blossom giving it a pretty floral touch. The coffee is still felt, though with less intensity. It finishes with coffee and dulce de leche together, adding an amber, woody and citrusy touch. I used it again this autumn and must say it has improved greatly; it lasted 7 hours on skin with medium sillage (high with over-application), which fascinated me. I also noticed the liquid slightly darker than when I bought it. It will probably become one of my favourites for this cold weather and I might repurchase it.
For me, a sweet lover, it’s fantastic. It smells sweet and creamy, though it can become cloying if overused. On me, it has excellent longevity and great sillage (I’m a teacher and always receive compliments from the children all day long xD). I don’t see it for summer, but yes for the rest of the year. Also, it’s not expensive, which I love!
It’s simply delicious. That creamy caramel scent is addictive, with a very light coffee note that reminds me a lovely day begins with smells like this. It has good longevity but in a very discreet way.
One of the best blind buys. I only went by the notes and thought it might be cloying, but it’s not at all. It’s a soft, rich, creamy sweetness; you can really taste the whipped cream, the coffee, and the dulce de leche stand out. I loved it. It doesn’t have great longevity or sillage, but it is comforting. I recommend it to gourmand lovers.
A very sweet perfume, yet more intimate than Fantasy. For me, I detect a strong dulce de leche and vanilla; it lasts all day. I adore the dry-down, an inexplicable sweetness that I love and feels entirely natural. I think it’s better suited to colder days.
It is extremely, extremely sweet. I tried it a couple of times but it was too much for me; I felt sick because this gourmand doesn’t suit my palate. I’ve sold it.
What it smells most like is whipped cream with a touch of coffee. I like it because it’s soapy, which prevents it from being as heavy as other excessively sweet gourmands. The bottle doesn’t inspire anything regarding the scent. Given the price, it’s worth having.
I love it. The coffee note balances it perfectly, making it a delicious gourmand. I’m on my second bottle and would buy it again. 10/10.
I’ve always been a Curious; I remember that when Fantasy first launched, it seemed well-made but too sweet for my taste at the time, as I preferred florals. Over the years, thanks to my reconciliation with Angel by Mugler, I began to understand the gourmand genre. Private Show didn’t go unnoticed by me. I believe it works much like Angel Muse did with its original: there’s plenty of Fantasy here, but with a more mature and intimate tone, a creative twist that expresses an adult woman. The maturation is clear. I know many are repelled by notes like dulce de leche or almond with chocolate; I remained neutral but rejected anything cloying, finally enjoying reformulated versions that are less intense. The great success of Private Show is that balance in softening the coffee with cream and a present milky aura. There’s a fruity sweetness in the background that gives body to the musk and amber. The jasmine and clementine are noticeable at the end, when the other notes cede the spotlight. It should be called Private Fantasy; I love it, with correct longevity and trail, nothing aggressive.
I love the sweetness, and this perfume is sweet. I detect the dulce de leche with the whipped cream; it’s so perfect, I absolutely adore it.
The first note is ALCOHOL. What a pity, but that’s the only thing I notice for the first few minutes. If I press my nose against it or touch it with my lips, I’m in trouble. For some reason, on my skin, the fruity and floral notes come through, with nothing sweet 🤷. Over time, it seems to soften and gives way to the gourmand, but alas, like all perfumes with similar base notes. I like it, though I don’t think it’s worth the price.
I was gifted this perfume blind and it made my stomach turn at first, so I gave it away without giving it a chance. That was my mistake. It’s an easy, sweet, creamy, and feminine fragrance, but I was expecting more coffee, something more defined. Instead, I sensed more vanilla and vanilla, which I found disappointing. Moreover, the whipped cream note reminded me of blue Lubriderm lotion. It was truly a disaster; I don’t know why it went so wrong. Perhaps I’d give it another try as it’s not a bad perfume, I think it just didn’t suit me. Now it’s clear: I didn’t love it.
I quite like it, although I expected more coffee. On my skin, it’s barely noticeable; it smells like dulce de leche and whipped cream, which is lovely, but I miss the coffee. The longevity is acceptable (around six hours on skin, longer on clothes); I couldn’t tell about the sillage as I couldn’t smell anything with my mask on.
I used it until the bottle ran out, but I wouldn’t buy it again. At first, it smells of alcohol, then shifts to sweet, but it doesn’t last long… It’s best for school or a quick trip to the supermarket, for very casual occasions.
For gourmand lovers it’s a delight, but in my opinion it’s not well executed. I would have liked to smell the coffee, but it’s nowhere to be found. At first, it smells like all the top notes (and has no alcohol scent), like peaches in syrup with dulce de leche. After a few hours, only the dulce de leche remains, and in abundance. Is it cloying? For me, yes, it’s as if I had dulce de leche stains on my clothes and had to smell them all day. What a pity other notes aren’t perceived. It doesn’t resemble Black Opium. I’ve read that Private Show is the same as Britney’s Prerogative; if I had to choose, I’d go for Prerogative, although I haven’t smelled it, I know it has coffee and sandalwood which would make it more intense. This one only smells of dulce de leche, but it has good sillage and longevity.
One of the best in the line. It’s sweet without being cloying, one of the most elegant gourmands it has.
I have it to swap in Valencia. It comes with the large bottle, box, and everything, and I’ve only used it twice.
I was really looking forward to it, but upon smelling it I was left feeling this way 😐. It’s soft, maybe because I wear stronger perfumes. It smells nice but is a sweet and very simple scent, nothing extraordinary. It would be perfect for a schoolgirl. The caramel, cream, and mandarin stand out, with a touch of coffee at the bottom. Later, the musk and white flowers appear.
What a lovely perfume! I bought this at the same time as Jessica Simpson’s Fancy and Good Girl by Carolina Herrera, and I must tell you the truth… this is the winner for me. It’s the ideal blend of sweet gourmand and white florals, with a dry-down of musk and amber that is simply stunning. Not only that, but on my skin, the scent lasts over 10 hours. It’s madness. I’d read and heard so many negative reviews regarding its longevity, yet on my wrists, this perfume kept projecting scent no matter how much I sniffed it. I woke up the next day and my clothes and skin still smelled of dulce de leche and jasmine. A dream, truly. I don’t know why people dislike it so much (perhaps different versions? discounted perfumes?) but mine came out very well and I’m delighted. The only downside is that the opening of Private Show is quite alcoholic and a bit synthetic. The good news is it fades quickly, and soon you’re hit with the potent scent of dulce de leche and whipped cream. I don’t detect much coffee; perhaps it balances the sweetness of the dulce de leche, but it doesn’t stand out as a distinct note. The heart notes are beautifully combined, projecting a very lactonic, luminous, and clean aroma, much like the bottle itself. A clear gem. My mum told me I smelled like someone fresh out of the bath. Having used Fantasy in my adolescence (a bomb of cupcakes and kiwis), this feels like a much more mature and elegant perfume, yet still sweet and delicious. It’s creamy, clean, and floral. I must say I love it, and if you can find an original, sealed bottle, you won’t regret it. Edit: It bears no resemblance to Black Opium.
It was a blind buy, and upon leaving I noticed a hint of coffee. It’s a super wearable, creamy, delicious gourmand, but it lacked intensity; perhaps I’m used to sweets that last all day. In the end, it’s very soft.
Coffee with condensed milk, homemade whipped cream, and vanilla sticks for decoration, just like that. On my skin, it lasts 10-12 hours with strong projection, and on clothes, it lasts days. Is it synthetic? Yes, a little, but it’s still absolutely delicious. It’s an affordable gem that is well worth owning. If you like sweet coffee-and-milk scents, this is a treat!
The real deal; I was lucky enough to get hold of it and it’s a delightful mix of whipped cream and dulce de leche. While I don’t particularly like or identify with its signature scent, fragrances from years ago are a weakness of mine. It has good longevity and sillage, enveloping you in its delicious, indulgent aroma.
What a delicious thing! It’s undeniably feminine; I loved it. At first, before even spraying it, the bottle reminded me of Eve Confidence by Avon, and yes, they do share similarities, plus the whipped cream (they both share cream, jasmine, and vanilla). However, I gifted away the former; I think I’ll keep this one and enjoy it. It has a very subtle undercurrent of fruity shampoo; apparently, that’s Britney’s signature, very clear in Midnight Fantasy (though extremely faint here), which, for me, makes it sexy. Over this base lies a sparkling ambered jasmine that gets emulsified by the whipped cream, coffee, and vanilla notes. On top of that, crowning the fragrance, I sense the treat, but only in small quantities when it’s cold, and the jasmine comes forward more when it’s warm. I’d add that I’m quite detail-oriented, but sometimes I detect a note that reminds me of lipstick and drives me crazy; I believe if that note were more prominent, it would be an even more famous perfume. I wish it were creamier, sweeter on the gourmand side (which is currently overshadowed by the jasmine); that would make the perfume spectacular, but honestly, I’m happy. I didn’t expect this fragrance at its price point—I didn’t see it coming! 😂 I heard someone say it’s like walking into Starbucks; when I heard that, I thought it would just smell of coffee, but I’d say it smells more like Starbucks when they’re baking something with a treat. It’s as if I’m walking in fresh from a shower with a very fragrant armful of jasmine flowers, wearing a creamy lipstick (plus the amber). That’s exactly what I smell. I’ve worn it on a cool summer night, and it suits perfectly. It also reminded me ((a little)) of Cloud; it gets close due to the whipped cream-vanilla note ((that delicious type of whipped cream note—I don’t know if you experience it as I do, different from the whipped cream note in other perfumes)). In fact, I layer them, but in this case, it’s not unisex at all; it differs quite a bit due to the amber and jasmine it possesses. (I’d take out the amber 😆, I don’t like that note). The jasmine predominates but constantly battles the other notes; the colder it gets, the more the treat stands out. Literally, a treat (a treat in cool, breezy weather), in which you get lost and sometimes find it and chase it; I love finding it in my hair. (More would be too much for my nose, perhaps; in a closed environment, the amber tires me out a bit). When I tried Fantasy, I liked it, but the scent felt very “cheap” and common, synthetic; this one is synthetic too, but it feels better, aiming to be a more sophisticated fragrance as Sputnikan noted below in his super mega accurate comment. It ends up being one of my favourites, and I can’t find anything similar to what I love most about this fragrance, but there’s a detail in it: that touch like lipstick but creamy, plastic, not iris-like, something that also has the vibe of rice powder without being powdery, but that specific waxy something I can perceive so meticulously isn’t found in anything else, especially since this perfume isn’t easily available in my area.
Projects youth, youth in all its glory. It’s warm, slightly nocturnal, and very addictive.
Beautiful perfume! It smells like coffee with milk ☕ with a touch of vanilla 😋, delicious. Very much in the style of The Only One by D&G; it is quite sweet, gourmand. If you like sweet gourmand scents, you will adore this. Longevity: eight hours, sillage: moderate, it is more intimate. As it is a celebrity fragrance, one expects more, but it is very good! I recommend it to teenagers who like sweet, youthful gourmand scents 😁😁.
I’m writing again because, the more perfumes I know, the more rescuable this one seems to me; it is gorgeous! I would love to find a similar one but with better quality or more sophistication, for instance, one where instead of amber there was cashmere; that would be fabulous, more avant-garde. I haven’t found this formula that makes me think of lipstick and all the femininity in it that no other does; I just ask that when my bottle runs out, they still manufacture it and bring it to my country, where it is already becoming scarce. Its sweetness reminds me very much of Juicy Couture Gold Couture; if you have one of the two, the other is superfluous.
Dulce de leche, chantilly and a hint of talcum powder (in this aspect, it reminds me of an Avon vintage scent I can’t quite recall). I don’t detect the coffee. I like it, but I don’t see it as sexy; rather, it feels tender, almost teenage. It’s not cloying. The opening is alcoholic; you can tell it’s on (without having to press your nose against it) for about five hours.
I own the body spray of this version and it is delicious. It smells creamy and sweet, like a little bombón coffee. I use it straight after a shower and I love the scent; in perfume form, it would be brilliant. As a body spray, the longevity is about two hours, which is very good, although it isn’t my favourite among all of Britney’s fragrances.
It bears a striking resemblance to Hugo Boss Private Accord, except here the cocoa is swapped for dulce de leche. What a fierce rivalry; it really competes with his combos! I’m not sure who takes the victory.
It’s like a rich, rich frappe, a fun and very sweet perfume. That said, I love Britney perfumes.
Delicious Private Show is a beautiful gourmand mix. For me, it’s difficult to distinguish each note, but the aroma is delicious, pleasant, subtly warm, and not invasive. Compared to previous launches from the brand, this fragrance marks a more mature stage, as it doesn’t reach the levels of sweetness of the Fantasy line. Perfect for all day, the office, at home, or outings with friends, mostly daytime activities. Absolutely recommended.
The scent is pleasant and sweet, but I expected more based on the listed notes. On my skin, it disappears after a short while. It’s very soft.
Of all my collection, it’s the favourite. Perhaps I’m biased because it was the first gift from my husband (he loves coffee), so my opinion isn’t entirely objective. Its aroma of coffee with milk and sugar for rainy days is exquisite. I’ve already recommended it six times. In my country, it’s hard to find, so I cherish the one-fifth of a bottle I have left. If I could find it in 200ml, I’d be very happy. Longevity: 5 to 6 hours, trail: 3 to 4 hours (it lingers close to the skin for longer). Scent: 10/10, projection: 7/10. Obviously, I’d buy it again.
It’s sweet but I don’t detect the coffee, dulce de leche, or whipped cream. I only perceive a fruity sweetness, mainly nectarine. It’s nothing special, very soft, and has a terrible longevity.
It’s sweet and warm, with a gourmand touch. What I detect most is nectarine and something milky; the coffee is super subtle and doesn’t stand out. I expected more; it feels like a celebrity perfume that’s rich but lacks its own signature. It’s versatile for all seasons, but on my skin, the trail is low and lasts five hours (very close to the skin). You can buy it blind as no one will dislike it, but I’m not sure if I’d spend my money on it.
Notes of cream, dulce de leche, and clementines. It can be too invasive as it’s very sweet, so it needs to be used with care. It’s good value for the price and lasts over eight hours on the skin.
Beautiful dulce de leche scent, but honestly, it doesn’t last at all and has no projection.
Without a doubt, it’s my favourite of all I’ve tried. The note that dominates is dulce de leche, and it’s a delicious perfume.
To me, it’s a relaxed scent, perfect for staying cosy at home. Honestly, the aroma feels a bit weak; on my skin, it lasted about two hours before fading to almost nothing. I’d recommend it for informal gatherings, the cinema, or casual outings. As it doesn’t last long and isn’t overpowering, it sits very close to the skin. It’s better than a body mist, but if you’re looking to invest in something with coffee and dairy notes, there are much better options on the market. I’d give it a 7/10.
