Prerogative by Britney Spears

If they declare it coffee, it’s not Black Opium. Prerogative smells like very soft, sweet coffee. I can’t find the other accords they mention. It lasts about two hours on my skin and then disappears. It’s cheap, but at that price, I wouldn’t buy it again. I own Black Opium and, in my opinion, they have nothing in common except coffee.

This Britney perfume is weak. They say it’s a clone of Black Opium because of the coffee, but not even close! It doesn’t reach the ankles. Prerogative is fruity and sweet; the coffee doesn’t stand out much. It’s synthetic but improves as it dries down. The worst part is the batch is from 2023, perhaps reformulated, with little potency. It lasts 2 hours, then becomes very personal and skin-scented. Unisex? I’d say sweet unisex. It resembles Private Show, but the latter smells better, projects more, and lasts longer.

Here you can feel the ‘ground’ coffee, not the beans. You can detect the saffron, so you must like that note. Coffee and saffran dominate with a sweet touch. It smells like a cup of dark coffee with sugar and a hint of spice. It’s a dark perfume, suitable for cold or rainy days. It’s perfectly unisex, just a bit sweet.

I didn’t expect to fall in love with it; I bought it blind because they said it was a bit like YSL’s Black Opium, and yes, a little bit. But it’s less sweet and more wearable in these cold times, as I don’t tolerate intense sweetness. It has a special aroma. On my skin, it’s spicy with fruit; the coffee is hardly noticeable, but it smells delicious. It lasts between 4 and 5 hours and, for once, leaves a trail. I’ve tried Midnight Fantasy and that one never leaves a trail, although I love it. I also tried the classic Fantasy, but I can’t stand it even in the cold, so I’m trying other releases from her, my favourite singer, to see which one makes contact. I recommend it to those who like sweet scents, men and women, even though they say it’s feminine, hehe c:

It’s an excellent perfume; the pity is that it lacks great intensity. On me it has some longevity, but it stays very soft. The opening is fruity and boozy with a touch of spice, then I perceive the coffee with a floral touch to settle into an amber and sweet dry down. I do find it similar to Black Opium, but less intense. If you don’t mind reapplying, go ahead; it’s economical and smells phenomenal.

Oh dear, I didn’t find it quite the same as Private Show 😬. It has that Black Opium vibe in the top notes, but honestly, not much beyond that. It does smell of coffee, but I’m not so sure it resembles it enough… At first, it didn’t convince me; the opening is super alcoholic and took some getting used to, but once it dried down, that’s when I decided to keep it. Compared to Black Opium, this feels more feminine; I’ve never been drawn to the original as I find it a bit too boxy, whereas this isn’t. It’s super feminine, nocturnal, like the sister of Private Show but more striking, perfect for parties. I’ll save it just for those occasions. I’m not sure if anyone has tried Black Opium Neón, but it has that same vibe—cheerful and striking (they don’t share the same scent, but it’s a good reference). P.S.: I wore it in summer heat today and it felt absolutely delicious. The longevity and trail are fantastic. 3B, I detect a delicious vanilla even though it’s not advertised. I hate the bottle, oh my goodness! I just got Poison Girl and they are almost identical!

It’s a gourmand fragrance, softly sweet, with coffee notes. It resembles Black Opium a little; it’s less intense and less sweet than Private Show, but very similar to the latter.

I was gifted it yesterday, and today upon opening it, as usual, Britney never disappoints me, and this is no exception. Sweet and intoxicating, love at first sniff 😍😍😍. It’s supposed to open with fruity notes, but no, at least on my skin; what I feel most is COFFEE, strong and sweet. I also detect a lactonic and vanilla note, something caramelised, what a surprise to check here and discover it contains neither vanilla, milk, cream, nor anything similar. Intoxikatingly sweet, overwhelming, potent, confident, and above all, BEAUTIFUL. I love it, very similar to Black Opium or its flanker Nuit Blanche. I will definitely repurchase it a thousand times more 💖💖💖

I just bought it, I’m a man, and I loved it. Truly, when freshly applied, it feels very sweet, but afterwards on my pH, at least, it becomes more spiced and woody. The coffee and blackcurrant notes give it a very flirty and playful touch. The wood and pepper notes become present alongside the goji berries which take some prominence. The blackcurrant creates a good start for the fragrance; I love it and I would buy it again…

OMG… undeniable inspiration from Black Opium. It’s sweet, dark, woody, vanilla, chocolatey (though it has no chocolate), a delight to the nose. I tested it on my boyfriend to check if it’s unisex, but I think it works better on me. It’s a beauty!!! I love it. The longevity and trail are at celebrity level… it cannot be compared to the projection of YSL. Absolutely recommended…

Hello everyone! It’s a unisex fragrance; only if the gentleman is bold and doesn’t mind demonstrating his subtlety and sweetness. It’s a perfume that in its opening manages to mark territory in a very sweet and fruity way, but after a few minutes it transforms into a more personal fragrance, settling on the skin without being abrasive. It’s seductive, its nectar, but its dry-down is perfect for sweating out some passions with your partner or your multiple players; it doesn’t give up so easily. I use it every day, especially before my dance rehearsals; it’s an adventurous and stimulating perfume for personal and playful use. Even more so if you want something more playful, citrusy, less sweet, and above all fresher for your daily life and you’re a fan of Britney, use the Rave version. What I like is its good price, and it’s like a way to remember how much I’m in love with Britney and use it casually every day and carry it in your bag.

Delicious, it’s like the younger sister of Black Opium; less potent but you can feel the coffee and a sweetness that doesn’t cloy. Both are wonderful. As for whether it’s unisex or not, honestly, for me perfumes have no gender and everyone uses what they like and makes them happy. Without a doubt, I would buy it again. Another hit from Britney.

Clearly, this is a women’s fragrance. I bought it with low expectations, but I kept using it until it ran out. People asked me several times what I was wearing. The trail is moderate and lasts quite a while. I recommend it; the price is unbeatable.

As others say, it doesn’t add anything new to the perfume world; it’s simply sweet, pleasant, easy to wear, and economical for everyday use. I tried it yesterday and liked it a lot; the best thing is that it lasted quite a while on my skin. I agree with the previous reviewer: it seems like a blend of Private Show and classic Fantasy (70% and 30% according to my perception). Curiously, without reading that, I thought the same when I smelled it. For me, what stands out most is the coffee with a fruity touch, either blackcurrant or apricot, and a hint of saffron, all wrapped in something very sweet and chocolatey. I find it unisex and I believe perfumes have no age; use what you like. The only drawback is that if you already own Private Show, it smells very similar, but if not, it’s a great option, especially if you like Fantasy, as you get the best of both. Regarding the scent, I think it suits any season, but it stands out more on fresh mornings and afternoons, autumn or winter. I loved the black and pink bottle, and it suits the fragrance perfectly.
