Incredible similarity to YSL’s Black Opium: sweet opening, white florals, sandalwood, and exquisite vanilla. Now its sillage and projection are good. For the price, it’s an excellent choice.
Reminds me very much of YSL’s Black Opium: a sweet opening with white florals, sandalwood, and exquisite vanilla. Now, its trail and projection are phenomenal. Given the price, it’s a top choice. Scent: 6.5, Longevity: 6.2, Sillage: 6.0, Bottle: 6.3. Total: 6.3.
A lighter version of YSL’s Black Opium, without coffee and very fruity. Good projection and lasts 6-8 hours on skin. The bottle is gorgeous and the price unbeatable in chemists. I’ll keep buying it as long as La Rive produces it. Scent 8/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 10/10. Would I buy again? Yes.
It’s a lighter version of YSL’s Black Opium, without that coffee note and very fruity. It has good projection and lasts about 6-8 hours on the skin. The bottle is gorgeous and the price is unbeatable (€5.95 at DM drugstores in Germany). I’ll keep repurchasing it as long as La Rive continues to make it. Scent 8/10, Longevity 8/10, Sillage 7/10, Value for money 10/10, Versatility 9/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy again? Yes.
I bought it on eBay from Argentina and it took two months to arrive. I loved the scent; I chose it based on the reviews, but on my difficult skin, it didn’t last even an hour. Nevertheless, the fragrance was exquisite: vanilla, sweetness, and white flowers. Perhaps I bought a copy from an Israeli seller.
I don’t think it’s a dupe of BO; maybe it’s 50% similar. I like it very much for cold days, as winter begins in Chile. It’s cosy and comforting. It has moderate longevity and trail, but for the price I reapply and keep the bottle. It wins on all fronts if you like sweets.
I bought it once via eBay from Argentina, which meant waiting two months for it to reach my hands, or longer—I can’t remember exactly. Honestly, I loved its scent; I chose it because I read the reviews on the site. But on my skin, which is difficult for perfumes, it didn’t last at all, not even an hour. Nevertheless, I found it an exquisite fragrance. I mainly detected vanilla, sweetness, and white florals, but unfortunately, it wasn’t what I expected regarding persistence. Perhaps I was unlucky and bought an imitation; I bought it from a seller in Israel.
I don’t think it’s a dupe for BO; perhaps it’s 50% similar. However, regardless of that, I love it for a cold day, as we’re just starting winter in Chile. It’s cosy and gives me a sense of wellbeing and warmth. It has moderate longevity and sillage, but for the price, I reapply and carry the bottle with me. I believe it wins on all fronts if you like sweet scents.
Smells good, though I think Zara Gardenia is a better clone of Black Opium. It smells like Touch of Woman, just more intense and rich.
It gives the general idea of Black Opium, but La Rive is sweeter, with vanilla taking centre stage. The original is more dynamic and its vanilla is less sweet. The great success of Touch of Woman is that on my skin it lasts longer, about seven hours. Excellent alternative!
It gives the general idea of Black Opium, but La Rive is much sweeter, with vanilla taking centre stage. The original is more dynamic and its vanilla is less sweet. The great success of Touch of Woman is that on my skin it lasts longer, about seven hours. Excellent alternative!
Wow, incredible quality! I love it; I can’t stop smelling it. It’s gourmand and chocolatey, with a trail that has nothing to envy. Zara Gardenia falls short: this La Rive version is more intense, lasts longer, and its vanilla sweetness isn’t cloying. If you’re looking for something subtle, I wouldn’t recommend it; this is for making a statement.
Sweet chocolate scent. Projects well although it fades quickly, yet it lasts about eight hours on the skin. The bottle is lovely and the atomiser works well. It resembles Black Opium, but this one is sweeter.
Nothing like the original Black Opium; forget the chocolate, this is a white floral with a sweet touch, like J’adore but loaded with jasmine. For this price, no complaints.
