It’s very similar to the EDP, with less vanilla and less trail, but it lasts a long time. I think it’s perfect for a young girl.
I always look for blackcurrants, but here they are fresh, almost like chewing gum. It smells very similar to others, but these berries are livelier and less oriental. The scent is very distinctive, although perhaps it doesn’t have much projection; no one has ever asked me about it.

The scent intoxicates me straight after application; I prefer it to the EDP version as it is fresher. It leaves barely any sillage, making it perfect for daily wear, but I miss that it lasts longer on the skin, especially considering the price, which is the same as the EDP.
Very sweet fragrance with an intense fruity and coffee aroma. Good longevity and moderate sillage.

It left me wanting more. The scent is pleasant, but in my opinion, it doesn’t last long; you have to hug someone to notice it. If you don’t like heavy perfumes, this version works well, but I prefer to arrive somewhere and make my presence felt. It let me down, but I’ll stick with Black Opium.
It has left me with a slightly odd impression. The scent is fine, but it doesn’t last long; I have to hug myself to smell it. For those who don’t like heavy perfumes, this version works well, but I prefer to arrive somewhere and make my presence felt. It has let me down, yet I remain loyal to Black Opium.
Without the vanilla from the EDP, Black Opium doesn’t taste as good to me… too much fruit doesn’t match freshly ground coffee, and both longevity and sillage have dropped. Result: the EDP is a thousand times better than the EDT.
Delicious and sweet pear, PEAR! Why did they have to reformulate it? (2018)
Pear and super sweet – what a PEAR! Why did they have to reformulate it in 2018?
Yes, I tried it before! What is this?! Long ago I tested a sample of a Black Opium without knowing its name, and now I’ve found it—it’s this one. It’s a gem! A sweet gem that at first smells of strawberry chocolate, nothing more. It doesn’t feel fresh at the start, but then… what freshness, my goodness, exquisite! I detect a slight boozy note sitting at the base of the Black Opium. For me, it’s the sweetest, youthful, and winter-appropriate, and extremely appealing. I’d wear it day or night: it’s sexy yet retains innocence because it’s sweet with fruity notes. It’s like a girl: starts totally innocent and then changes over the hours, becoming more mature. First it’s fun, then serious. It’s mega versatile! You can wear it to a party or an important meeting. What a gem! The best coffee-based perfume I’ve tried so far. And yes, I definitely feel this is much more party-ready than Nuit Blanche. Speaking of the commercial… because Nuit Blanche is mega soft. For that very reason, it doesn’t resemble Nuit Blanche, nor Black Opium, nor Floral Shock. This one is its sweet little brother. If I could, I’d eat the bottle. How delicious! P.S.: I miss it.
Yes, I tried it before, but what is this?! Long ago I tested a sample of a Black Opium and didn’t know what it was called, now I did and it turns out it was this one. It’s a gem, a sweet gem that smells like chocolate with strawberries, nothing more. It doesn’t feel fresh at the start, but then… it’s so edible. Then the chocolate disappears and moves towards a fresh side, a divine freshness, exquisite, and I feel it slightly alcoholic to sit at the base of the Black Opium. For me it’s the sweetest, youthful, winter and extremely attractive. I would use it day and night. It’s sexy but keeps the innocent side, it’s sweet with little fruits, like a girl who starts innocent and then matures with the passing of hours. First it’s fun, then serious, mega versatile. You can use it at a party or an important meeting, day or night. It’s a gem, the best coffee perfume I’ve tried so far. 😪😪😪😪😪 I think it will only live in my dreams. I went back to the perfumeries hoping to find the 2015 EDT that I loved two months ago… but mistake, it wasn’t this, they had the EDP Glowing version and I already have that but I can’t find the same notes or the same sweetness. In the end I decided on the EDP, the only memory of this fragrance. Update: Pear, pear and sweet pear. I don’t know why they reformulated it. I’m trying to make do with the 2018 EDT but it has something I don’t like. If anyone knows where to buy the 2015 version or the old EDT, please let me know.
Delicious and less invasive than the original, I have the 2018 version. The opening is citrusy and then blends with a soft, lightly roasted coffee, with a base of chocolate and bergamot (which isn’t in the official notes), followed by the neroli flower. After three hours, the wood with its acidity, the soft coffee and the chocolate remain. Moderate longevity, about 5 to 6 hours on my skin. I’m happy, excellent scent.
In short: sweet coffee. I like it, but I prefer the intensity of the original. This one is sexy and flirtatious, I use it to go out, but it doesn’t give the same mystery as the original. It suits gourmand lovers. Nevertheless, I stick with the original because I like how intense it is.
What I smell most is the mandarin and the coffee, very pleasant, but it ends up too soft, barely skin-scent.
Ideal for spring or cool summer evenings, it has a citrus opening that makes a difference with the EDP. The downside is that on my skin it lasts a maximum of 4 hours. Very beautiful perfume, but poor performance; I’ll have to reapply.
I feel like putting cold coffee with fruits on my skin; the coffee is strong at the start with a sweet fruity blend but without being cloying. Then the coffee fades and the flowers emerge. I don’t find the elegance of the EDP, so I stick with this one.
I bought a tester of Black Opium and it’s the closest thing I have; perhaps its notes are stronger, but thank God I managed to get it to smell something of the discontinued EDT, something I didn’t feel with the regular Black Opium which faded in a single breath.
Because it no longer exists 😪😪😪🤧
I loved it once it dried down, although at first it smells like burnt coffee and overripe fruit, almost like a spoiled perfume; but then it blooms and becomes luminous and pleasant.
