Citrus elegant and classic perfume with a scent that can be framed in the style of Boucheron Pour Homme or Dior’s Eau Sauvage I don’t say they are similar just that this Creed fragrance repeats the same concept of a classic citrusy elegant cologne-style fragrance. It opens with soft slightly sweet citrus notes not sour or bitter accompanied by a delicate touch of mint. In the middle phase of the fragrance I suppose the basil and juniper give it that touch similar to verbena which when mixed with the mint and perhaps amber gives me the impression of smelling a very fine soap. At the end I manage to distinguish the musk. A simple elegant and classic fragrance not very suitable for young people rather for people aged 30 and above. The longevity is good reaching over 9 hours on my skin with a medium but perceptible trail for about 4 or 5 hours depending on the number of applications however it is one of those perfumes that at times seems you can’t feel it or you think it doesn’t project much but the people around you do smell it. I read in an internet reportage that Olivier Creed dedicated this perfume to Princess Diana of Wales after her death and if he wanted to recreate elegance and simplicity in a scent he succeeded.
Excellent elegant citrus classic superb… superb is the exact word… well-described pyramid… undoubtedly unisex… very very good longevity more than 8 hours of presence on my skin… solid trail for 4 hours. Be careful with over-applying in summer with heat this can be stifling. More than 3 puffs and the risk is on you. Usable in winter… yes yes. Along with Bond 9’s Eau de Ny my 2 best citrus scents in aroma and performance. End.
Elegant and classic citrus; ‘magnificent’ is the right word. The pyramid is well-defined, 100% unisex. The longevity is brutal, over 8 hours on skin with a solid trail lasting until 4pm. Be careful in summer heat as it can be suffocating; more than 3 sprays is a risk for yourself. Ideal for winter. Alongside Eau de Ny by Bond No. 9, these are my top 2 citrus fragrances for scent and performance. I’m in! ✌
It’s a perfume that smells like a classic cologne with lots of citrus and something floral. If we talk about associations it’s as if it were a version of Dior’s Eau Sauvage a bit more floral and thus I see it as more unisex. The scent is exquisite and of very pleasant naturalness but in my experience it doesn’t have much projection or longevity.
A supremely elegant fragrance where I primarily perceive the basil note leaving the citrus in the background super fresh and revitalising. Very summery ideal for the office and daytime meetings.
A super-elegant fragrance where basil takes the lead, leaving citrus in the background. It is super fresh and revitalising, very summery, perfect for the office and daytime meetings.
A fragrance with lots of basil. It lasts a very long time and the quality is noticeable but the scent is really outdated it truly smells like an old man. It’s not worth the cost not by any chance. It’s not elegant don’t believe that line it’s old in the bad sense.
Too much basil. It lasts a very long time and the quality is noticeable, but the scent is very outdated; it smells like an old man. It is not worth the price at all. It is not elegant, do not take that line, it is old in the bad sense.
I consider this fragrance a masterpiece of Creed. It is elegant to the utmost. The dry down is brutal with that clean musky scent pure class. A round fragrance from top to bottom. A timeless aroma that catches the eye. This perfume is for people who have things clear and do their work well. Why invent strange things? That Aventus is the king of Creed? I laugh at that. Creed has much better compositions than Aventus and Royal Water is one of them. For me 10/10. Well done Creed.
Elegant citrus with an interesting white musk base. Wood and basil. A touch of sweetness. Totally unisex. It has that Creed DNA… fine very elegant but with which I don’t quite identify; I’m neither rich nor noble. Perhaps it’s something personal but that certain aura their fragrances have doesn’t suit my personality (although I acknowledge it is good and smells of quality). The performance is fair/low for the price.
Elegant citrus with an interesting white musk base, wood, and basil, with a touch of sweetness. Totally unisex. It has that Creed DNA… fine and elegant, but with which I do not quite connect; I am neither rich nor noble. Perhaps it is personal, but that particular vibe of their fragrances does not fit my personality (although I recognise it smells good and is of quality). The performance is just/low for the price.
Royal Water is the crown jewel of Creed, the pinnacle of perfumery, designed for a princess, a work of art. It is fresh, solar, and musky, like a traditional cologne but with supreme-quality ingredients and incredible craftsmanship. It opens with fresh citrus, tangerine, bergamot, and herbs such as basil and verbena, with a heart of spices like nutmeg, cumin, and pepper. It is difficult to value it without trying because it does not seek to be original; it seems like just another cologne, yet elevated to a paroxysm in scent, longevity, trail, and feeling. Perhaps it is the best from the house for me, even though many say it is not that special, that it does not take risks or show initiative. One must appreciate its essence: it does not want to be new, just something good, classic, and beautiful.
Royal Water is the crown jewel of Creed sitting at the pinnacle of perfumery designed for a princess an undisputed work of art. It offers a very fresh solar musky fragrance a traditional cologne to which supreme quality raw materials have been added and crafted with equal dedication. It opens with very fresh citrus tangerine bergamot herbal notes of basil and verbena and a heart of basil and spices (nutmeg cumin pepper…). Hard to judge without trying it as it doesn’t offer originality and when trying to describe it it seems like just another cologne and indeed it is but elevated to the paroxysm in every facet: scent longevity trail sensations… Perhaps it is the best perfume in the house at least for me it is though many people upon smelling it will say it’s not quite that that it’s not purposeful that it doesn’t take risks but one must know how to appreciate it in its essence: it doesn’t want to be anything new just something good classic beautiful.
Creed has always been classic until they released those oriental launches. Royal Water is a men’s cologne a bit mature; I wouldn’t recommend it for women unless they have a dockyard diver in their DNA. It’s citrusy and fresh elegant. It opens with lemon and verbena slightly sharp but as it dries down it softens sweetening with that restraint that 20th-century men’s perfumes used to have. It turns green and soapy finishing with a dry elegant woody note like cedar. You can detect the mint but it’s not the star. As it dries it might remind you of Dior’s Eau Sauvage but Creed is less vintage more elegant with superb aromatic quality. For a man aged 30 and above it’s spectacular summery very elegant and classy. I won’t speak of longevity as I usually spray it on clothes and it lasts hours plus I reapply because on the days I wear it I want to enjoy it to the fullest.
