  • Quite pleasant but not very special; I think there are many similar ones that are better executed. However, given the price, longevity, and presentation, I find it generally a success.

  • A perfume without distinction. It goes unnoticed because it’s common and doesn’t last nearly as long on my skin.

  • I love it. From the first whiff, it fascinated me. That creamy vanilla scent makes it exquisite and delicious. Moderate longevity but very marked and defined sillage. Every time my mother uses it, I go crazy; it’s a scent I hadn’t smelled before, so I recognise it easily. The bottle looks elegant, lovely, and very feminine. In my opinion, it doesn’t smell bad, common, ordinary, or cheap. Every time someone wears it, I feel like eating the person. Definitely one of my favourites for women. If I could rate it, I’d give it 9.5/10.

  • Just bought it, smells like makeup with sandalwood and vanilla. Lasts a long time; I bought it for daily wear due to its sillage and longevity, plus the price is very accessible.

Hello! Shakira is my idol for her voice, dance, and way of being… I went to Sam’s this weekend and saw the S, Florale, and Wild lotions at 300 pesos, but none of them appealed to me. I went by the reviews saying it was the best, but on me it smells like talcum powder as the day goes on. For those who have it left, very well, good luck! I will definitely save up for the Rock, as I can detect it twice and I like its scent… Best wishes!

  • I absolutely love it; it’s very sweet and sexy, giving a sense of power and sexuality, 10/10. WARNING: my cousin bought it and it was pirated, nothing like the original. Be careful where you buy it, especially online.

Indispensable for me <3. It runs out quickly and I buy it again. It's delicious, ideal for evening wear in any season; sweet yet fresh at the same time. Boys love it. I don't know how to describe it: vanilla, fruity, and floral, with good longevity. You must try it, I adore it.

  • beleeeeeeeeeen_

Rich vanilla scent, highly recommended for young girls as it adds a sweet and tender touch.

  • Fernanda2620

It’s soft, vanilla-scented, smells like a crisp biscuit, ideal for young girls.

  • It’s a warm, pleasant amber-coloured perfume, although it doesn’t last long and is quite simple. It reminds me of amber by its colour. The bottle is too simple for my taste, and besides, it’s neither pretty nor practical. Once you start using it, you stop putting the ring on to close it, and then without a cap, it feels like it’s missing something. Anyway, as a mass-market perfume with Shakira’s image on it, it’s attractive. I bought it because it was on sale, but I’d do it again.

  • I like it a lot, it has good longevity on skin and clothes for a cologne. To me it smells like a vanilla doll or makeup. It’s a very rich scent of soft vanilla with jasmine and something powdery.

  • If you like very vanilla, common and highly volatile scents, this is your option. It’s unpleasant, it’s like smelling a woman who smells like custard.

  • jessiemaria

It was rich the first time I heard it, I loved it. It was love at first sight. Every time it runs out, I buy it again; it’s the only one where that happens 🙂

  • A PERFUME WITHOUT PAIN OR GLORY. IT DOESN’T LAST AND IT’S VERY COMMON. Very short longevity, smells of vanilla and light jasmine; the amber gives it some creaminess, but it’s a repetitive scent. Buy it only if you prefer very soft, classic perfumes. When you get used to high-end and someone gifts you something like this, you don’t know whether to return it or cry.

  • Terrible, it smells like expired makeup. I wonder if those who write such glowing reviews instead of spraying it themselves are just drinking it up, hehe.

  • I’ve had it for years and it’s not one of my favourites, but it’s a decent one, nothing more. It’s pleasant, sweet, original and not overpowering. I haven’t felt the complaint about poor duration that others mention, but like the rest, it’s average. What I do recognise is that the packaging I received has the best boxes you can hold in your hands, everything included.

  • I applied it slowly and boom! The opening is almost identical to Mugler’s Alien. What exquisite jasmine, but while Alien stays in that Edenic bath, ‘S’ after about five hours turns sweet, sweetly vanilla with sugar. That deflates the fragrance’s balloon; that’s why some find it cheap or horrible. Personally, I don’t like that it ends up like that… But watch out, it’s a good alternative if you love jasmine but don’t always have the budget for high-end. It’s like a distant cousin: it matches the first hour but then goes its own way. I still like it and will keep buying it.

  • I had two little bottles (I gave one away because someone gifted me another) and the truth is it’s not a scent I dislike; in fact, I used it quite a bit in my final school year. Nevertheless, it’s not a scent that drives me wild and with my means I don’t wish to buy it again. It’s fine for a gift, as it’s not intrusive or expensive.

Its scent isn’t unpleasant, however I haven’t liked it. It’s very fresh and even citrusy on my skin; I feel a lot of alcohol at first and I don’t smell any vanilla. No trail or projection… such a generic perfume I couldn’t identify it among others. There are many body mists with better performance and at a lower price. I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • I had it and used it until the very end. This and Rock Love are run-of-the-mill, for everyday wear. The S is a pleasant fragrance but very common, nothing particular. Anyway, it’s very usable and not tiring. I don’t dislike it, but I don’t think I’ll buy it again.

  • A beautiful perfume I won’t forget. I wore it back in 2010 for a long time. I’ve looked for it, but it’s not easy to find; I’ve only seen it online at a very high price. Perhaps it’s discontinued, what a pity. Although it’s a celebrity scent, I loved it; it gives a sweet and adorable aura.

How curious we perceive scents so differently! To me, Shakira’s S always sounded supremely sweet, warm, slightly powdery, ambered and sugary, with spectacular longevity. When I wore it at school it lasted from the morning shower until night, impossible! It felt very heavy in hot climates; the ideal is a beach climate, with sun and fresh breezes. I remember it with fondness; it’s still available in my country at a very accessible price, cheaper than a Victoria Secret cologne and with much to envy in terms of longevity, development and design. Of course, it’s not high-end, but it works very well and presents a delicious, creamy and warm vanilla. I don’t know of similar perfumes at this price range.

  • Micaocean

I find it very sweet and intense. At first it doesn’t bother, but if worn every day it becomes tiring. It has good longevity and a super powerful trail; I’ve noticed it on others and it lasts a long time on clothes. It’s a good fragrance, but only for those who love sweet scents.

  • Very soft, with vanilla and amber, no florals. I only wear it to sleep because, for me, it has no place in everyday life.

  • I was gifted it at 15; it was sweet, warm and lasted about 5-6 hours. It’s a scent most people would like, ideal for teenagers as it’s sweet and youthful, and at the price, perfect for daily use. Although it’s not special, I wouldn’t buy it again at 26. At the time, I preferred the S Eau Florale, its flanker, which I bought again years later. Still, I recommend the flanker over this, but as an affordable gift, it’s a rich option for teenagers.

  • I gave it away because it gave me headaches. Even though I sprayed very little, it always ended up the same: I felt dizzy and couldn’t bear a second chance.

  • It reminds me a bit of Paris Hilton’s Gold Rush; it’s sweet and fruity. The sandalwood gives it a very nice touch; I love it.

  • This is my first review here, although I’ve been following it for years. I’ve had this celebrity fragrance for two years and don’t always wear it as I alternate with others. I don’t feel it’s for teenagers; the first time I smelled it, it reminded me of YSL Paris from 1983, which my favourite aunt used in the late 90s (only this one has a hint of vanilla); both smell like makeup. Perhaps the S is for a younger age range than Paris, but it’s impossible not to relate them. I like to wear it in autumn and spring; it’s too heavy for summer and would go unnoticed in winter.

  • The creaminess of the vanilla and the sandalwood wood notes complement the jasmine beautifully on my skin. It’s like spraying the essence of vanilla baking extract but with a floral and slightly woody touch. Delicious for those who enjoy that scent; I use it on crisp days and it lasts about three hours, after which I need to reapply.

  • They gave it to me when I was quite a teenager. As soon as I smelled it, I knew I had to replace it. It smelled so sweet that it was unpleasant to me; it made me feel dizzy and gave me a headache. Furthermore, the atomiser was of poor quality and very uncomfortable to use. A real horror.

  • I’ve had this fragrance for years and it’s certainly not childish for me. On my skin, it smells quite mature and is a serious yet rich scent. What stands out is the floral notes and the slightly sweet amber. I really like it and have received several compliments, especially from gentlemen. It also has good sillage (for the first 4-5 hours) and longevity, lasting around 7 hours approximately.

  • They gave it to me when I was 17. I can’t quite remember the exact scent now, but I suppose I liked it because I used to finish it very quickly, haha. I also recall my first boyfriend loved it when I wore it. I’d love to smell it again; the olfactory memory it evokes is incredible.

  • I like it as an economical alternative to Dior Addict EDT. I use it for staying at home, taking my son to school, going to the supermarket, or even for yoga.

  • Lusungirl

If you want to start with Shakira’s fragrances, this is the perfect starting point (and then you’d move on to Rock). It’s a beautiful ambered scent. When dry, it smells very similar to Naomi Campbell’s signature from the 2000s. It’s an unbeatable combo: vanilla, amber, and jasmine; everyone will love it.

  • It’s a potent vanilla; if I wear it on my clothes, I might catch hints of jasmine. It doesn’t last long on me, about an hour. If you enjoy smelling like a vanilla biscuit, you’ll absolutely adore this perfume.

  • To sum up, it’s one of my favourites. My parents gave it to me when I was a teenager and I loved it instantly. It’s a super delicious ambered vanilla, neither too strong nor intrusive. 100% recommended.
