Sahare by Bvlgari is an oriental floral fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2024, this olfactory composition was created by perfumer Yann Vasnier. It smells incredibly opulent, like the rest of Bvlgari’s Gemme collection. It’s a comforting scent where a baroque rose heavy with amber reigns supreme. It could be defined as a rose syrup. It’s clearly oriental, winter and formal, more suited to women. It would suit a mature, elegant lady. It’s not for me, but it’s worth trying.
If you love rose, this is a blind buy. It opens with fresh, citrusy and spicy notes from bergamot and black pepper. Then the rose gains depth and becomes the star right through to the end. I adored it and would love to own it one day, although I already have many rose perfumes and don’t need it just now. I’m not ruling it out. The bottle and packaging are stunning.
Sahara by Bvlgari is a house gem: it successfully blends rose, amber and citrus. It smells opulent and characterful, making an elegant and distinguished statement. I highly recommend it, but beware: it’s not a blind buy for everyone who loves rose. It’s best to test it first, as its profile is very distinct and doesn’t suit everyone.
