It’s one of the best from State of Mind, with a beautiful citrus and orange opening and a green touch that reminds me of Renaissance by Xerjoff, but with more green nuances and less refinement. Over time, coriander takes over with a dry base. Longevity: 7 hours. Sillage: 1/2 metres for the first 1.5 hours. Scent: 8/10. Emotional Impact: No. Originality: 7/10. Price: €225 (100ml). Recommended: Moderate.
It’s a gem from State of Mind: it begins with a citrus and green orange note reminiscent of Renaissance by Xerjoff, but with more freshness and less acidity. Over time, coriander takes the lead with a dry base. It smells 8/10, lasts 7 hours, and projects well initially. At €225, it’s a safe purchase for moderate use.
Sense of Humour has that sweet citrus DNA I already knew from Clementine California or Diamond Cedar, featuring an orange as the star and a soapy base. The evolution is fresh and linear, although I was disappointed that the Darjeeling tea, which the brand promises, wasn’t noticeable at all. I prefer it over the Atelier Cologne version for having more nuances. It’s not bad for the heat and the quality is there, but I give it 7/10.
Sense of Humour has that DNA I already recognised in others like Clementine California or Diamond Cedar: a marked citrus note, slightly sweet at first, with an orange as the base, followed by a soapy, clean dry-down. Its evolution is linear, always fresh and pleasant. To be honest, I was a little disappointed because I expected to detect more tea, especially when the brand mentions Darjeeling, yet I didn’t sense it at all. On the other hand, I prefer the Atelier Cologne version, as it has more nuances. It’s not a bad perfume if you’re looking for something for the heat. At least, the quality is there. Rating: 7/10
