Smoke starts as smoke and ashtray with a dry tobacco base that soon flips the script, leaving tobacco front and centre. It sweetens gradually thanks to tonka bean, almost chocolate-like. The smoke recedes to the background, resulting in something more wearable, elegant, with restrained sweetness and pipe tobacco notes. The experience is excellent, though you do need to power through those rough first minutes. The evolution is engaging and it’s worth it. It embodies the vice of smoking, moving from the wild to the complex. In this case, it’s all about the former. Rating: 8/10, tested from the Discovery Set.

Smoke by Akro is bold and raw, realistically recreating cigarette smoke and burnt wood. The opening is intense, almost like walking into a room where people have just been smoking. Over time, the tobacco and tonka soften it a little, but the smoke still dominates. It’s not for everyone, but if you’re looking for something audacious, it stands out.
Although it opens with barbecue snacks (I think the EU banned the liquid smoke additive), as it dries down, tobacco and smoke emerge. A clean smoke, an elegant tobacconist’s tobacco scent. A simple fragrance, typical of Akro, faithful to the concept. No olfactory journeys or monstrous performance. It leans masculine, though with today’s girls using Ombré Nomade, one doesn’t know what to say. I feel a bit old-fashioned.
Akro with this fragrance ufff, very good. When you first spray it, it opens strong with a smell of smoke and tobacco, but once it settles on the skin, the magic begins: a sweet touch from the tonka bean that adds creaminess and something unique 🫠🫠🫠🫠
To be honest, I didn’t like it at all; it gives me nausea and smells like smoked ham all day. Never buy it blind, it’s risky, but luckily I ordered a decant. The longevity on skin is top-notch, what a shame the scent just doesn’t suit me. I’ve seen it very cheap.
