It should have been the ‘iced star’ but fresh: a freshly made piña colada with frozen ingredients. There’s a hint of frangipani. It opens super fruity at first, but on my skin, it evolves terribly and breaks down quickly. I ended up loving it because, after a shower, the dry scent is an incredible floral sandalwood. A friend said it smelled like cheap sunscreen on her. It didn’t give much projection, but it’s very evolving. I don’t think it’s that original.

  • Very tropical and summery. In my opinion, the opening is fruitier and sweeter than the dry-down. I recommend testing it on your skin to see if you like the finish. For me, the tiare flower gives it a watery side, perhaps a bitter edge as it dries down, depending on your skin; with molecular notes, everyone experiences it differently. In my case, I would have preferred the opening to last the whole journey, as the dry-down seems herbal to me. It’s not a guaranteed blind buy at 100%; test before investing. The trail lasts three and a half hours before becoming moderate, with a total longevity of about seven hours, very summery.

  • Very fruity and juicy opening with pineapple and coconut, like a slightly milky and sweet piña colada. The frangipani adds depth to the coconut while the sandalwood provides creaminess. The pineapple fades, leaving a creamy, milky coconut from the sandalwood and tiare flowers, with a caramelised base and buttery hints from the toffee. Safe for a blind buy if you enjoy gourmand and sweet scents; I find it unisex.

  • I’m shocked by other people’s comments, but for me, it’s delicious: sweet, juicy, and very long-lasting thanks to the ambroxan. I smell coconut, piña colada, frangipani, and creamy sandalwood; it doesn’t turn bitter or smell like fish or caviar. What are people talking about with Rise? It’s a juicy tropical scent that stands apart from typical beachy fragrances.

  • Smells like fruit cake soaked in canned pineapple, super sweet and tropical. However, the longevity and projection have disappointed me; I used a 5ml decant in just three days. I like the scent, but given the price and poor staying power, I wouldn’t buy it.
