What a commitment to be the first to review this version of Stella. The undisputed star is the rose, but to me it’s a fruity rose, accompanied by grape, even though I don’t see it listed as a declared note. In the opening, the orange is perceived fleetingly, but the rose arrives to stay. About two minutes later, a slight sweetness from the amber joins in, along with the distinguished woody base. It’s a fragrance without complexities, very simple yet quite lovely, feminine and ridiculously delicate. I feel it as a scent very much of the Victorian era. It’s for wearing in the heat, with beautiful, feminine dresses, during the day. Full of delicacy and softness. The only thing I reproach it for is that its trail and longevity are moderate.
I only smell of roses, freshly cut, very natural and fresh. I recommend it for daily wear. The only downside is it lasted a mere moment.
I only smell roses, as if freshly cut, very natural and fresh. I recommend it for daily wear. The only detail is that it lasted me a mere moment.
I’ve had this for months and use it occasionally. It always ends up the same: whenever the scent lingers on my clothes or pillow, I find myself craving to smell it again. The heart is a natural, clean, fresh rose like the plant itself, yet with a soft, jelly-like sweetness, likely from the amber. It’s a very neat, addictive candied rose that evokes cleanliness and calm. Sometimes it feels too crisp for my daily wear, so I don’t always choose it, but when I do, I really enjoy it. At first, I found it merely passable and indifferent, but after trying other rose fragrances, I realised how well it was crafted. It isn’t Lyric Man by Amouage, but it captures the naturalness of the rose with great respect. Overall, it’s fairly linear (and that’s not a bad thing), but the longevity is disappointing: only 4 to 5 hours in the heat.
