‘Sundazed’ caught me by surprise. I was expecting a lemon lollipop that would vanish in seconds (as happens with many Byredos), but it’s a pleasant citrus-gourmand blend. You can tell it’s from Epinette due to the same sweet lemon found in ‘Bal d’Afrique’. I’d summarise it as lemon and neroli bathed in syrup. It resembles Killian’s Love or JPG’s Classique Cabaret, but here the lemon shines more. It’s not refreshing due to its sweetness, but it is fresh for informal hot days. It’s like a feminised, youthful summer cologne. For a citrus, it projects and lasts brilliantly: 3 hours of strong projection and sillage at 12 hours. Edit 7/7/2022: On a summer night, the candy smell overpowered everything, leaving behind refined sugar that I didn’t like. If you don’t like ultra-sweet scents, use it only if it’s under 25°C. Pleasant: 7/10 Interesting: 3/10 Versatile: 6/10 Original: 4/10
Let’s start with the details: it arrived as a sample in a rollerball, which affects the projection because it can’t be sprayed. Nevertheless, it opens with a subtle citrus note without being that typical aggressive citrus, so I’ll give it points. Over time, only a sugary touch remains. It’s not teenage cotton candy but something for a young, friendly office girl—pretty and non-intrusive. It doesn’t last long, but it’s bearable; if it lasted longer, I’d consider it. I don’t know the price, but it sounds expensive for what it is. It doesn’t stand out in any way.
I didn’t think it would win me over so much; I expected a bitter citrus cocktail, but what a lovely result! ‘Sundazed’ is a balanced blend of citrus, white florals, and gourmand sweetness. Initially, the citrus and neroli dominate, while the dry-down features musk with a touch of cotton candy that prevents it from smelling like dish soap. On my skin, it smells like a soft tangerine and neroli cream. It sits between ‘LDBS’ and ‘Oriana’ but is distinct: LDBS is heavy and winter-appropriate, Oriana is more musky, and this is right in between. It’s bright, light, fresh, sweet, cheerful, and feminine. It makes me happy. The only flaw is the longevity—about 2 hours on my skin, one of the worst for Byredo. Oh dear, if it lasted longer I’d buy it, but for now I’m sticking with ‘Bal D’Afrique’!
I tried this perfume with a sample; the cotton candy note caught my attention and I saw many reviews saying it dominated, but no… the citrus dominates, it’s Light Blue style. It doesn’t last at all, after 10 minutes I can hardly smell anything on my skin, it’s not worth the hype it has. Recommend trying before buying 😊
On my skin, it smells like cotton candy, more cotton candy, and a small glimmer of citrus peeking through. I don’t enjoy gourmand aromas as much anymore, but ten years ago this would have become my favourite. It reminds me of Pink Sugar but much better made. It lasts about 2-3 hours on skin. Despite the brand defining it as a ‘sun’ scent, I associate it with a typical Sunday: at home watching films, resting, walking in the park, and baking.

One of the best Byredos I’ve tried and kept. It puts me in a good mood instantly. On my skin, it’s citrus cotton candy with a hint of neroli. The dry-down is special, slightly musky, and the neroli lingers until the end. It’s sparkling, sweet without being cloying, cheerful without being scandalous. Tremendously refined. Ideal for spring and summer. It’s the only one I’d buy again. My pH is complicated, but it lasts over 8 hours, passes the ‘sleeping test’, and has decent, fairly wide projection. Highly recommended. It’s literally a ray of sunshine in a bottle… and with a spray! 💫☀️
One of the best Byredo fragrances I’ve tried and keep in my collection. A pleasant aroma that instantly puts me in a good mood. On my skin it’s citrus cotton candy with neroli air. The dry-down is special, slightly musky. Neroli stays from start to finish. It’s sparkling, sweet without being cloying, jovial without being brash. Tremendously fine. Ideal for spring and summer. It’s the only one from the house I would buy again. My pH is complicated but it lasts over 8 hours, passes the sleep test and has medium, wide projection. Highly recommend trying it. It’s literally a ray of sunshine in a bottle… and with a spray! 💫☀️
Perfect for babies👶🏻
Smells very sweet like Nenuco with lots of neroli. A super fresh fragrance, like bathing in it.
Fresh, youthful and very feminine opening, evolving into something coquettish and elegant. One of the best neroli fragrances. Clean and versatile. I had a decant and added it to my wishlist.
It’s Amalfi Sunray by Zara but with better aromatic quality. Fresh and clean where neroli takes the lead and the cotton candy doesn’t sweeten as much, thank goodness. I detect an undeclared note of very clear, soft vetiver that gives it personality. Pleasant, spring-like and simple.
One of the most interesting citrus fragrances I’ve tried, despite its simplicity. Lemon dominates the opening, dense and sweetening as it dries with the cotton candy. Neroli is present throughout, adding sophistication and balancing the acid with the sweet. Decent performance for a citrus, around 5 hours. Suitable for everyone; informal wear but can dress you up well for a daytime wedding. Perfect for spring and summer.

The neroli is present throughout, adding sophistication and perfectly balancing the acid with the sweet. Decent performance for a citrus without being a beast (around 5 hours). Suitable for all, though I’d say more informal, although it could dress you well for a daytime wedding. Perfect for spring and to enjoy even more in summer.
A beautiful, clean scent, unisex with a feminine touch. Ideal for hot days and mornings; moderate duration typical of citrus notes. I detect lots of mandarin and something sweet, like cotton candy, which brings back childhood memories 😊.
Completely discontinued. 😭😭😭
