  • Caracol cologne

A citrusy and revitalising fragrance, perfect for hot days. Ideal for relaxing on a Mediterranean terrace with a cold drink. I haven’t tried the Terre d’Hermès Givrée version, but I know its DNA. Toro Glacé shares a certain ‘Hermès’ vibe, though it is more bitter, less mature, and more carefree. It projects well for the first hour and lingers on the skin for about 5 to 6 hours. An interesting choice if you are looking for something fresh for this summer and appreciate the Hermès DNA. For the price, it is a real gem.

Blind buy? Yes, absolutely. If you like daytime citrus, this is excellent. It is redundant if you already own fragrances like Jean Lowe Immortel (I have both and they are similar), but it is truly easy to like: citrus, fresh, sweet and bitter all at once. Highly recommended. That said, for now the performance is poor; we will see if it improves with time.

  • Kris Corvett

A truly lovely scent that opens with a sharp, citrusy note before settling into a creamy, soft, and floral finish. Excellent longevity, incredibly affordable, and a fantastic choice for summer. An 8/10 if you enjoy fresh fragrances; it’s a solid option with great performance.

  • It has nothing to do with Jean Lowe Immortel as people say. Both open citrusy, but Immortel smells like floor cleaner, whereas Toro Glace feels higher quality: bitter and fresh citrus, ideal for summer. The only thing Immortel wins on is longevity. If you are looking for something versatile for hot days and you like citrus, this is your fragrance.

Excellent clone of the original Hermès Eau Givrée but at a bargain price; I bought it for 24 euros against the original’s 129. I have had it for two days and it is already my favourite fragrance for summer. It opens very citrusy, lemon-like, sweet and fresh, and after half an hour settles on the skin smelling of Gin Tonic. It lasts about four or five hours, does not project much but is noticeable if you are close. It is discreet, elegant and of good quality. Totally recommended if you want to smell good without spending a fortune.

  • It’s not the same as Jean Lowe Immortel as people say. Both open with citrus, but Immortel smells like floor cleaner, whereas Toro Glace feels higher quality, a bitter and fresh citrus, ideal for summer. The only area where Immortel wins is longevity. If you’re looking for something versatile for heat and you like citrus, this is the one for you.

  • Toro Pour Homme Glace is a fresh and elegant men’s fragrance that combines citrus notes, such as clementine and grapefruit, with the warmth of woods. It is inspired by Terre d’Hermès Eau Givrée. The top notes are super citrusy, aromatic, and lively thanks to the clementine, but not the sweet, pulpy part; rather, the bitter rind, combined with mineral notes that create a sensation of cold, hence the name ‘Glace’ (ice) and ‘Eau Givrée’ (frozen water) in the Hermès version. In the heart notes, we find juniper berries and timur, also known as Nepalese pepper, which is actually a false pepper; it is a berry with a citrus flavour and scent reminiscent of candied grapefruit. The base notes are woody and vetiver. With its combination of bitter, fresh, and woody citrus, this fragrance presents itself as an ideal masculine option for warm climates and formal settings. It is perfect for special occasions or everyday office wear, provided it is paired with elegant attire, such as a suit and tie or blazer. Due to its mature character, I consider it more suitable for men aged 30 and above. It is not a classic beach perfume. Longevity is around 6 hours on skin and one day on clothes, with the last 12 hours being very subtle. Projection is moderate and noticeable for the first hour and a half. It is a very well-crafted fragrance that can be considered a 90% dupe of Eau Givrée. The main difference lies in the intensity of the mineral notes that create the cold sensation, which are more prominent in the original. Toro Pour Homme Glace seems to occupy a middle ground between Terre d’Hermès and Terre d’Hermès Eau Givrée.

  • Toro Pour Homme Glace is fresh and elegant, blending citrus notes like apple and grapefruit with warm woods. It is inspired by Terre d’Hermès Eau Givrée. The opening is super citrusy and lively due to the bitter apple peel, not the flesh, mixed with mineral notes that give it the cold sensation of its name. In the heart, there is juniper and timur (Nepal pepper), a berry that smells like candied grapefruit. The base is wood and vetiver. Ideal for men over 30 in warm climates and suits. Not for the beach. Lasts about six hours on skin and a day on clothes. Projects well for the first hour and a half. It is a 90% dupe of Eau Givrée, although the original has more mineral notes. It occupies a middle ground between Terre and Eau Givrée.

  • Good vibes, smells rich and fresh. To me, it sounds like burnt orange peel on the stove, with that sweet, bitter citrus note from Ambrosoli’s full lemon drops and a spicy kick, perhaps pepper. In the base, it smells of vetiver, very much in the Mediterranean style of Antonio Banderas. In short: it smells great and is all-rounder. The longevity is capricious, sometimes four hours, other times over seven.

  • Smells absolutely delicious, perfect for hot days. Imagine breaking a sprig of pine and mixing it with caramelised lemon. The only drawback is it doesn’t last long, particularly the projection and trail (at best an hour). You need to reapply at least twice a day. It lingers better on clothes. It gives the sensation of taking a refreshing citrus drink, like smelling a glass of chilled gin. Good purchase, but it vanishes very quickly.

  • Magnificent dupe of Hermès Terre Eau Givré. If you know the original you know how it smells. A dry and spiced gin and tonic. Good performance for its price.

  • Smells very rich, ideal for warm climates. Imagine breaking a pine branch and adding a caramelised lemon. The only downside is that it doesn’t last long, at least in projection and trail (maximum 1 hour). You have to reapply at least twice a day. It lasts longer on clothes. It gives the sensation of taking a citrus and relaxing drink, like smelling a frozen glass with gin. Good purchase, but it lasts very little.

  • I have had this perfume and the Terre d’Hermès. They’re not the same but… it’s incredible that a $20 perfume smells like this, it really smells much more expensive, like $60. In general, the citrus notes in the Hermès aren’t here, they’ve been substituted with some fruits, the drydown isn’t copied but in both it’s very pleasant. It’s not a perfect clone but it has impressive quality for the price, you can use both and be satisfied. Recommended blindly. Longevity of 4 hours, 1.5 hours projection. But it’s so cheap you can reapply. Perfect for summer. It’s less formal than the Hermès, more casual. In the drydown this Toro is more similar to the Terre original (EDT) than to the Eau Givré, in the opening it’s more similar to the Eau Givré. People like it and it seems you smell expensive. Now that you have plenty of money, go for the Eau Givré on eBay.

  • Magnificent dupe of Terre Eau Givrée by Hermès. If you know the original, you know how it smells. A dry, spiced gin tonic. Good performance for its price.

  • It is a delight, but let’s go step by step. First, it arrived today, and upon first spraying, I couldn’t believe I had finally found a fresh, pleasant summer fragrance that doesn’t have woods (which add extra weight) or isn’t the typical Invictus-Hawas-Nitro DNA. It feels nicely citrusy, revitalising, and fresh. It lifts your mood. It has good projection and sillage; it’s clearly not a beast, but for the $25 I paid in Argentina, it is a bargain. On the other hand, longevity on my skin lasted about 4-5 hours; I suppose macerating it will add a few more hours. I was looking for something for summer; my favourite scent is A.D. Bamboo Water, but the price-to-quality-and-longevity ratio doesn’t quite convince me. This is the affordable alternative that will save you for an unbearable summer daily routine (I live in a very hot city, 35°C or more in summer). Buy it, don’t hesitate.

  • It doesn’t last a damn thing. I left it oxidising for a month and a half and it still didn’t improve the longevity. Don’t buy it.

  • I tried Eau Givré months ago and loved it. Yesterday I tried it again and moved to another perfumerie with Toro Glace. The similarity was incredible; I compared them on both arms and it was hard to distinguish them. It reminded me of refreshing drinks in the heat, like a Tom Collins or mojito. The scent is clean. In terms of performance, I applied it at 6:30 pm and still felt it subtly at 6:30 am (I’m blessed with perfumes, they last quite a while). As we’re in summer, I’ll keep trying it.

  • It’s a delight, but let’s go step by step. It feels citrusy, revitalising and fresh. It puts you in a good mood. It has good projection and trail, it’s not a beast, but for the $25 I paid in Argentina, it’s a bargain. The skin longevity was 4-5 hours, I suppose it lasts longer with maceration. I was looking for something for summer, my favourite is A.D.’s Eau de Bambu, but the price vs quality and longevity don’t convince me. This is the cheap alternative that saves you for everyday summer (I live in a city with 35°C+). Buy it, don’t hesitate.

  • If the Toro smells like wet earth, this Toro Glace has a bit of that, but not from rain, rather from GIN. It’s a rare scent, distinct, and at first it may annoy the nose, but I received many compliments and with little use I understood why. It’s masculine, ideal for heat or rainy autumn, daytime and elegant. This ‘relaxed elegance’ makes it perfect for evening if you don’t want to draw too much attention, but rather be a sober, understated elegant, ideal for family or formal gatherings. Better or worse than the Toro? Different. Lasted about 7 hours on my skin (after 5 and a half hours it’s just a memory) and the performance is at the standard one can ask for.

I heard it and it doesn’t stick as much to Eau Givré; it’s not a bad perfume, but it fails at something most cheap Arab perfumes do: they can’t capture truly fresh citrus notes, always sounding synthetic and dense. As a perfume it’s fine, but as a dupe, not so much.
