It comes to replace Oligarch Parfum.
I had high expectations and was let down greatly. Thank goodness I ordered a 2ml sample instead of a blind 450-euro bottle of 50ml. It’s an excellent and high-quality scent, it’s a Roja… but it smells incredibly like Terre d’Hermès. I find it rather redundant and offers nothing new. On my skin, it’s like a TH but slightly more natural, much softer and creamier. I think, just like Oligarch, it might be overrated. But this, like art, if you’re willing to pay for something, then you value it or you have spare cash. I’ll keep looking and learning more about Roja… this one isn’t for me.
What a beautiful perfume, exquisite and unique. It captivated me the moment I smelled it. It’s a must for any collection. If you can afford it, buy it. It has a slight nod to Terre d’Hermès but it’s not the same; it has its own personality. It has straight made its way into my Top 5.
Excellent and gorgeous.
Excellent and beautiful.
I tested it yesterday like this: 2 sprays of Isola + 1 of Hacivat = a beautiful aroma, my wife loved it.
The fragrance is a marvel, but the bottle doesn’t fall behind. A 10 for both the contents and the packaging. If it weren’t for the price, it would be my signature here in Tenerife (today, 9th February, we’re at 26 degrees).
I tested it yesterday like this: two sprays of Isola plus one of Hacivat, and the result was pure beauty. My wife loved it.
The fragrance is a wonder… but damn, the bottle doesn’t fall behind either. A 10 for both the contents and the packaging. If it weren’t for the price, it would be my signature scent here in Tenerife (where it’s 26 degrees today, 9th February).
Nothing to do with Terre, don’t get me wrong: Terre is a tremendous icon, but they play in different families. Isola Blue opens with succulent citrus, very red. Woods quickly emerge, giving it incredible balance, super masculine. It’s very well blended like most of Roja’s offerings and has great versatility. I noticed part of the Burlington 1819 profile, but less sweet and more balanced. Without a doubt another gem from Roja, don’t let it slip away.
This is 100% Oligarch. I have one nearly finished from 2019 and a new Isola Blue, and it’s the same. They don’t look alike; they are identical. I’m smelling both sprays at once and don’t notice any difference. It’s a logical rebrand. I thought I was losing this gem, but it’s all on the same line: sophisticated, deep, sensual, with a juicy and bright opening. A winner for hot or spring days that makes me feel great every time I wear it. I don’t think I’ll find another similar one in the citrus family.
Thank goodness I tested it on a sample first, rather than rushing straight for the bottle. Yes, it resembles the discontinued Oligarch, but for me, it’s not the same; there are missing nuances in this new version compared to the old Oligarch. I detect a greener touch in this one that Isola Blue doesn’t have. Yes, they match roughly 95%, but they’re not exact. And nothing to do with Terre, absolutely nothing! 0.
Thank goodness I tested the sample before buying the bottle. It resembles the discontinued Oligarch, but for me, it’s not the same; it lacks nuances and has a greener touch than Isola Blue. They match 95%, but they aren’t exact and have nothing to do with Terre. Zero points.
It won’t leave my head: Isola Blu is approximately L’Eau d’Issey Miyake. The difference is bergamot and lemon versus yuzu, but it’s identical with certain nuances. Rich and fresh, without a doubt.
I’ve been wearing it for days and don’t notice much difference from Terre d’Hermès. Compared to the sample strip, it smells better, perhaps due to some natural oils that give the opening more roundness, but it’s the same fragrance. I don’t understand the price jump between the two.
This smells on another level, nothing like typical citrus. Give it time to reveal its nuances. Ideal for holidays in Sardinia or Mykonos with a relaxed outfit: Hermes sandals, linen, an open shirt, and Tom Ford sunglasses.
Bought the bottle and thought it was a fake until I stored it for a year; upon returning to it, what a revelation. Now all the notes are clear: lemon, coconut, green apple, and florals. The blend is complex and it was worth not throwing away the sample.
