  • It’s pure tuberose, but with a special twist: a linear white floral that highlights the flower’s sweetness and buttery texture, though it carries a green, damp, woody halo where the wood feels green rather than dry. Over time, that green side gains strength without dominating everything. In the end, it smells of calone and adds an aquatic touch. On my skin, it projects for 3 hours and lasts around 7. It suits any season, but shines brightest in spring and summer. Although it’s floral and could seem feminine, I see it as perfect for men in summer. Despite not being a fan of tuberose, its greenery won me over; it gives a wild air that other, more polished florals lack. To me, it smells more of a wild jungle in bloom than a rose garden, and that’s what I like. Pleasant: 7/10 Interesting: 7/10 Versatile: 10/10 Original: 5/10

Normally I don’t like tuberose-based perfumes, but Tuberosa is another story. It has a clear, powerful, linear opening that recalls the flower, but soon it wraps itself in exquisite sweetness, probably due to the sandalwood, which fascinates me, and other unlisted notes. Surprisingly, it’s the one that lingers longest on my skin from the Parfums Signature collection; I can even smell it after a shower, something rare for its siblings. It sounds more feminine, but as Coquita says, it’s ideal for men in spring-summer. I’ve really liked it, since I’m not a big fan of florals, and it blends beautifully with my skin. It’s an elegant, simple creation from an old house that today goes hand in hand with Jean-Claude Ellena.

  • Nard, nard and more nard, yet with a special twist. It’s a very linear white floral that highlights the sweet, buttery facet of nard, though it carries a subtle green, wet and woody halo where the wood itself feels green. This side of the fragrance becomes more prominent over time but never dominates. Towards the end, there’s a hint of calone that adds an aquatic touch. On my skin, it has worked brilliantly, projecting for three hours and lasting around seven in total. I think it’s suitable for any occasion and season, although it really shines in spring and summer. Given its strong floral character, it could be considered quite feminine, but I see it as perfect for a man, especially in summer. Despite not being a huge fan of nard, the greenery in this scent won me over; it gives a wild aspect that typical florals, which evoke that composure associated with femininity, lack. In that sense, Tuberose evokes more an untamed jungle where many plants are in bloom than a nursery or rose garden, and I appreciate it for that. Pleasant: 7/10 Interesting: 7/10 Versatile: 10/10 Original: 5/10

I’m not a fan of neroli-based perfumes, but Tuberosa is a different story. It has a very marked and potent opening that screams ‘flower’, but soon it wraps itself in exquisite sweetness, surely thanks to the sandalwood, which I adore, and perhaps some hidden notes. The most curious thing is that, compared to other scents from Parfums Signature, this is the one that lingers longest on my skin; even after a shower, I can still smell it, something its siblings lack. It sounds more feminine than masculine, but as Coquita says, for a bloke in spring-summer, it’s brilliant. It caught me off guard because I’m not one to eye floral scents, yet it blends divinely with me. A very good, elegant and simple creation from that old house that now goes hand in hand with Jean-Claude Ellena.
