The name says it all: it’s like Lady Vengeance turned up to maximum. It smells warmer, spicier, more musky and animalic than the previous one, with an excess of patchouli that makes it darker. Thanks to the tonka bean, vanilla and labdanum (though I barely notice them), it feels more nocturnal and oriental. The rose is natural yet extreme and saturated. Still, it retains that postmodern touch of synthetically bold, sensual, velvety and elegant rose typical of Juliette Has a Gun. I like it for that balance within imbalance: to make a statement. Sweet, sweet vengeance, nothing served on a cold plate.
Whenever they strip away the best elements, they force you to smell vanilla and coconut everywhere.
