Descripción

White Jasmine & Mint by Jo Malone London is a green floral fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2007, this olfactory composition was created by perfumer David Apel. The top notes reveal a vibrant freshness with mint, bergamot, chamomile, coriander, cardamom, and blackcurrant. The heart of the fragrance unfolds an elegant florality through jasmine, orange blossom, lily of the valley, and ylang-ylang, complemented by a May rose. The base notes add depth and warmth with tea, vetiver, cedar, musk, guaiac wood, and prune.

I tried it on the back of my hand this afternoon. After four hours, it’s distinctly noticeable, although the individual notes aren’t quite distinguishable, being more prominent at the start. It’s a different, unisex and fresh scent that lingers on the skin.

Jo Malone have stopped producing this fragrance. At first, I was heartbroken as it was my favourite of the summer; it smelled very fresh and elegant, but I’ve since found better (and cheaper) alternatives.

I picked it up online because they didn’t have it at my local ECI stand. I remember it from years ago with its sharp, drying finish; I was completely smitten. It’s the same: fresh and energetic, that mint really clears the mind, haha. I love its subtlety and elegance; I use it after a shower or before bed because it’s so relaxing. The Jo Malone Waterlily Tea Dress for Zara resembles it a little, it’s not identical, but it’s clearly inspired by it.

Sosa, synthetic and boring… does this smell like perfume? It’s an alien thing, like melted playdough in water with a hint of very muted tea. A total fiasco from Jo Malone.

Sosa, synthetic and boring… does this even smell like perfume? It’s a Martian thing, like melted plasticine in water with a very muted tea note. A total fiasco from Jo Malone.
