Claudine de Vogel
Claudine’s earliest memories are all associated with fragrance; the Eau Imperiale her grandfather would spray on his handkerchiefs, the scent of unlit Gitane cigarettes, the cold fireplace in the upstairs living room, and the classic geranium plants on the windowsill.
With family members working in the business, Claudine was fortunate enough to gain first-hand experience in the industry, completing three internships at Firmenich across different departments. The desire to become a perfumer was encouraged by Firmenich Master Perfumer Annie Buzantian and Claudine went on to study at the University of Plymouth to obtain a degree in Business of Perfumery. After successfully completing a Marketing internship at CPL Aromas and earning her degree, she began at CPL Aromas in 2002 as a trainee perfumer. Claudine was mentored by Christian Provenzano and Mike Parrott and has worked in the United Kingdom, Spain and now resides in Germany as part of the CPL team.
Although Claudine loves everything fragrant, her work focuses on toiletries, laundry, air care and fine perfumery.
Claudine has a preference for olfactive areas that are light and airy or the aromas of a cologne-style, but with a different touch, whether spiced, floral or amber. The key ingredients Claudine likes to use are black pepper, cardamom, magnolan and bergamot.
