Ioanna Tanionou

The senior perfumer of Greek origin, Ioanna Tanionou, combines her technical expertise in fragrance formulation with artistic sensitivity. She is a member of the British Society of Perfumers and her olfactory signature revolves around gourmand accords. Ioanna’s memories of helping her mother bake were a strong influence on her sense of smell and taste, ultimately shaping her perfume-creation style. She studied Chemistry and, after obtaining a master’s degree in Analytic Methods, decided to express her creativity in perfumery. Ioanna is a keen lover of art. She firmly believes that art is meant to create emotions and should be shared. In that spirit, she believes that fragrances, like art, should evoke feelings, memories and sensations. Described by her colleagues as a methodical creator, she is genuinely fascinated by the development of fine perfumery.
