Perfumes de Leslie Gauthier

“Choose a job you love and you’ll never have to work!” Following this motto, Leslie Gauthier decided to become a perfumer. As a child, she was fascinated by her mother’s perfume bottles, as well as the scent of the Strawberry Shortcake doll. Later, as a chemistry student, she couldn’t imagine staying in a laboratory; instead, she dreamed of having eyes that would shine like those of her ceramicist sister. For this reason, she would create fragrances to evoke emotions and move people. After joining Symrise in 2011, this curious, enthusiastic and open-minded person has gone on to work across six fragrance creation centres around the world: Singapore, France, Spain, Germany, Mexico and now Brazil, where she has been based since 2019. This enriching journey is reflected in Leslie’s compositions, giving them an assertive character, texture, volume and roughness.
