MANE was founded in 1871 by Victor Mane, who began producing aromatic materials from regional flowers and plants. The company’s roots are in the picturesque town of Le Bar-sur-Loup, located in the Alpes Maritimes region of France. Victor Mane’s sons, Eugène and Gabriel, took over the business between 1916 and 1958, expanding it internationally and establishing the brand as a force to be reckoned with in the fragrance and flavour industry. In 1959, Maurice Mane continued the family legacy by diversifying into the thriving market for flavourings for the food industry.
In 1995, Maurice Mane retired and assumed the position of Chairman of the Monitoring Committee, passing the baton to his son, Jean Mane, who now serves as Chairman of the company. Under Jean’s leadership, MANE has continued to grow and strengthen its position as one of the world’s leading fragrance and flavour design firms.
MANE is also a proud member of the European Flavour Association, a testament to the company’s commitment to industry standards and excellence.
