Margherita Carini
“Perfume is one of the most authentic forms of communication”
Born in Bologna, Italy, Margherita Carini has managed to transform her childhood olfactory memories into a career dedicated to perfumery. She began her journey in this art through her anosmial father, learning to pay attention to the aromas around her. Her creative process starts with the idea of creating for others. “The profession of the perfumer is based on listening.” Her curiosity about the unknown and her love of the arts and travel fuel her inspiration, allowing her to explore different cultures. Margherita sees perfumery as a form of authentic communication, “capable of evoking emotions and forging memories”. By capturing fleeting and memorable moments, she develops olfactive compositions that stand out for their brilliance and intensity.
She developed a passion for the arts and for creation thanks to her family, which promotes creativity as a form of communication and expression, for oneself and for others. After studying History of the Arts and then Pharmacy, she left Italy to join the perfumery school ISIPCA in Versailles. Her career in the world of fragrances began in Symrise’s in-house perfumery school, where she was able to fully explore her passion for raw materials, fragrances and creation. In 2021 Margherita became Junior Perfumer and now dedicates herself to creation. With Alienor Massenet as her mentor, she continues her path in the world of fragrances, between Paris and Dubai. As an enthusiastic world traveller and talented photographer, she continues to discover the world with a “curious nose” and “open eyes”.
