I saw this perfume at launch price in Peru yesterday. I tried it and immediately noticed the resemblance to classic Cool Water; it’s quite similar, let’s say 70% or more. However, I consider the original Cool Water to be better than this one.
It smells like a mini summer. It’s a Cool Water dupe but fresher for the heat. It’s not exactly the same as the original, which is more aromatic, deep, and dense; this one is more marine and aquatic. The fragrance is very good, perfect for hot days and daily wear, but to make it last a bit longer and have some projection, you need to apply between 8 and 10 sprays or reapply every two hours. What a pity it’s so weak in longevity and projection, as I firmly believe its scent is just as good, if not better, than the original. Pros include the price (200ml at 44.50 in ECI) and that spectacular sea and beach aroma. Ideal for original Cool Water fans in summer, but be clear it’s much more volatile. Scent 9/10, Sillage 7/10, Longevity 6/10, Price 9/10, Total 8/10.
Friends, I’m genuinely surprised by this fragrance; it offers excellent value for money. It’s not expensive, quite the opposite, and performs well. The marine scent moves away from the father’s loud profile to become a spicy, herbal sea breeze, with a magnificent base of sandalwood, cedar, and refined marine algae with musk. It’s a limited edition, ideal for summer, with similarities to D&G Light Blue Intense and Bulgari Aqua. If you spot it, it’s not a bad idea to give it a go.
I absolutely love this fragrance because it carries some of the Cool Water DNA… And the mint note is my favourite among the flankers, alongside Hot Water. In terms of longevity, it lasts an entire afternoon, though it fades quite a bit by evening. Very pleasant with a moderate sillage, perfect for sport without overwhelming anyone or yourself. It’s versatile for summer and spring, perhaps slightly less so than the other two I prefer. Rating: 8/10.
This flanker evolves brilliantly: it starts with mint, then blends into salty, smoky notes, striking a middle ground between Aqva Marine and Versace Pour Homme. As it dries down, it lands on the original Cool Water, keeping that smoky saltiness while bringing the mint back. It’s pleasant, summery, daily, and office-appropriate. If you can get your hands on it, it’s definitely worth a try.
