Descripción
Aqva Pour Homme Marine Toniq by Bvlgari is an aromatic aquatic fragrance for men. Launched in 2011, this composition was created by perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. Upon release, the scent unfolds the freshness of grapefruit and pear; the heart reveals the complexity of marine algae and aquatic notes; while the base settles with the elegance of Virginia cedar and sandalwood.

It felt like a close relative of Ocean Pacific Juice, but softer with a more marked citrus touch. The fruity notes (which seem to go beyond grapefruit and pear) last quite a while, blending with a green base (I suppose seaweed) and marine accord without the latter dominating. Woods appear at the end, reminding me of the dry-down of OP Juice too. It’s a youthful, informal perfume, perfect for summer or spring. It has good longevity and moderate sillage, typical of this type, although if you overdo it, the sillage can become heavy for about two or three hours. In my opinion, it’s very similar to OP Juice, but the latter costs two or three times less and also lasts well. Before buying Aqvua Marine Tonic, try OP Juice; if you like it, you’ll save a lot on an almost identical perfume style.

Those fruity notes (which seem to be more than just grapefruit and pear) last long enough to blend with a green base (I suppose seaweed) and marine accord without the marine dominating. It opens with a citrus and marine accord where grapefruit and seaweed take centre stage, alongside pear, though to me it felt more like watermelon, perhaps due to that freshness. Then, for a few hours, the citrus and marine notes give way to an aquatic note mixed with woods. It lasts consistently for over 8 hours, adding the 2-4 hours of the opening. Mid-life still has good projection, but over time it becomes closer to the skin. It reminds me of the classic Aqva pour homme, but this is superior in every way. Highly recommended for daily use in hot, dry climates. Longevity: 10/10 Versatility: 8.5/10 Projection: 9/10 Sillage: 9.5/10 Scent: 8/10 TOTAL: 9.5/10. For a fresh fragrance, it has too much quality.
A citrus and marine fragrance, ideal for summer. It has excellent trail and projection. It’s a great perfume that is no longer sold, pure quality.

It’s clear they’ve pulled it from the market. The trail is super personal, almost like a bubble. It’s a very soft scent, perfect for a 13-year-old boy. It’s fresh but subtler than CK One. After about 10 minutes, it smells faintly of oregano and epazote before fading away within an hour. It’s not for turning heads; ideal for use after a shower and some rest.
