Davidoff Cool Water Night Dive is a woody aquatic fragrance for men. Launched in 2014, this composition features marine, fruity, mint, pistachio, and lentisc resin notes in the top. The heart reveals tobacco, cashmere, black pepper, and sage, while the base settles on amber, woody notes, suede, and musk. The creation is signed by the perfumer who brought this nocturnal interpretation of the Cool Water collection to life.

Smells very good, good fix and trail. Suitable for both summer and winter. Fresh and warm at the same time. My next purchase soon.
I find the anise tone too intrusive. I’ll stick with the original Cool Water.
When I tried this fragrance, I liked it a lot; it has a striking and fresh opening, and the heart is excellent, reminding me greatly of Chanel’s Egoiste Platinum (it’s not the same, but very similar). It’s a slightly more modern version, so to speak, less intense than Egoiste Platinum and a bit fruitier. The truth is, Night Dive is very good; I liked it from the first moment. Its scent is initially fresh, powdery, fruity, sweet, and its longevity is medium, normal; you can smell it very softly for several hours. It’s for every day, not necessarily for night. A very good fragrance, captivating and very versatile. Many thanks, greetings.
Very good fragrance, fresh and striking, suitable for taking anywhere at night. The first seven hours are very noticeable, then it softens and fades slowly, so you still detect it. By twelve hours it’s over. Good value for the price and quality.
Cool Water Night Dive, I liked it; it’s a good version of the original Cool Water, a fragrance that is sweet and fresh at the same time, with an undeniably masculine nature. Although its name suggests it’s for night, I see many characteristics that make it a daytime fragrance, as its amber and spicy notes aren’t too warm. A note I detect is lavender, though it’s not listed. Anyway, it’s a fragrance that modernises the classic Cool Water. Its longevity reached eight hours, which is average. Its price is accessible, making it an excellent option compared to other aquatic-style fragrances with lower performance.
I liked Cool Water Night Dive; it is a good version of the original. It is sweet and fresh at the same time, with a masculine nature for sure. Although it is called for the night, I see many characteristics for the day, as its amber and spicy notes are not so warm. I detect lavender, although it is not declared. It is a fragrance that modernises the classic. Its longevity reached eight hours, average. Its price is accessible, being an excellent option compared to other aquatic fragrances with fewer features.
I love it; it smells different from the original Cool Water where mint dominated. Here they replace that note with pistachio and tobacco, very striking and less piercing. Although it is called Night, it gives me the sensation of night, but between 6 and 9 in the evening, not for a party. It is for walking along a waterfront with a nocturnal marine scent, of peace and introspection, or in a relaxed urban city. A good distant relative of Classic Cool Water.
Fresh, aquatic and fruity but masculine. I recommend over-applying! This way it unleashes all its virtues. It is exquisite, particular, not intrusive but with presence. Normal application: during the day or for weekday evening moments if you want something soft after a shower before bed. It is good to have it in the collection, nothing to do with the original Cool Water.
It is an improved version of traditional Cool Water, much fresher with a vintage fruity touch. It smells good for any weather, gives me energy, has a moderate trail and very good longevity (about 6-8 hours). Well done by Davidoff!
Very rich aroma, I have had it for 20 days and I do not regret it in the slightest. It does not resemble the original Cool Water; I find it sweeter and more fruity-floral. I detect something feminine and notes that remind me of Fahrenheit 32, although it is not similar. It is unique, although at times it sounds generic. I recommend it for summer nights or as a complement to the original. I like it very much, but if I have to choose, I prefer the original. Its value for money is a strong point, moderate trail and decent longevity. Try it!
Very rich aroma, I’ve had it for about twenty days, bought blind, and I don’t regret it at all; it doesn’t resemble the original Cool Water at all, I feel it as sweeter and more fruity-floral. I detect something of a feminine fragrance, and I also sense some notes similar to those in Fahrenheit 32 (I haven’t confirmed this), mind you, I’m not saying it’s similar, but there’s something that reminds me of it. Because as far as I’ve tried this Night Dive, it doesn’t resemble any other perfume, although at times it has a somewhat generic aroma. I recommend it for heavy summer nights, as a complement to the original Cool Water if we use the original during the day. I like it a lot; if I had to choose between this and the original, I still prefer the original. As with the original, its value for money is one of its strong points. Its trail is moderate, its longevity decent. It’s just a matter of trying it and letting your senses choose; I believe the female group will prefer this over the original.
It is impossible not to like this; it smells like delight on a beach daybed with a piña colada. I imagine an artisan market nearby, with tropical fruits, herbs, mint, bulk tobacco and cured leather. I loved it and its fixation is very good. I liked it more than the original Cool Water; it gave it what it was missing: character and better longevity.
I really found it a fresh but very sweet fragrance (to my taste), and tiring to the nose… one must be careful with how many sprays to apply because it’s ‘very dense’. I would use it at night and, although they say it’s for summer, I would use it more in winter due to its heavy trail.
At first it seemed fresh, but to my taste it is very sweet and tiring for the nose. One must be careful with the sprays as it is very dense. I would use it at night; although they say it is for summer, due to its heavy trail I would place it more in winter.
The scent is rich and fresh, but on my skin it fades very quickly. To my nose, it smells of fresh mint with a sweet and spicy hint, a brief fruity opening and a marine, musky base that blend beautifully. A lovely fragrance, casual and fresh, though its performance is moderate or scarce. Best regards to everyone!
I have a few sprays left from the same batch L3 1545396586 and the opening is brutal. In this heat, it easily lasts six hours. It has a slight sweet touch, if there is any, but the projection and longevity are top-notch.
I have a batch L3 1545396586 that has been a lifesaver here in El Salvador, with those crazy 32 degrees. It lasts about seven hours, projects well and leaves a medium trail. I’ve received many compliments. I don’t know if they reformulated it, but this batch on my skin has been brilliant.
This perfume is aquatic/ambery, a bit fruity in the opening; it reminds us once again of our friend (Invictus). It could be considered generic at first impression, but the difference is that after twenty minutes, the slightly amber suede takes the lead with a hint of tobacco in the background. There it takes a different direction, with more body and warmth. It’s a moderate/soft fragrance, but it stands out very well in winter; it’s seductive, slightly sweet, and the suede makes it very pleasant. If you’re looking for a highly differentiated, special and/or super potent fragrance, this isn’t the one, but if you’re looking for something pleasant to gift or for casual daily use, this is very good.
It’s aquatic/ambery, slightly fruity in the opening reminiscent of Invictus. The opening notes (mint, pistachio, fruits) would have convinced me before even trying it. I used it a long time ago and it’s one of my favourites. A sweet fragrance that doesn’t cloy because it’s fresh. Ideal for summer nights. The trail isn’t very large and longevity is normal; I see it more for personal enjoyment. Cheers.
Those opening notes would have convinced me even before trying it: mint, pistachio, fruits… However, I tried it and, long story short, I must say it’s one of my favourite perfumes. A sweet fragrance that doesn’t cloy because it is also fresh. Ideal for summer nights. The trail isn’t very large and its longevity is normal; I see it more as something to enjoy for oneself. Greetings.
I bought it in autumn and used it until winter. Fruity and sweet, it goes well in the office. Strong performance of 7 to 13 hours projecting about four hours; if you want it all day, overapply. The original Cool is rougher, this one is perfect for the night, sweet and with a warm temperature. It’s very different from Cool Water, it’s another perfume. Price $35, buy blind if you’re a fan of fruity scents, you must have it. It’s one of my favourites alongside Invictus Legend.
Cool Water Night Dive by the Swiss brand Davidoff. Dive Night is very different from its pioneer. Is it mentholated? Yes, but it’s not the star note; as in the mother Cool Water. The protagonist is an ultra-pleasant fruity nuance sprinkled with a refreshing aquatic vibe. Although Dive has notes of wood, pepper and tobacco, surprisingly it doesn’t feel old-school but enormously youthful. Attractive, versatile and an excellent option to wear casually on warm days.

I bought it again after several years. The first time I had it near launch and loved it. Now it’s hard to find; I hadn’t seen it in Argentina for ages until it reappeared. As soon as I sprayed it, I felt something strong and synthetic, but only for the first minute. Once it settled on the skin, it became creamy, woody and sweet. Overall, it’s fresh, marine, fruity and woody. It generates calm, comfort and relaxation. The concept of Night Dive is well represented. The bottle has a classic design with gradient blue glass and silver letters like the moon. Performance: the trail isn’t very wide but lasts six hours on skin and days on clothes (it used to last less on clothes). Ideal use: warm and temperate climates, evening/night, though not bad during the day if there’s no oppressive heat. If you like sweet, fresh and comfortable fragrances, try Night Dive. If you test it, don’t rush out… wait a few minutes and you’ll see the magic. P.S.: It has the vibe of Swiss Army Mountain Water and Kenzo Homme Night (two that I also love).
I loved it the moment I smelled it. Ideal for summer and spring nights, though also during the day. It doesn’t draw attention but is very liked at close range. Its drawback is the poor longevity and that it’s not a beast mode that turns heads. Totally recommended to buy.
We never quite clicked. I wear it for night outings because initially it’s spicy and lasts a few hours, then it fades. It lingers on clothes and I find it more pleasant there. It’s a matter of skin, I suppose.
Fresh and fruity. The mint and pistachio blend is interesting, feeling present without being brash. It should be called Sunset Rest. I’d wear it to watch a summer sunset, a pink sky, sitting on a sofa with a drink in hand. Once dry (2-3 hours) it smells like Eros EDT but more reserved and with Cool Water-style mint. Not suitable for going out at night nor long-lasting. Only for enjoying it for a couple of hours. Recommended if you find it cheap. EDIT 2025: not worth it 4/10.
A fantastic perfume for winter. It could be worn in the evening of a summer day, but better on the coast where it’s cooler. I haven’t seen it in Chile; perhaps it’s discontinued, which would be a shame. It’s a sandalwood incense blend with mint that doesn’t refresh but warms, like that mint leaf in tea; that’s why it’s barely noticeable, as the warm notes envelop it. Excellent aroma and projection. Longevity is around five hours.
Another entry in the Cool Water saga, this time Night Dive. It offers a herbal-marine aroma where the mint and aquatic touches of the original provide immediate freshness. I didn’t detect any pistachio. Projection is moderate, lasting about two hours before settling on the skin for another four before fading. Midway through, pepper emerges followed by wood. Very affordable in Argentina with the same performance as its siblings (four hours). Pleasant, sparkling and masculine, but it fails on longevity for evening wear; it doesn’t live up to its name. Ideal for mornings or autumn/spring afternoons. You’ll receive compliments, but no more. Fresh, masculine and with moderate projection for intermediate seasons at a good price. Cheers.
