I bought this by mistake, thinking it came from the same maker as Cool Water and Kouros; the AI winked at me… or perhaps gave me a gift. It’s a delicate fragrance, perfect for disconnecting, it leaves no trace, just for being. The spicy opening is rich, but what hooks me most is the suede note; it’s classy without being elegant. I’d say it suits men aged 30 to 60, and it shines brighter in summer. Even though it’s out of catalogue, I’d grab it again, hehe. I got lucky with a 2020 batch that was very well preserved.
I picked this up by mistake, thinking it was by the same perfumer as Cool Water and Kouros; the AI played a joke… or a gift. It’s a delicate scent, ideal for disconnecting and not thinking; nothing memorable but perfect for simply being. The spicy opening is rich, but what really hooks me is the suede; it has class without being pretentious. I’d place it for men aged 30 to 60, working best in summer. Although it’s discontinued, I’d buy it again hehe; I was lucky to catch a well-preserved 2020 batch.
The perfect combination of any other element with chilli. You can detect spicy notes adorned with cedar, pepper, suede, and sandalwood. From the moment you wear it, it emits a distinctive trail of chilli, sandalwood, and cedar. On me, it lasts almost 8 hours, after which it’s still perceptible at 20 cm. In general, it’s for a young mature man; the chilli prevents him from looking old, so if you’re between 25 and 40, it will exalt your maturity. What a pity it’s discontinued, IT DOESN’T EXIST ANYMORE. It’s in my top 10 of the ever-for-ever perfumes that represent me.
I barely remember it because it was the summer of 2003, the hottest I’ve ever known, when I bought it because I was told it was fresh for the season. I believe it hasn’t been sold for some time now, and to be honest, I remember it irregularly, perhaps because I would value it differently now. In those years, I recall proposals like Kenzo’s Eau. But I can say it had a ‘something’ I liked and was very popular for a while, perhaps due to having some aldehydes. It can’t be anymore, but I would like to wear it again.
A very pleasant and recommended perfume. It has a very herbal and aromatic opening that imparts freshness. Then it becomes woody with a touch of leather, staying close to the skin for about 5 to 6 hours on me. Ideal for spring and summer, as in the heat its presence stands out. It also has the advantage of its economical price. I wouldn’t dare indicate an age, as it depends on each person’s taste, plus tastes vary with age and experience. I use it day and night, at work and on social occasions. I recommend it.
Friends, this is undoubtedly a great creation from my humble nose. It’s a perfume with years on the market but it never ceases to surprise me with its pleasant aroma, and its price isn’t high, which is another advantage. It’s very fresh, super super pleasant, giving an excellent sense of cleanliness. In its notes, I sense wood essence and it’s aquatic, very very fresh. I recommend them for their smell and low cost, greetings.
With this review I risk contradicting myself, but I’ll try to explain myself as best I can. Unwittingly, I’ve acquired the complete Davidoff collection and can comment with knowledge of cause: of the four fragrances I have (Cool Water, Champion Energy, Champion, and now Echo), they are all slight variations of the original Cool Water, that is, fresh, halfway between aquatic and citrus. What intrigues me is that Echo has neither citrus nor aquatic notes; its declared notes are nutmeg, sandalwood, musk, cedar, pepper, chilli, and suede. But to be honest, I think Davidoff has improved the original Cool Water with each release, so Echo improved Cool Water, Champion improved Echo, and Champion Energy improved Champion; or at least that’s my feeling. Nice bottle, practical for travel, but uncomfortable to apply the spray. It’s youthful, for warm but ventilated climates, preferably for daytime use. Not for formal occasions.
