About Graphite
Graphite by Bath & Body Works is an aromatic citrus fragrance for men. Launched in 2018, this olfactive composition unfolds a pyramid of notes that evokes the freshness and sophistication of an autumn day. In the opening, the vibrant energy of bergamot and lemon intertwines with the warm wood of cedar, creating a luminous and enveloping top note. The heart of the fragrance reveals the complexity of lavender and rosemary, adding a herbal and relaxing touch that softens the initial intensity. Finally, the base settles on the elegance of musk and amber, leaving a clean and lasting trail that lingers on the skin.

Not bad at all when compared to those designer EDTs that last a mere breath. This comes as a COLOGNE and delivers, whereas branded ones cost five or six times more and perform equally; perhaps not the quality, but perfumery is both art and functionality. I bought it blindly at a 2×1 for 350 pesos and it does the same as ones costing 2,000. If judged by art standards, it falls short, but it fulfils its purpose: a pleasant scent post-bath and more. It’s generic, synthetic herbaceous citrus with an undefined character; the harmony is rare but it exists. Most perfumes nowadays should be labelled as COLOGNE. Focused on functionality, informal wear, trail for 2h30 and close to 5h more. Nothing artistic.
It’s one of the four colognes from the Men’s Signature Collection I tried today at the Bath And Body Works boutique on Margarita Island. Note, it’s a cologne-type concentration (no coincidence, it reminded me of Avon’s). They’re suited for domestic events or very informal outings near home. With this, the nearly two-hour longevity is what’s expected. The skin fixation is quite consistent, even after a cold shower. I really liked the blend of citrus with green notes. The truth is, being so diluted, they can be worn at any time of day.
