@ladamedenoir, I was quite a pothead in my youth; you’re not mistaken, cannabis, whether raw or smoked, has a taste reminiscent of oil paint, oils, and turpentine. That scent never appealed to me; it’s too raw, almost foetal, with an aroma similar to certain birdseed mixes. What does smell good, however, is hashish or pollen, as we used to call it, that pressed and squeezed cannabis infused until it becomes a slab that crumbles to the touch. That is truly a scent that drives you mad, ultra-sexy, incense-like, sandalwood-infused, and laced with nutmeg memories that make you drool 🙂
