In Chantilly Eau de Vie there’s a sweet, vanilla-infused pear, with a touch of gardenia and sampac jasmine that I’m not too keen on, nor the frangipani, but it doesn’t stop me from wearing it; it’s pleasant for everyday use (though I’m not a fruit lover). Pear fans will adore it because here the pear takes centre stage and is very realistic. A very dear person gifted it to me, and I wear it in cold or fresh weather, as in summer it can become cloying. It has a slight resemblance to Avon’s Far Away Infinity (which I also own and has low longevity); honestly, between the two, I prefer Chantilly Eau de Vie, which at times smells like pear ice cream. Longevity is moderate, so I’d recommend trying it before buying.
