Dana Chantilly is the sweet version of Shalimar EDT. It opens with slightly spicy yet soft citrus notes, something rarely found in other fragrances. After a few minutes, I detect a subtle vintage powdery and soapy touch, very moderate. It is a worthy cousin of Shalimar EDT but smoother, kinder, with the citrus notes dancing playfully alongside a young leather note, without anything being sharp. The soapy base blended with a lovely oakmoss, even with a hint of camphor, transports you to another era without feeling boxed in. It is gorgeous beyond measure if you like Shalimar EDT; this little giant has nothing to envy and can even be worn in heat with enviable ease compared to extremely expensive perfumes that don’t even reach the pavement across the road. Delicate, very unique, and gentle, wearing it is like treating your wrist well. Enjoy it knowing that, even if it belongs to a specific niche, you are wearing a fine fragrance. Thank you, Rebeca, for this delightful sample.
