I bought it yesterday at Zara along with the normal Seoul in a pack for €13. Good purchase, although the scent lasts a mere breath. It’s very summery: apple, mandarin, marine notes, and a bit of neroli… but I think it doesn’t last two hours, which doesn’t matter given the price. It needs reapplying and that’s fine. It’s 95% similar to its brother Seoul, but slightly more potent.
It’s like an Invictus Aqua. On skin, it lasts two to three hours, but on clothes, it lasts all day. It always feels close. It smells good and is perfect for hot days. The trail and projection are very good for the first hour, then they drop noticeably. Bought in a pack, it’s a cheap and good option to have these scents in the collection.
I’m a fan of the Invictus saga; my favourites are Legend and Platinum. I tried the normal Seoul at Zara and didn’t like it much; very alcoholic at first. Then I tried this Summer. It’s a soft Invictus, very artificial but pleasant after five minutes. To me, the longevity seems non-existent, although they say it reaches eight hours if you smell very close to the skin. It’s the typical cologne associated with body odour; it serves well as a skin scent. It costs €10.95 for 100ml, which isn’t bad, but the performance could improve. The Vibrant Leather, which I hate so much for its longevity, offers me much more staying power.
Seoul Summer: Starts fresh and fruity with green apple. Then, that freshness becomes aromatic thanks to the neroli blossom. As it dries down, the apple and neroli are wrapped in cedar, helping the longevity. It projects for two to three hours and lasts around six. It’s a summer flanker that’s more cheerful than the original. It’s designed for hot days (beach, walks); it loses its appeal if it’s not warm. Sweet and fruity, it delivers more than enough for its price. Ideal for daily summer wear.
If you live in the heat and are on a tight budget, this fragrance is a hit. The longevity and projection are moderate; it’s not a marvel for the price, but it’s excellent. It smells great for casual outings, uni, or work. It lasts six hours, projects for an hour and a half, and the trail is soft. I use it for trips to the bank or shopping without interacting with acquaintances; nothing to impress with. Rating: 8/10.
