  • A bit disappointed; I bought it with high hopes that it would smell special and refined, but it smells of plastic. Still, I wear it for the evening and it works, though there are some notes I don’t enjoy. The good thing is that it still gets compliments despite everything.

  • To those who say it’s identical to Baccarat, I don’t know where they’re getting their nose. Anyone who knows and wears Baccarat will tell you this is a cheap, decaffeinated version, lacking both charm and quality.

  • On first spray, the opening made me gag; I wanted to wash my hands. But ten minutes later, it changed completely and I adored it. To me, it smells like caramelised apple from a fairground. It’s strange at the start, but the dry-down is rich and powerful 💖.

I absolutely love it! It’s a scent that goes with everything, perhaps less so in summer, but it’s very versatile. I think it’s ideal for any age, gender, time of day, or season. It has good longevity for the price, doesn’t leave a trail, and is discreet with a unique touch.

Something strange happens to me: I find it absolutely delicious and wore it non-stop when I bought it, but with my skin’s pH it turns into a blast of rubber, like a tyre. I haven’t heard anyone else experience this, so I assume it’s my chemistry. I won’t be buying it again.

  • At first it smells of dentist and sterilisation, but after a while a sweet note emerges, which is where the magic lies. It smells odd, but that sweetness is rich and delicious.

  • Kabuki29

They gifted it to me after I tested it on a blotter and I was instantly smitten. I’ve worn it for six months, but on my skin it smells metallic and synthetic, even giving me a tickle in my throat. While others say it evolves into something sweet and elegant, on me it stays exactly as it is. The longevity is incredible and it’s an interesting fragrance, but simply not for me. I’ve already swapped it for something others enjoy more.

  • It’s leather from start to finish, literally smelling like natural leather soles. Quite linear, it lasts well, but the evolution is non-existent and it smells very synthetic. 5/10.

I bought it blindly with high expectations, but it does not quite convince me; it feels like a strange mixture. When I first smelled it, I loved it, but on the skin it is something else and disappointed me. I put a little on my wrist: the first half-hour smells unbearable, like the dentist; I thought it was imagination until I read the comments. Then for the first two hours, it smells strange, half-sweet. I will see how long it lasts and if it continues to change. So far, it has good sillage. Edit: days have passed and it still does not convince me; the good thing is that it has sillage and lasts for

  • I wanted it so much, but as soon as I applied it, it vanished 🙁 Could it be my nose? The same thing happened with Cloud; it didn’t last even half an hour, perhaps I am getting used to it. I see that some people love it and others hate it; I do not because it disappears just when I love it. On my wrists, I applied Fields at Night on the left and Red Temptation on the right at 5:30; now it is 12 and I can still smell the Fields right next to my skin. There is no doubt that some perfumes linger while others do not.

It is not a common aroma; it is special, for specific occasions. I bought it out of curiosity, it took me a while to enjoy it, but today I love it. It is true that it is unisex; my husband wants to wear it. I do not know if it is a dupe for Baccarat Rouge as I do not know that scent, but I love Red Temptation; I will buy it again and its flankers too.

  • MariangelinaC

It is one of Zara’s most loved scents and I have given it many chances, but I do not like it. I do not know why, but it smells very strong and is more unisex than feminine. In the end, I gifted it to someone. Every time I go to Zara, I try it again because people speak wonders of it, but it seems very alcoholic and suffocating to me. Today I bought the Sweet version, which seemed more bearable; I will wear it for a whole day to see if I do not get a headache.

  • MaggieMay

They compare it to Cloud, which is why I bought a decant, but no. It smells of leather and, personally, I do not like it; I have given it chances, but no. In Argentina, the brand Bagués has an imitation of the BR and it is exactly the same.

  • fleur parfumée

I really wanted it because of the reviews comparing it to Baccarat, but I couldn’t stand it. To me, it smells like a bomb: it projects for days a scent of blood mixed with a dental office. It was a disappointment; I thought I would love it.

  • Belenperfumada

I have a love/hate relationship with this. It does not smell like the dentist or a doctor, but rather something bitter, metallic, or like decomposing citrus; perhaps it is the saffron. It is so indistinct that I cannot stop smelling it, yet it does not bother me. Today is the first day I wore it outside the house. I love that it is different, unisex, and exotic. I will continue to experiment by mixing it with something sweeter or floral; I will update you later.

  • I don’t like this perfume’s dry down at all; the opening I can tolerate despite noting it’s very alcoholic (I don’t know if it’s because I have the roll-on), but regardless, it’s still bearable. The dry down is simply unbearable; it has a sharp point like ‘anis’, I don’t know how to describe it, but it’s a strange sweetness that is definitely not for everyone. I’m glad I bought a 10ml sample.

  • It projects too strongly and smells awful. I wish it were truly like the dentist, as people say, but afterwards it leaves a strange, animal-like scent that is simply intolerable. Only after hours, once this disgusting cocktail has faded, does a dry note remain that reminds me of the good parts of Burberry Her. Definitely not for me.

  • I bought it due to the hype and because it was touted as the perfect dupe for Baccarat Rouge (and yes, it is). Be warned, do not buy blindly. I do not smell the dentist on it, but it does smell different and is unisex. The initial cilantro note is very invasive and bothersome me. The dry-down is elegant, but I still wouldn’t recommend it without trying it first. The good thing is that at its price point, it has incredible sillage and longevity. I have been complimented on it greatly. I wear it with the All Mine cream from Beauty Creations because it smells similar, though that one is sweeter, and they pair perfectly together.

  • martapepuchol

I think the scent has changed over time, could it be? Last winter it was one of my must-haves, and now I can’t stand it.

  • Unfortunately, Zara perfumes seem a bit sharp in their dry down; those I tried with amber or gourmand notes always have that uncomfortable sweetness that feels like overcooked, burnt sugar and isn’t pleasant, as it’s very artificial. I recommend not buying them blindly.

  • naso_en_ciernes

Saffron, jasmine, moss, and amber are the most prominent notes to my nose. Totally unisex; I’d even say more masculine, although I don’t know what tonalities it results in on female skin. The long-lasting dry down, with moss and amber, is very pleasant; once the floral notes fade, a precise, slightly sweet amber note appears, even with a certain bitter edge, which is appreciated. Beyond whether it matches the original by Kurkdjian or not, I find this little perfume itself very interesting and even somewhat hidden from Zara’s hype, despite being launched years ago. It’s a warm scent for medium and cold climates, especially for night, that will attract ladies and if worn by a man. I think there’s more than enough quality for the price, with good or very good performance (at Zara, you have to try to find the best aromatic purchases and performance). Medium projection and long longevity in my case. I believe it deserves more attention than the male versions of the Kurkdjian perfume (For Him Red Edition), which tend to be flatter and highlight the sweetness. Go to the women’s section of your local store; you can find it in 30ml at a ridiculous price. Don’t be afraid to try a women’s perfume; by the way, I prefer this one to the male versions mentioned. Best regards. ** Batch code September ’24. 30ml version. Coffee-coloured box ‘Red Zara Temptation Eau de Parfum’. //For those who already enjoy Lattafa Ameer al Oudh Intense Oud or Oud for Glory, although this Zara version doesn’t have oud, you’ll be able to appreciate it better.

  • Andrecilla09

I bought one recently and it seems the batch from this year is super weak compared to previous ones; it used to have good sillage and longevity. Try to find old batches, although they might no longer be available, or let it macerate. 🙁

  • The first time I smelled RT was during Zara’s testers, and it didn’t seem like much to me; it smelled too plasticky, like when you’re given a brand-new doll. I opted for RT and Vanilla, a sweeter version. Not long ago, I returned to Zara and bought the traditional RT with the gold bottle. At first, it smelled very plasticky and like leather; I let my 12-year-old sister smell it, and she said it smelled like ‘dentist’. But after settling on my skin, the scent didn’t seem so bad: it smells sweet, like a clean candy, and has that slightly wild spark. The truth is, it’s very addictive, a very peculiar scent—not the typical silly girl perfume, but very sexy, reminding me of lingerie or the smell of skin after a shower. I ended up loving it; it’s intoxicating, and I understand why it’s the favourite of many and the hate of others. It’s certainly a perfume that makes people look at you. The only downside with Zara perfumes is that over time you get so used to them that you stop smelling them; it always happens to me, reaching a point where I can’t smell anything on myself, but when someone else wears them, I realise they do project quite a bit. This scent is rich beyond doubt, the best of Zara. ❤️

  • Supposedly it’s the dupe for Baccarat Rouge, which I’ve never smelled or owned, but it does smell quite similar to Burberry Her EDP. The difference is that Burberry highlights fruity and berry notes at the beginning, which this one lacks, although initially, I find it sweet due to the praline. What they share are the woody notes, which are more prominent in this Zara version. At first, it seemed sweet, but then it shifts to woody and slightly spiced, ideal for autumn and winter. It’s interesting that, on my skin at least, it doesn’t project much or last long, which is why I preferred buying the 30ml size to carry in my backpack and reapply. It’s lovely, but not the best perfume I’ve ever smelled; gradually, I’ll try its flankers to see how they are.

  • I would describe it as woody, earthy, and even with animalic notes; I don’t dislike it, but I don’t like it either. If I use it, it will be only in winter, on very cold days, with just two sprays. Not recommended at all for heat or for wearing heavily, as it gives me horrible headaches.

  • talejandraglz

I put too much faith in it. They say it smells like Baccarat Rouge, an addictive scent with a lot of hype, but I don’t find it incredible. It smells strong, with lots of alcohol at the start, and once it dries down, only moss and coriander remain, which I don’t like. It’s extremely mature, zero youthful vibe, but it does project a strong unisex aura. Some call it sexy, perhaps they’re right, but there are better options. For the price, it’s decent. A friend liked it because it gave a mature, imposing vibe, but to me, it became fatiguing and I wouldn’t recommend it for daily wear. If you like unisex scents, nothing feminine, intense and mature, this is for you. I admit all Zara perfumes have incredible projection, but this one smells cheap, lacks depth, and is very strong. I’d give it 6.5/10, only for very formal situations or when you don’t want to spend on expensive fragrances. If it reminds you a bit of Baccarat, it lacks that iconic sweetness that smells like burnt cotton candy.

  • I’ve had the travel size for years and never liked it; it felt like pure, invasive saffron. Today I tried it on a friend who had read many reviews about it, so I gave it a go. For the first time, I absolutely loved it. The aggressive saffron note is gone, and now it actually projects—maybe because I’ve owned it for so long. The only similarity is that I still see it as an autumn fragrance. I’m glad to have tried it again and finally like it, though I don’t think I’ll restock it for two reasons: Zara is expensive in Argentina, and I’m not sure if I consider it necessary or versatile; if I did, I’d buy it again in travel size or at most 30ml. Okay, Red Temptation has managed to tempt me despite our rocky start!

  • It’s the best in my collection; I own many, and this one is identical to the BR. Try the new flankers; this is the king. Thanks, Zara, I’ve had it for two years and can’t forget it. Recommended for winter and night outs, though it can be a bit overpowering. It lasts eight hours, noticeable from metres away and lingers on clothes. Give it a try first; it’s not for everyone.

  • MelinaCereza

At first sniff, I thought: ‘Ew!’ and now it’s my favourite. How is that possible? Hah. It smells incredibly long-lasting and different, earning me a thousand compliments. It’s not as sweet as people say; it’s indescribable. Don’t buy it blindly; it’s my new love.

  • Yolismar Herrera

At first, I was hooked, but it quickly turned into a love-hate relationship: initially, it smells sweet with a hint of alcohol, but over time, it leaves a kerosene-like base that becomes overwhelming and tiring, even though I still find myself wanting to smell it.

  • HellenLaura

It’s a crack: it lasts forever, it’s addictive and sensual. I see it as unisex, but if you want a more feminine touch, mix it with Cloud by Ariana Grande. It performs well on skin and on clothes, it’s another level entirely.

  • AMOOO this perfume, I love it, I love it, I love it. Being someone who loves sweet perfumes, this one has that sweet leather lining that is so rich and so sexy, fine but with the perfect touch of wildness; it’s a proper perfumazo. Personally, it evokes black lace that is super delicate, shiny leather, very addictive, very rich, very beautiful and very sensual 🔥. It may be a dupe and all, but I love this Zara line; it is the one that is really worth having from Zara. For me, it is a sexy perfumazo that every bold boss woman should own. ❤️ Cons: do not wear it alone on sunny days because if it becomes super invasive, it makes you want to vomit; it doesn’t last long, at most two and a half hours. And if you don’t like overly sweet perfumes, you will hate it; you can try the collection as they all start from this DNA and are different versions for different seasons.

  • One of my favourite perfumes; I think it suits any occasion. It is well-balanced in its notes and that is why it is very flexible to wear during the day, at night or in summer.

  • I only managed to keep it for the first few days before giving it away. It has nothing to do with the original scent or the hundreds of dupes you can smell around the city. I find a point in almost all of them, but I couldn’t make it work with this one, no matter how hard I tried. Besides, I smell it on everyone in the street and it feels like a curse. It smells medicinal, loud and harsh, like a dentist’s surgery; it gives me a migraine and makes me feel sick. It’s a shame because I love both Baccarat Rouge and its DNA so much, but with this one, I feel as though I’m spraying rat poison, although it might not be your case. Try it first because every skin is a world. Still, I think Zara has better perfumes, such as the line they designed with Jo Malone.

  • Of all the Baccarat Rouge alternatives I own, this one stands out for its orange note, which gives it a lovely touch. It’s very similar to the original DNA with that burnt sugar, except for a synthetic mid-note that slightly disrupts the harmony. Given the price, it’s worth it as a go-to dupe and I consider it totally unisex.
