  • I don’t find any resemblance to any Polo Red flanker; it’s the most generic stuff you can slap on your face; I didn’t like it at all. Not a trace of coffee like in other versions, quite forgettable.

  • I see no resemblance to any flanker of Polo Red; this is the most generic you can put on your face, I didn’t like it at all. Not a trace of coffee like in the other versions, so to speak, perfectly forgettable.

  • A flanker that, in my humble opinion, follows in the footsteps of the success of Y EDP by Yves Saint Laurent. What does it smell like? A generic apple scent. I don’t perceive the blend of notes. My nose detects a freshly cut red apple. It will appeal to young people with a classic style for daytime wear, but it’s an aroma that blends in with many current fragrances. An easily forgettable perfume. It lacks something to have its own personality.

  • This flanker follows in the footsteps of the success of Y EDP by Yves Saint Laurent, but to me it smells of generic apple. I don’t detect the blend of notes, just a freshly cut red apple. It might suit young people with a classic style to wear during the day, but it gets lost among many other current fragrances. It’s an easily forgettable perfume; it lacks something to have its own personality.

I tried it yesterday; I asked for the Polo Red Intense (black bottle) and they handed me this as if I didn’t know it was new. On smelling it, I liked it instantly and told my wife it smells like freshly cut apple. I asked the salesman if it had apple notes; he paused, said he’d call someone more expert. I told him not to worry, it was fine. I read the reviews and he was right. I wouldn’t buy it; it reminded me of Hugo from 1995 (which I love), except they took the apple out to make this Polo. Recommend testing it on cardboard, not buying it.

  • I tried it off the cuff, like so many other fragrances… It’s typical of today: a fruity citrus top with a boozy resinous base. Herbal notes, particularly a spicy sage that contrasts with the balm and sweetness. Youthful, elegant, sensual, with a warm spicy touch. Reminds me of coffee with resins and spices. Longevity and projection are moderate to weak. For what it costs… well, you know the drill.

  • Smells good and does its job: makes everyone smell nice. It’s not my favourite in the line; I prefer the classic EDT, but it’s cheerful and pleasant. The only drawback is the price, which is a bit high.

  • Smelling good is its strong suit and everyone likes it. It’s not my favourite in the line; I prefer the classic EDT, but the scent is cheerful and pleasant. The only downside is the price, which is a bit high.

I love it: the blueberry is the first thing you smell, rich and potent, though it fades a bit later but stays there all the time. Then the woods and lavender blend in, gaining strength gradually. Performs well for the first hour at a metre, then stays in my personal bubble at about 30 or 40 cm. By the third hour it’s skin-to-skin, about 10 or 15 cm, and by the fourth it clings to the skin and lasts another 3 or 4 hours, totaling around 7 or 8 hours. If you sweat, it releases incredible bursts even after the fourth hour, so it’s best used between 20 and 35 degrees, where it works best. High price, at least here in Uruguay. Scent 9, projection and trail 6, longevity 6, price 5. Total 6.5.

My experience: it smells rich, with a strong blueberry note at the start which then gives way to the woods and lavender that take control. Projection and longevity: the first hour reaches a metre, then drops to that personal bubble of 30-40 cm. By the third hour it’s skin-to-skin, at 10-15 cm, and by the fourth it stays right there, lasting another 3 or 4 hours, totaling about 7 or 8 hours. Be careful, when you sweat it releases very good bursts that are noticeable even after 4 hours, so the ideal is to use it between 20 and 35 degrees. Price: high, at least here in Uruguay. Note: Scent 9, Projection 6, Longevity 6, Price 5. Total 6.5.

  • This perfume is ambiguous: some love it and others find it overwhelming. I used it because it was a gift, but I wouldn’t buy it again. It looks elegant and has a deep trail, but the sweetness is very potent, so don’t use it in the heat or in enclosed spaces.

I took the 125ml and a 40ml travel size. It’s a youthful perfume, ideal for everyday use, like heading to university. I’m not looking for anything loud or with a heavy trail, and this is perfect for smelling good without drawing too much attention. On my skin it lasts about 2 or 3 hours; afterwards, it’s only noticeable when greeting someone or standing very close. I recommend it for daily use; the sweetness appeals to everyone and doesn’t make you stand out too much. I don’t wear it for parties or outdoor outings, because you’ll hardly be noticed unless you’ve just applied it. Not for summer either, as the sweetness can be overpowering, unless it’s at night.

I took the 125ml and a 40ml travel size. It’s ideal for daily routine, like going to uni; it’s not a loud perfume nor one that leaves a kilometre-long trail, but rather one that leaves you smelling good without being too noticeable. On my skin it lasts 2 or 3 hours, afterwards it’s only noticeable when greeting someone or being very close. I recommend it for daily wear because everyone likes that sweetness and it doesn’t attract attention. Don’t wear it for parties or outdoor outings, because as soon as you apply it people notice it, and neither in summer, as the sweetness will bother you, unless it’s at night.

It smells quite good, but the longevity is terrible. My advice is to filter by notes (blueberries, lavender, etc.) and buy something with better performance.

  • It’s a very pleasant and well-masculine scent, although it suffers from the short longevity that characterises the whole line; nevertheless, I forgive the flaw because I like it very much and it has earned me many compliments. The best parts are the red berries, musky woods, and a sweet base. It’s versatile, but I wouldn’t use it on days with extreme temperatures. Rating: 8.0/10

  • The scent is very masculine and pleasant, but it lacks longevity, barely doing enough. Still, I forgive the flaw because I love it and have received many compliments. Notes of red fruits, musky woods, and a sweet base. It’s versatile, though not for days with extreme temperatures. Rating: 8.0/10

Sweet at first, then it softens and the Ralph essence comes through. A pity its short longevity, about two hours, after which it stays very close to the skin. I suggest applying it more on clothes to extend its longevity. Share it only if you find it at a good price.

  • Hello, I’ve had this perfume for years. I use it and recommend it for everyday wear and for younger people, although it’s not the most economical option. I use it mostly in winter, though it works a bit for everything else. I do find it expensive for what it offers, especially the longevity on skin (at least on me), which isn’t very long; on clothes, however, it lasts much longer. The trail isn’t huge, but I’ve received some compliments, especially in the first hour; after two hours at most, it’s barely noticeable or you have to get close. I like its scent with marked citrus at the start and progressively that warm spice with the freshness typical of lavender. I can’t find the base notes more marked, perhaps due to that short longevity, but I do perceive those amber notes, though they aren’t particularly distinctive. This is my opinion; I recommend everyone smells it as it’s a good option for your daily routine and you draw your own conclusions, because to each their own taste.

  • I’ve been using it for years; it’s ideal for everyday wear and younger people, though it’s not cheap. I use it more in winter, although it works all year. You can tell it’s expensive due to the short longevity on skin (lasts longer on clothes), the trail is weak and lasts about two hours. I like the citrus opening that moves to a warm spicy note with a fresh touch of lavender. I don’t detect the base notes well due to the short duration, but I do notice some amber notes. It’s a good option for daily use; try it and draw your own conclusions; tastes vary.

  • What won me over was that berry scent in the trail. In the perfumerie I tried all the Red fragrances and this was the one that caught my attention the most. I also tried Polo Blue Parfum; I’ll buy one of those one day. I recommend it; it smells sweet but not cloying, and it smells like a man.

A super sophisticated vibe: starts citrusy and herbal with ginger, fresh and spicy. Then it moves to clean, dry, elegant woods. As it dries down, it leaves a woody accord with a resinous sweetness that adds warmth, without any fruitiness or powdery notes. It feels mature and elegant, perfect for night dates, leaving the office, or heading to a chic bar. It has the vibe of Azzaro Wanted or Boss Bottled Infinite, but more sober and resinous. Rating 8.5/10. Its elegant resinous sweetness makes it firm for winter and special nights.
