Descripción

Ralph Lauren Polo Blue Parfum is an aromatic woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2022, this composition was created by Carlos Benaïm and Pascal Gaurin. The top notes unfold with mandarin, pink pepper, and cardamom; the heart reveals lavender, helichrysum, vetiver, and jasmine; while the base notes settle on oak, frankincense, and patchouli.

Never look for reviews on sites where 90% is YouTube; there, ‘Polo Ralph Lauren’ doesn’t sell. You will quickly find positive reviews only if it is discontinued (as happens with everything). They will always repeat that it lasts little (5 hours) and projects strongly for one hour then drops… what? But it’s obvious! Just like any other perfume! Here they only repeat what they saw on YouTube. A connoisseur will never find anything good in this house, despite being a pioneer in marine fragrances… where do you think they got their inspiration for the others? I’ll leave them here 😉

I don’t understand those who say it adds nothing; within the line, it is the most formal and serious. The opening is similar to Deep Blue but smells more crafted and of higher quality; the pink pepper and mandarin are of tremendous quality. As it dries, it recalls ADG Profumo. The woody notes give it versatility and elegance, ideal for the office or elegant situations, and works well in the evening too. It has a dark touch that saves it in cold climates. Performance is good, it’s not expensive and lasts 7–8 hours on skin. Projection fades progressively (unlike the current EDP which drops suddenly), lasting around five hours nicely. It smells fantastic indoors and is noticeable, but outdoors it stands out with a light, charming trail. A great fragrance worth buying before they reformulate it; the most formal and serious blue scent I’ve used.

  • Antonio695

Excellent scent and longevity. Citrusy at first, then sweet and woody at the end. I love it; it lasts about six hours.

  • CanaryIsland

Smells metallic or marine, nothing more. It’s generic for daily wear or the gym; it’s okay, but I wouldn’t buy it again as there are better options.

  • It shares similarities with ADN Polo Blue but is heavier, ideal for cold days, rain or crisp weather, nothing for intense heat. It lasts around six hours; the brand makes excellent perfumes but the longevity falls apart. It’s more intimate, like the Nuit, not overwhelming like the JPG. Not for the gym, but perfect after a shower, for classes, work or dates. In cold weather, it makes people want to draw closer. A winning choice for simple people, blending touches of the EDT with the sensuality of the EDP. If you know how to savour the moment, it fits like a glove. 1/10 Longevity: 6, Sillage: 5, Projection: 5, Price: 8, Bottle: 9. A rich, simple aroma that everyone likes; it could be your signature if you know your direction.

First impression: marine, like a touch of maturity. Reminded me of Acqua Di Gio Parfum for that salty note, the mandarin and that astringent scent. Good for heat with decent performance and trail.

  • sanctus_iacobus

After four or five hours, I detect tonnes of sea water; once the sweetness fades, a ‘salty’ accord emerges that I’ve never sensed before, even tasting salty on the lips. Initially, it seemed conventional to me, with weak projection and little charm.

  • A rich fragrance, but it has become repetitive across the entire Polo line. It lasts very little despite being a parfum and fails to live up to its name. Disappointing that, knowing this, they do nothing to fix it.

I was gifted this to try in the shopping centre and absolutely loved it. At 19, I find it incredibly versatile, suitable for heat, evening, casual or formal occasions. The aquatic and marine notes stand out, smelling exquisite. It lasts 7–8 hours on blotter paper and is sensational from start to finish. I would buy it again without hesitation.

  • Rich scent and suits the opposite sex perfectly, yet its Achilles’ heel is longevity: at best it lasts five hours on skin, with projection fading after just the first hour. It works well as a signature scent, but you’ll need to reapply during the workday. Only buy if you catch it on sale; ideal for spring, summer and autumn (not for cold weather). 8.2/10

  • Bought it three days ago and wow, what a perfume!! I will not analyse the notes; I will make it easy for the reader. The scent is like AdG Profondo with a darker, warmer twist, making it exquisite: marine, fruity, and elegant to the max. Without a doubt, it becomes one of my favourites. Excellent sillage, good longevity, excellent scent, and excellent versatility.

It arrived a week ago. I bought the Ralph Lauren Blue Parfum because I had been using the Eau de Toilette for years and liked it very much. Logically, I thought it would be similar but more potent, but no; it is similar but lasts nothing (it smells good, but you don’t even realise you are wearing it, and even less so that people around you can perceive it). Next time, I will go back to the Eau de Toilette.

We all know Ralph Lauren does not make potent perfumes, but they work the aromas very well, ensuring they are balanced and excellently executed. This Polo Blue Parfum is fresh yet elegant, super versatile, and as masculine as it gets. The sillage is moderate but arrives in bursts reminding you of how good you smell. For me, a very good perfume, 8/10.

  • FonGalicia

A very special fragrance; it smells different from the rest but is very masculine and rich. It is less versatile than the other Polo Blues, but it has a very special elegant touch that makes it phenomenal. The longevity is good and it projects a lot; with 3 or 4 sprays in half an hour, in a closed room you can smell it all the way to the front. In summary, a very good fragrance for spring and autumn, perhaps more for daytime. A 7.5 out of 10.

  • The undisputed king for me; I already own all three Polo Blues. The longevity is short, but if you atomise more, they hold up. Watch out: when it settles, it is TOO SEXY and does not tire those around you. If you love the line, buy it blind. If they improve the quality and longevity slightly, it approaches niche status. The incense adds class and elegance, maintaining the Eau de Parfum DNA with a spicy and super rough woody touch. It is addictive; I have it in hand and literally feel happiness possessing it. I prefer buying it again rather than a Creed Aventus clone.

  • Alanirde11

I had never tried the Ralph Lauren range before, but I have quite liked it. I see it more as an autumn scent for a mature man in semi-formal attire, minimum age 30. It is elegant but not overwhelming, with moderate longevity, though in a few months once it has macerated, it looks like it will last much longer. I recommend it wholeheartedly, even for a blind buy; however, to be fair, I don’t see it as youthful, so young men, better to grab Invictus Platinum or similar.

  • Sofisticado

Yes, gentlemen. The Ralph Lauren Parfum has made its way into my year-round essentials (I’ve been forced to buy backups, which is saying a lot). It’s simple: if you are looking for a perfume with the perfect balance between citrus, marine, clean, neat, mature, and elegant, this is it. Do not look further or try to find three legs to a stool, as the wheel has already been invented. I haven’t smelled a fragrance so well-balanced, fresh, and masculine in a long time. As of today, I rate it alongside Profumo Cedrat Boise and very few others in versatile men’s perfumes to enjoy every day. Absolutely addictive and indispensable. A 10 for the Polo brand.

  • I’ve owned it for years. My signature was always Polo Blue EDT, and seeing how the reformulations ruined it, I bought this to see if it recovered what was lost. Unfortunately, it didn’t. It is rich, yes, but it smells different; I don’t feel the same DNA as the original. I will never again have that perfume so rich that I never got tired of wearing it. Nowadays, it smells more like alcohol than perfume, and the EDP and Parfum versions do not substitute the original. It smells more fruity, formal, and fresh, whereas the EDT felt suede-like, with talc notes when dry and white flowers that made it unique. A shame. To avoid spending so much, Natura has a perfume called O2 that is very similar. I say this with knowledge as I know the scent well; it reminds me of it immensely. Scent: 7/10 Longevity: 8/10 Projection: 6/10 Sillage: 7/10 Value for money: 3/10 Blind buy: 5/10 Versatility: 5/10 Season: warm and temperate climates.

  • venanciomike

I’ve had it for nearly half a year. I asked my partner for a Polo Blue, and instead, he gifted me the Parfum (though the EDP is superior and we liked it in-store). Personally, the Parfum smells much better; I hate the vetiver note in the EDP, and this one lacks it. The only downside is the longevity and projection, which are almost non-existent, similar to the Double Black. The Blue EDP lasts longer but isn’t the favourite in the line. What a pity such a lovely scent performs so poorly.

  • Bought it purely due to the hype. The trail and projection are extremely poor; I’m not sure if it needs macerating, but it’s a real letdown. Lasts only 5 to 6 hours on the skin.

  • boris steven

The Polo Blue Parfum has a more elegant touch than the EDP, although both are fresh; the Parfum is more mature. The main difference is that the Parfum lacks that marked marine note of the EDP. Instead, the wood is much more noticeable, giving it sophistication and body. Furthermore, the pepper and mandarin create a rich harmony. Longevity is 6-7 hours, but nothing a reapplication can’t fix, as it doesn’t saturate. It projects well at the start, 1.5 hours is very good, then it drops, but as it dries, the lavender and jasmine notes develop beautifully and continue to give little bursts all day. It’s a version with more presence and elegance, less fresh than the EDP (which I love), but more sophisticated thanks to the woods and spices. Suitable for all year round, all-terrain, and perfect for special occasions. A gem.

  • A delight for any occasion, though I believe it blooms best in spring. Elegant, fresh, woody, and slightly soapy; very pleasant. It doesn’t last long on skin, about four hours, and a bit longer on clothes. Perhaps it needs a bit more oxygenation to extend the longevity. From now on, totally recommended. 8/10

  • I love its scent, which is why I also bought the EDP; it’s very good, and it’s a range that many people enjoy wearing.

  • I loved it. It smells blue and marine, but with woody notes that make it versatile and elegant. It doesn’t have great performance, but I think that happens to all the blues. It has the DNA of all the Polo Blues, and that’s what I love.

  • CesarMendezg

I tried the EDP and it’s disappointingly generic, smelling like a typical citrus, akin to Aqua di Gio, Adidas Summer, or Axe Marine. The Polo Blue Parfum is the mature version, with a very masculine oakwood base and a floral body, so be aware if you dislike florals, but it has great character and intensity. I’m not sure if it’s as summery or more nocturnal; there are better options for the day, but for a beach date on a summer night… well, this one does the trick.

  • An olfactory masterpiece combining freshness, warmth, and depth. Ideal from the first moment for those seeking versatility and balance. Perfect for special occasions or for leaving a sophisticated impression. Its evolution is captivating: from a vibrant opening to an enveloping, mysterious dry down. An exquisite choice for lovers of complex perfumes. Note: not all pH levels are equal. If you feel weak projection or it fades quickly, reapply to clothes and skin. Use it without fear; perfumes shouldn’t last forever.

  • 4597674mel

Super masculine, very elegant. Conquering. One of my favourites. Mandarin, vetiver, incense. For special occasions at any time of year. Rating: 10/10

  • Added to my collection on 08/05/2025. Many thanks, Nahuel, for the gift. For me, this is the best fragrance in the Polo Blue collection. It’s exquisite, the most sophisticated and refined version of the classic, yet it retains that freshness without losing its aquatic essence. Upon application, you note citrus and freshness; instantly, a subtle fruit, almost like a sea breeze with mandarin, blending with something spiced and dark, making it clear this isn’t your typical summer scent. As it dries, a polished woody base emerges with vetiver and patchouli. There’s also incense, very subtle, adding mystery without being heavy. The special thing is its versatility: it works all year round, has a casual-luxury air, and is perfect for formal events. Longevity and projection are average, something to consider given its subtlety. With six sprays, it lasted six hours: two hours with good sillage before settling into a skin scent. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, because olfactorily it’s the best experience in the collection. If you can get it at a good price and you like the blues, don’t hesitate; it’s a marvel.

  • Diego Parfum de Marly

A good perfume, though out of the entire Polo Blue range, it’s the one I like the least.

  • I love this version of Polo Blue; it’s the one that catches my attention the most, a possible purchase in the future.

  • Ander 333

At first glance, it smells very similar to Loewe 7 Cobalt. The opening is super fruity and delicious, then it becomes more aromatic, but the dry down is almost identical to that vetiver and incense blend from the dupe. It’s versatile, rich, and elegant. The initial impression is excellent; I’ll need to keep testing it to be sure. Salu2

  • javier.vdl

It’s rich, elegant, masculine and versatile. The quintessential daily daytime fragrance for use all year round: autumn, winter, spring or summer.

  • OlveraLopez

An exquisite aroma but with very poor performance on my skin. Only four to five hours.

  • What can you say about this perfume bomb? The aromatic quality is brutal. In my opinion, it’s for exclusive use in autumn if it’s mild, or in spring and summer. Winter eats it up. It doesn’t last and project as we all hope for the price paid, really. For me, it’s for any occasion, but dressed moderately well, because it’s a slightly elegant perfume.

  • Leandro Matias

It gives a more elegant and serious touch than the previous EDP; it’s an incredible fragrance that always leaves you looking sharp. I’ll buy it again when I run out.

  • Nacho Regio

It breaks away from the traditional aquatic fragrance. It has ingredients that make it masculine and elegant. It’s versatile: it goes great whether you’re dressed up for a social event or for the office. Spectacular!

  • Fragranticman

Fantastic aroma. A great flanker. Follows the original and the EDP. Opens with a fresh citrus, softly spiced and woody, elegant. It’s not the most sophisticated, but it has evident elegance. Among designer scents, alongside Armani, Chanel, D&G, Dior and Hermès, it is one of the most elegant. More elegant things are niche. Unique; nothing is like it. The elegance is sober, measured, discreet; it doesn’t shout or surprise; it is noble, simple and circumspect.

  • JohnLecter86

A correct and neat fragrance. Nothing novel, but it handles its notes very well-balanced and isn’t annoying. Ideal for the office or a casual outing. The opening is rich; you can detect the mandarin. In the heart, lavender and vetiver (for my untrained nose). At the base, cedar and very prominent musk. It’s not bad; it doesn’t make you stand out, nor does it go unnoticed.

  • ChristianCedeño

For the office, if you like it, don’t expect compliments or reactions. It’s discreet, comes and goes: the notes appear, then disappear, come back and reappear. Lasts a maximum of about three hours. Requires reapplication, but smells very gentlemanly.
