Moderately pleasant aroma but without standing out. Sweet and floral, lacking nuances, with poor longevity.

  • They gave it to me years ago, but I had to pass it on. I didn’t like it at all: it’s very strong, sharp and irritating.

  • They gave it to me years ago and I had to pass it on to someone else. I didn’t like it at all: strong, sharp, and intrusive.

  • It seems elegant and pleasant, but if you wear too much of it, it becomes heavy. I have the miniature and I’m doubting whether to buy the full bottle. I’d give it 7 out of 10.

  • It was a gift and it gave me an allergy, non-stop sneezing. It wouldn’t come off my skin even with hot water. I ended up leaving it forgotten in a hotel, very far from home.

Exotic aroma, strictly for those who love something powerful. Ideal for evening wear or key events. Lately it’s been hard to find; I’m not sure if they’ve stopped selling it. Following Lancôme’s big campaign, people seem to be avoiding it. I absolutely adore it: it conveys sensuality, elegance, and the style of a confident woman. It smells intense and striking, with saffron, rose, and sandalwood lingering throughout.

  • A fragrance without a clear personality. Yesterday I tested a vial at home and on smelling it reminded me of Classique by Gaultier, then Trésor or Poeme from the same brand; once it dried, it turned oriental, like Organza. Is it bad? Probably not; it still carries the intention of those great feminine perfumes from the nineties: floral, warm, and exuberant, something rare in 2008 when everything was burnt caramel. However, it’s flat. I didn’t dislike wearing it on my skin for a few hours, but it doesn’t unfold like a product with its own essence.

  • A poorly conceived fragrance lacking personality. Yesterday I found a vial, and smelling it reminded me of Classique by Gaultier, then Tresor or Poème by the same brand; once dried down, it turned oriental, like an Organza. Is it bad? Probably not; it retains the intention of those great feminine perfumes of the nineties: floral, warm, and exuberant, and that in 2008 is worth noting because we were already immersed in burnt caramel. However, it is a flat product. I didn’t mind wearing it on my skin for two or three hours, but it never unfolds as a product with its own entity and essence.

  • Among my curiosities, I found a sample tube and applied it to my neck. I was surprised to smell that aroma that hadn’t caught my attention for years: it is woody, sweet and sour, with a respectable trail and good longevity. It is not the eighth wonder, but it is recognisable, and my mind plays with sensations from those times; perhaps it is magnificent, and I simply didn’t appreciate it then. That is the magic of peculiar aromas: they remind us of other times and attract forgotten dreams. Good longevity and intense trail.

  • They gifted it to me for my collection years ago. I don’t dislike it, but it doesn’t drive me crazy either. Sometimes it smells wonderful on my skin, and other times I feel it disappears five minutes after application. It is a chameleon perfume for me; it changes according to my mood.

  • They gifted it to me years ago, and I loved it from the first sniff, enjoying it immensely and regretting not seeing it more. Although most of its fragrances don’t fixate on my skin or have great projection (except LVEB and Hypnose), it wouldn’t be the first time I forgive poor performance solely for the pleasure of the aroma. I just saw a bottle in Chile at triple the price, and of course, I passed; if the quality-price ratio was already bad before, it makes no sense now. I have other wonders that take its place. Goodbye, my dear Magnifique.

  • It smells different; I love it in the air and it holds up well on the skin. There are worse fragrances. I have been searching for that fantasised saffron note for years and find it pleasant. I don’t understand why they discontinue it; I would like them to refine it for the picky noses before retiring this beautiful creation.

I’ve been trying for some time to understand that fantasy note of ‘saffron’; I find it pleasant. I don’t understand why they discontinue scents like this; I would like them to refine it for more demanding noses before retiring this lovely creation.

I am the younger sister of an aroma fanatic; I was a child who didn’t know her passion (she was already living with her husband in another city) and never realised the size of her collection. Years passed, and now at thirty, she helped me take the first step into this beautiful (and expensive, hehe) passion. Searching through her things, one day I came home with a handful of minis, or at least the rest, because her collection has disappeared over the years and the minis she had were stolen during a visit. Anyway, among the survivors was a small intense salmon-coloured prism, no cap, just a plastic stopper that wouldn’t budge when I tried to remove it. That bottle never caught my eye, nor did its scent, and since my sister couldn’t recall which house it belonged to, it went unnoticed. Weeks passed, and I discovered this page; with curiosity at an all-time high, I finally decided to open that miniature. Puff… Friends, is this real? What a beautiful aroma I encountered! Personally, I don’t detect the woody notes, and if they are there, they are so well-blended that they add extra longevity and stability to the scent. A single drop on the back of my hand remained penetrating for hours. What notes did I sense? Flowers… perhaps roses… fresh but completely bathed in a friendly, cheerful saffron; not the saffron from Decadence, where I find it invasive and even meddlesome… here it is a beautiful, kind, smiling saffron. I searched for a bottle online and, trusting sellers on Mercado Libre, I bought one without realising it was a discontinued jewel. Now, in full 2023, it is nowhere to be found, and I suffer over its loss, which was within my reach. If you see it, take it and do not repeat my mistake. It is Lancôme, it is rich, it is juicy, it is the soul of the newly born 2000s in a pioneering decade of a new millennium, a new century, a decade that lent itself to everything, except being overlooked. 👏

  • I don’t understand how people can dislike this perfume when others adore Oud for Greatness, which is absolute rubbish.

It hurts that they have taken it off the market. For me, it was the sister of Tresor, my signature in the 2000s. I found it very special: oriental, feminine, sexy, with incredible trail and longevity. I would love to find an equivalent to Magnific, so if anyone knows of one, please leave it here in writing, thank you.

  • I saw a partial tester from a trusted seller and pounced! I bought it blind due to my addiction to seeking vintage or discontinued scents, plus it’s Lancôme (my favourite house) and follows Spartacus, but the truth is, I can’t find anything similar to what he mentioned. It’s not a bad smell, but it’s not what I would wear myself. I am starting to let go of perfumes I only keep for the sake of collecting, so if you are from Argentina and are interested, we can swap or sell at [email protected] 😄

  • Inherited this from my mother, who never quite loved it, and years later she gifted it to me for my collection. It was a commercial failure upon launch, not because of the scent—which is lovely and long-lasting—but because it didn’t fit its era. It has a peculiar character with very faint echoes of Lancôme’s Tresor and Poème. What stands out most is the saffron and rose combination: the saffron is heavily fortified, evoking leather and raspberry in the style of Tuscan Leather, though not identical. This leather/raspberry base is enveloped by a modern rose, devoid of vintage powder. It lasts over 10 hours with a good initial projection and a powerful trail. Ideal for autumn and winter evenings; it is elegant, commanding, and demands nocturnity. Suitable for formal or social events, but not for a trip to the supermarket. Very feminine; it is essentially a feminine version of Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather. Once dried down, it becomes more wearable for a man who might be put off by a heavy rose note. In short, it is good, following the leather/raspberry trail but with a floral and feminine twist.

  • I inherited this from my mother, who never took it off, and it has now become my treasured possession. It was a commercial failure upon release, not because of the scent, but because it didn’t fit the times, although its performance is top-notch. It smells peculiar, with very faint echoes of Tresor and Poeme by Lancôme. What stands out most is the saffron and rose combination: the saffron smells of leather and raspberry, reminiscent of Tuscan Leather, a blend that left me speechless at first. It’s not identical, but it possesses that distinctive essence wrapped in a modern rose, free from vintage powderiness. It lasts over ten hours, with a projection of two and a powerful sillage at the start. Ideal for autumn and winter evenings, elegant and possessing a nocturnal presence. Suitable for formal or social events, not for running errands like buying bread, but if you own it, use it 😉. It is very feminine, essentially a feminine version of Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather. Once dried down, it becomes more wearable for men who aren’t afraid of a Tuscan Leather heavy on roses. In summary, a fine fragrance with that leather/raspberry accord but with a floral and feminine twist.
