Cocoa Morado by French Avenue is an oriental woody fragrance created for men and women. This creation, launched in 2024, is a new addition to the brand's catalogue. The nose behind this composition is Miroslav Petkov. The top notes unfold a warm and spicy opening with cinnamon, saffron, nutmeg, cardamom, pink pepper and ginger. The heart reveals an exotic and sweet depth, where oud wood, dates, frankincense, myrrh, sugar cane, caramel, Amberwood and Davana interweave their scents. The base settles on a rich and sensual foundation combining leather, Madagascar vanilla, cocoa butter, tonka bean, benzoin, labdanum, patchouli, musk and yerba mate.

A total and absolute clone of Oud Cadenza. Are there differences? Well, with a price difference of nearly 400 euros, there might be… but honestly, such a huge price gap seems unjustifiable. COCOA MORADO 100ml at 50 euros versus OUD CADENZA 50ml at 210 euros. Can anyone explain this to me? I’m sorry, it’s unjustifiable. That said: it’s a 97% clone. There are some differences, especially in the opening, and of course in projection and longevity. BUT the difference is so minimal that unless you are a perfumery sommelier (or a millionaire), it’s not worth even thinking about buying Oud Cadenza over this Arabic fragrance. Just so you know, I own both and know what I’m talking about. In summary: Age 18+, unisex, suitable for all fresh climates. Scent: 9.5/10. Longevity: 9/10. Duration: +8 hours. Projection: 8.5/10. Versatility: 7/10. Price: 0.5 euros/ml. Final score: 9.5/10.
Wonderful. An incredible, refined and elegant perfume with a sweet yet light touch that gives it a unique charm. You can really sense that blend of cardamom, cinnamon and oud. It’s a work of art; the notes are high quality. If it’s on your mind, don’t hesitate to buy it. Just note it’s in the niche style, not difficult to wear, but it doesn’t smell like a common designer perfume. I highly recommend it.

I love this perfume; I believe it is significantly underrated.
A gem waiting to be discovered. A warm, unisex-masculine winter scent that only touches gourmand notes during its sweet-fruit phase, but is predominantly incense-based, elegant, and non-smoky, finishing with woody undertones. If you’re looking for similar trends, it could be compared to Bentley for Men or Tradition by Mauricio Carbajal, though the latter is more complex and deep. Excellent performance, good price, and high quality.

Not a safe blind buy because while you might love it, the notes could be off. I bought it blindly and liked it, but found it too potent and masculine. I gifted it to my partner and it leaves a trail wherever he goes. He wore it at 7 am and it was still detectable in the room at 10 am. Simply madness. On both our skins, I noticed a super realistic leather note with an intense, sweet oud base and a heavy incense charge.

This fragrance makes no sense. If you bottled this in an Amouage or Xerjoff bottle and priced it at 200€, nothing would change. A challenging perfume, slightly sweetened but with a predominance of woods, leather, and some animalic strokes. I haven’t tried Maison Crivelli’s Oud Cadenza, but it reminds me of LV’s Ombre Nomade. As for performance, this is clearly a ‘beast mode’. It lasts beyond 12 hours and projects for 3 or 4 practically without messing up. In short, this is a gem. Under normal circumstances, I’d say it’s not a blind buy, but damn, it cost me 30€. If you can, go for it.

GREAT PERFUME, I loved the opening and the dry down, I consider it refined. The longevity is good; it reminds me quite a bit of LV Ombre Nomade and Jean Lowe Noir. That’s the DNA of these perfumes, however, it has a tiny sweet touch that makes it slightly different. If you like the perfumes mentioned, believe me, you’ll like this one. If it would be a blind buy (fulfilling the above), and if you don’t know, it’s not a blind buy; first option is to decant.

A curious gourmand. The opening is a blast of frankincense, pepper, and saffron, leaning towards synthetic. Over time, it becomes less synthetic, sweetening a bit: date, myrrh, tonka bean, caramel, dense sweetness. Then the leather gains strength, with a slight animalic touch. It settles into a soft resinous frankincense, with dirty leather, sweet but not vanilla-like; it’s a spicy-sweet tonka bean, caramelised, sugary, creamy, and buttery. You have to test it on skin; it doesn’t dry down to a skin scent; on skin, leather and woodiness predominate, while dry down changes completely to a fresh, sugary, caramelised frankincense. I haven’t tried Oud Cadenza, but based on what friends and reviews on Fragrantica say, it’s very similar. Whether it is or not, it’s a well-made scent and at 30€, it seems like a bargain; if packaged differently and marketed by another brand, it would cost much more. I need to test it thoroughly to see if I add it to my collection, but it seems like a good perfume at a ridiculous price. It still has that synthetic touch common in Arabic perfumes, but for the price, there’s no real fault. Lasting power is more than enough, 7-8 hours. Projection is short, but that’s the perfume’s intention; a mysterious scent that invites people to come closer to smell more. -Scent: 8 -Longevity: 8 -Projection: 7.5 -Versatility: 3 (winter only, evenings, and formal settings).
I can only say it’s truly impressive. Excellent, outstanding aromatic quality. It has a beautiful opening: pepper, cardamom, saffron, ginger. But soon in the dry down it becomes leather, woods, something sweet, some vanilla, caramel, and dates; you can feel the cocoa butter. Not the mate, but this perfume is powdery. I think it’s quite more masculine, but it works on a woman too. Formal x 1000!!!! Edited: I wore it to a graduation party, 10 sprays, 14 hours passed and the perfume still has a trail, and on clothes it feels like it was just applied. It’s truly atomic; I still have it on my skin, and it clings to my hair incredibly. The score is 11/10, simply spectacular; the performance is obscene, at the level of the house Bharara, like King Parfum, King Soleil, etc. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and it’s EASY to wear this oud; it’s very friendly.
Whenever you read reviews of Arabic perfumes, everyone talks about performance and seeks that ‘Beast Mode’. From my experience, Cocoa Morado is probably one of the most brutal fragrances I’ve tried. We’re talking about lasting all day; if you wear it on clothes or it gets trapped in an enclosed space, it seems to last forever. The scent can be challenging, but it’s exquisite and complex. It’s a woody oriental with a lot of personality, highlighting oud, dates, sugar, frankincense, leather, and vanilla. It has layers, presence, and a dark, dense character. My recommendation: it’s totally worth experiencing, but it’s not a blind buy; you must test it first and understand it before deciding.

Ugh… I find it very strong, quite a beast. I bought it blindly and haven’t had the courage to wear it out. I tested it on my hand and it lasts a long time; it gave me a headache, haha. I can’t imagine what it would do on clothes. I’m not saying it’s a bad perfume, but I’d advise testing it before buying as it is extremely strong.

It has a hint of cinnamon, dates, and oud, but what stands out most is the LEATHER. It’s a tanned leather blended with those notes, the creaminess of cocoa butter, and a touch of vanilla. Reminded me of Mancera Black Noir, but this Cocoa Morado is the Arabic version, much more spiced. Honestly, it doesn’t overwhelm me; yes, it’s potent, but it smells good. I wouldn’t recommend it if the temperature is above 20 degrees.
