It smells like nothing it claims to contain; it’s bland. It starts fruity but forget green apple, coconut, or plum—it’s a confused mess with no identity. Any anise? Not the liqueur, not the spice, yet it should be noticeable. Rose and saffron? Where are they? Playing hide-and-seek? In the dry-down, it just smells of something that might be amber, from the very beginning. To sum up: it smells of fruit and amber from start to finish, with no evolution. It’s an forgettable scent. I bought it blindly because I like its sibling December Vanilla (it has patchouli, so avoid if you dislike it), but it was a huge mistake. Based on the notes, I thought it would work, but this isn’t worth it. That said, my opinion on Arab perfumes: I’m fed up of feeling cheated. When I started buying them, they were unknown gems and I discovered treasures. Now they send freebies by the truckload, there are hundreds of shops and dozens of imitations of the same Western fragrance. They peddle toxic clichés as if they were the pinnacle, sometimes for free in exchange for a mention. This makes some of us look like fools, but I’m jumping ship: my last three purchases have been disappointing. It’s over; I won’t buy an Arab perfume again without smelling it first. Plus, the prices are hugely inflated, nothing like before. I predict a bleak future for them: too many launches, higher prices, and worse quality. Hope I’ve helped.
