  • A warm, comforting fragrance with a very noticeable honey note. I’d wear it all year round except in summer, particularly in the evening, as it reminds me of sunsets and golden hours. It also evokes Christmas parties; sensations that are hard to explain. The longevity on my skin is good; it softens over time but lingers for a long time. Moreover, it lasts on clothes for days, so make sure you love it before applying it. There’s something slightly irritating about it straight after application, which means it’s not one of my favourites despite my liking it. It reminds me a bit of Elie Saab.

  • Ozymandias

Intense and long-lasting, a powerhouse lotus with a sweetness that envelops the woman like a bubble of exoticism and elegance. Although the lotus dominates, subtle floral nuances are detectable within the aromatic cloud; a well-constructed and uncommon detail. Ideal for evening wear with a dress. It’s not exquisite or tender, but rather elegant: a brilliant, confident, and characterful woman. I adore lotus, even using incense sticks with that scent at home, so the only drawback is whether it comes across as overpowering to others, much like patchouli does for me. A superb trail that fills the room and very good longevity. Critical points: it lacks the complexity, freshness, and development of the classic L’eau d’Issey, plus the dry-downs are different.

  • Flowers, flowers, and more flowers: this is the second Issey Miyake I own, and it’s super floral, sweet, and fresh. It smells clean; my mum says it smells like youth. I love it, it’s the perfect scent for spring and to brighten your day.
