Mariah Carey entered the perfume industry in 2007 with M by Mariah Carey, developed alongside Elizabeth Arden. The singer took part in the project and in the design of the bottle. The line was created as a beauty licence associated with her music career and was distributed through international partners.
The catalogue was expanded with Forever and the Lollipop Bling collection, presented in 2010. Her perfumes belong to a specific stage of Carey's business activity and bring together launches with their own names, rather than forming an independent house. Revlon included the brand within its celebrity fragrance segment.
