Descripción
Luscious Pink by Mariah Carey is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2008, this composition was created by Carlos Benaïm and Loc Dong. Its top notes of bellini, bergamot and marine accords deliver a fresh and vibrant opening. The heart reveals a floral harmony with tiare flower, peony and valley lily. Finally, the base settles on white musk, sandalwood and woody notes, imparting warmth and longevity.

It’s very delicious, even better than the original M. I adore its iridescent little bottle with that pink butterfly on the cap. It’s not one of those that makes you stand out, but it’s so nice and feminine. I love it.
It’s super youthful, almost ‘girly’. Sweet without being cloying: it opens with apple and a fizzy touch (could it be the Bellini?), followed by synthetic florals with no standout notes and little else. It leaves a fruity caramel trail. It projects little and doesn’t last long (less than four hours). It’s not intense or seductive; it’s simple and jolly, like the innocence of teenagers who don’t need much fuss to be pretty. The bottle is gorgeous, iridescent with a pink butterfly cap, perfect for a teenager’s Barbie-style vanity. Obviously, it’s for day and informal occasions. Although I’m older now and prefer more intense fragrances, I couldn’t resist because it connects with my ‘inner child’. I use it sparingly, some weekends or at home (I think only three times). I considered giving it to a quinceañera so she could enjoy it more (I had a fifteenth birthday party coming up), almost wrapped it up, and in the end I said: ‘what the heck!’ I won’t let it go. It’s my occasional ‘guilty pleasure’ that brings back memories of my happy, carefree adolescence, when my only responsibility was studying and not carrying the weight of adulthood.
To me, it’s the summer of M: fruity and light, with peony and tiare taking over halfway through, adding sweetness until almost the end. I’ve read complaints about longevity in English reviews, but on my skin it lasted six hours and is still going, though the projection fades. It’s convinced me, and I want to keep it.
