  • I live in Thailand and was keen to try this local perfumer, and what a treat it is. It opens with a citrus burst that doesn’t last long, then spicy and herbal notes emerge. Later, the vanilla takes over and lingers for ages, while the other notes come and go like a couple’s dance changing every hour. The vanilla is the canvas: sometimes spicier, other times deeper or more animalic, yet it never becomes overpowering. At times, I caught a slight boozy hint. It puts me in a good mood and optimistic. The name fits perfectly: it’s like a walk with a friend, changing topics but keeping closeness. Longevity is more than enough: I wore it twice in the evening, and the next morning, after waking up, I could still catch whiffs. Projection: two sprays behind the ears; I even wear a helmet when riding my motorbike. An hour and a half later, my partner, sitting half a metre away with a mask on, asked, ‘That lovely scent you’re wearing—is that you?’ Quality is also excellent: it smells of quality ingredients and composition. Perhaps IFRA hasn’t interfered here, allowing ingredients banned in the West? That might explain why it’s only sold locally. It’s a cool-weather scent, not quite as evening-focused as late afternoon: ideal for a café in the winter evening or a jazz club in autumn. During the day, only for informal cold-weather events (cocktails, brunch). Totally unisex, perhaps leaning slightly masculine, but very little; usable by everyone. Value for money: expensive. €70 for 50ml… yes, it lasts long, projects well, and shows quality, as fragrances of this calibre should, but the price matches famous niche brands, so I find it pricey. I’m sure if I visit Spain in winter, I’ll grab a bottle to enjoy with the European cold, just to treat myself, but at this price, I don’t see it as essential.
