Agreed with the previous one. For me, it’s unisex, but a gentleman in a white shirt could wear it. It’s like Marseille soap elixir undiluted, the pure concentrate. It has a similar style to Couleur Primaire Les EAUX Primordiales, although the latter smells more like fabric softener than bar soap.
SOAPY NEW ARRIVAL 🧼 First fragrance from Acne Studios, the rising fashion house, created before Frederic Malle left his brand. Smells great! It’s clean, soapy, with moderate projection but good longevity, unisex and minimalist. Opens with aldehydes giving a sensation of Marseille soap or fabric softener, mixed with bergamot. Then it softens with white musk, like a clean second skin. Finally, on my skin it leaves a very soft peachy touch, subtle and not too sweet. There are cheaper options just as good, in the same line as Blanche Byredo or Room Service Vilhelm Parfumerie.
Good heavens, you take the aldehydic base of vintage Chanel and sweeten it with violets. It results in a mega-clean fabric softener aroma with a sweet touch, utterly addictive. It has gone crazy for me and has climbed high on my wishlist.
I never use fabric softener due to the overpowering scent. This Acne Studio seems to have gone overboard with the Mimosin. It smells good and clean, but only if you want to smell like super-concentrated fabric softener. It doesn’t smell like anything else on my skin. Not for me.
Agreed, it smells like something vintage from Chanel. Fresh, floral, musky, and with a neat touch.
Indeed, it smells clean. The projection and longevity are brutal, with no olfactory fatigue, so you notice it all day. It’s like fabric softener with steroids and cotton candy. Some might find it cheap, but collectors adore it. When you have a passion for perfumes and your collection is a luxury showcase, sometimes you need something basic and pleasant to rest from the excess. Acne Studios stays in my collection for its versatility; it has no season or gender. I give it 9/10, although the price is high.
