Tested in-store, the initial impressions are of a very spiced aroma where clove and pepper take centre stage. I detect hints of cinnamon (not listed) and a subtle, elegant vanilla as it dries. It smells like Christmas, cosy, ideal for autumn and winter. The longevity on my skin was around 6/7 hours with moderate projection. I’ve loved this new fragrance from the house and I’m not ruling out buying the 50ml bottle in the future.
I agree with Antonio and add that it gives me a certain whiff of Musc Ravageur 🤷🏻♂️
I’ll admit, it’s a complex and sophisticated fragrance, but on my skin it smells overwhelmingly of clove. That note dominates so much that it becomes invasive and unpleasant from the very first second until dry down. I imagine that if they toned down the clove slightly, it would be exquisite: the juiciness of plum paired with a powdery, creamy iris, thanks to the vetiver and cashmere, clean and sweet… but everything is smothered by a shrill clove. What a pity, a resounding no for me.
