  I love how Adidas Ace produces affordable, high-quality fragrances backed by Coty. It’s a great take on classic Boss Bottled; so far, it’s the only one I like, as the others have been done poorly. It doesn’t last long, but it doesn’t matter given the price as you can reapply, plus the opening is exquisite. Thanks Adidas for continuing like this.

Its advantage is that it doesn’t cause discomfort. A colleague said it smelled like a ‘hospital pharmacy’, but that’s the only comment so far. I haven’t received any compliments, but I like it even for wearing at home.

Given the price, it can be reapplied several times throughout the day. Its advantage is that it causes no discomfort.   March 2022 batch: Smells like Boss Bottled but it’s not a clone. It projects hot, yet the citrus notes barely linger and fade quickly. It’s very linear; vanilla and cinnamon stand out the most, but the entire composition is noticeable from start to finish. Projection: on skin, it lasts a hard 30 minutes before settling to skin scent for another 4-5 hours. On clothes, with a generous amount, it reaches 6-8 hours. Scent radius is a maximum of 1 metre, but for too short a time. The trail is faint except when first applied. In summer heat, it smells better, but it doesn’t quite fit the season. Age: suitable for everyone. Season: all year round given the price, although the profile isn’t summer-appropriate. Time of day: any time. Occasions: only for sport or heading home to smell fresh; I feel it’s too short for other events. Value for money: 5/10, it smells good but there are better options at this price point. Verdict: an affordable all-rounder that fulfils its purpose of smelling nice.

  March 2022 batch. It’s not a clone but resembles Boss Bottled. Warm opening, barely noticeable citrus that fades within a minute. It’s very linear; what stands out is the vanilla and cinnamon, though the whole ensemble is noticeable throughout the fragrance’s life. Longevity: 30 minutes of projection, then it lasts four or five hours on skin. On clothes, it endures six to eight hours depending on the amount. Projection is one to one-and-a-half metres only at first, then it retreats; the sillage is always faint except right after application. In summer with heat, it improves, but it’s not suitable for that season. Age: for everyone. Season: all year round due to the price, although I wouldn’t wear it in summer based on the notes. Time of day: any time. Occasions: given the cost and performance, only for sport, heading home, or simply smelling good; I think it’s too short for other things. Value for money: 5/10, good scent but there are better options for the price. Conclusion: a cheap all-rounder that fulfils its purpose of smelling good.

  I wore it as a perfume and it’s rich, sweet, and vanilla-like. This Victory League came out during the 2006 World Cup and, to this day, will never go out of fashion thanks to that delicious vanilla aroma.

  It’s super versatile and works in any weather, though it’s not my favourite due to the ridiculous longevity: about two hours of projection and three or four on skin. Basically, it doesn’t last at all.

  I have the 2022 batch and bought it blindly at that insane price, under 300 pesos. Without an official pyramid, my nose detects a spicy scent with citrus and woody notes. After five minutes, the brain doesn’t quite connect; I researched and it’s amber, bitter orange, and that freshly cut grass that dominates throughout. Longevity is short, around three hours on skin with no sillage, even with my brother’s help. Ideal for fresh mornings or after a shower at home; if you’re looking for people to ask for the recipe on the street, forget this one.
